CL Slytherin and Ravenclaw

Tristan Theramin VS Elizabeth Sunrise
It was perhaps an odd match. A third year Slytherin and leader of this club and a small first year from Ravenclaw, also one of the leaders. Despite the two major differences, it seemed that both were proficient enough to become leaders, so Duvessa expected a tight game.

She walked around and took a seat, waiting for the two opponents to arrive. Who were they? Ah, if only Duvessa remembered. There was...Theramin? And another Ravenclaw that the Slytherin didn't bother to remember. Gobstones had never been a major passion of hers, although she possesed a rickety set that her father bought her when she was young and had forever been playing games with Lorita.

So being to moderate a match was something that she could do with eyes closed, or so she smugly thought. However, her face betrayed no thoughts - she wasn't going to be biased in this match. Moderate, say the winner and leave. That simple.

Her cousins had often told amusing stories of how they managed to faint during a match of Gobstones, much to Duvessa's alarm. She fervently hoped that no one was going to faint, for she was not prepared to do so. And it was probably one of the most unlikely situations....

This is a classic match of Gobstones so the objective is to knock out seven of your opponent’s Gobstones before they knock out yours. Here are the throws to choose from:
1. The Classic Throw - a normal roll aimed at one of your opponent's Gobstones; DC remains the same for each stat
2. The Catapult - a strong throw; DC is lowered for strength stat but becomes higher for accuracy
3. The Conscious Throw - a wise throw; DC is lowered for wisdom stat but becomes higher for strength
4. The Careful Throw - an accurate throw; DC is lowered for accuracy but becomes higher for wisdom.

Slytherin vs. Ravenclaw
The young girl seemed quite young compared to him, strangely happy and unconvincingly naive. However, he had heard rumours of deviancy from his first impression of Ms.Sunshine. In fact, perhaps she would reveal such in her gobstones demeanour. Sitting down in front of the ring of gobstones, Tristan grabbed the eight he had in hand, flitting his fingers over them, rolling them in preparation of a throw. He said to the girl, “Perhaps you shall win as there is such a thing as beginner’s luck. Or perhaps I shall win.” His demeanour was cold, not in a way that was hateful of the opponent but rather emotionless, perfectly a statue, lips and eyes betraying nothing of his choice, a perfect poker’s face. He cocked his head sideways then the other way, settling into his position then brushed his hand over his gobstones in order to decide upon the one he wanted to use first. He grabbed one and put the others in his lap, staring at his opponent’s stones in the ring. He picked one and threw one normally, to test out the waters and see what his opponent’s reaction would be. A third year versus a first year was quite abnormal even more so as Tristan was far more intelligent than others, especially Elizabeth.

Slytherin VS Ravenclaw

All set.
Elizabeth never liked Gobstones much, she prefers chess better than anything. Gobstones though, was undoubtedly an ancient art of some form. Her friends played Gobstones, and so she's taken upon herself to learn the rules as well. Even so, this was her first game of Gobstones, and time to test her skills in a real match.
Duvessa Ember was moderator. Two Slytherin. Exactly what Elizabeth needed. She sighed to herself. "You know better than unfair play, right?" She asked Duvessa just to make sure.
Elizabeth wasn't sure who was going to win. This was, after all, her first game. She had agreed to the competition in the pure hope of having fun and in the responsibilities of Co-leader of the club. No, she does not wish to win. Her opponent looked dangerous. On the other hand, he was the one who was trying to combine Potions and Chemistry. That proved something...
“Perhaps you shall win as there is such a thing as beginner’s luck. Or perhaps I shall win.” Tristan told her, face set.
"Oh yes," Elizabeth replied playfully, green and blue eyes sparkling in the light, "I suppose so. I don't really believe anyone other than us will win."
Tristan made his first throw. Elizabeth pondered what she should do. Having never tried before, she could only flip through the mental book inside her head and choose a throw.

CL Slytherin and Ravenclaw
Tristan Theramin VS Elizabeth Sunrise
The round began in an amusing way. Tristan, the blond third year picked up a gobstone and threw it. And Duvessa meant to provide a taunting commentry throughout the game, so pursed her lips and watched the stone move. To her surprise (she had thought that the boy was rather good at them) failed, and it miserably slouched to the corner, knocking none of Elizabeth's set.
"Aaand first throw a failure. Pity." She said, though no sorry in her voice at all.

Next came the Ravenclaw's turn. It took all her inner will not too tilt the board in favor of the boy, for Miss Sunrise was not on the best terms with her. But it wasn't on her to be a biased judge - no, that was unthinkable. She ignored Elizabeth's comment and the start calmly, wondering if the Ravenclaw would fly in a temper again.

Still, she watched Elizabeth aim her throw. And then Duvessa gave a chuckle as it seemed to swerve around the end.
"Nor does Elizabeth have the luck, " She pressed, "Or the talent." She gave a smirk, talking about both Theramin and Sunrise. She didn't particularly care about their opinion of her, she just wanted the match to continue.
