At these times, Ara doesn't like the library. Why? Because there are tons of people studying and she hates random social interaction when she doesn't need it. She tried to study in her dorm but too many things distracted her. She ultimately decides to go to a classroom. Ara gets dressed in a casual outfit and got a tote bag. She filled the tote bag with a notebook, a water bottle, quills, ink, paper, and her books. And she was off the classroom. She opened the door to see one other person, she was quite disappointed that it wasn't empty but 1 person won't hurt a lot. Ara goes to the seat at the very back of the room, to not get distracted. The ravenette put her things on the table to start studying.

She hears the other girl muttering incantations and stuff like that. Ara can see that she is under a lot of pressure but she couldn't really do anything other than let her focus. She flips a page and writes notes in her notebook, she's good at taking notes and she has her notes nice and organized in her notebooks. Her notebooks are dedicated to one subject each. Ara's handwriting is nice as well, easy to understand just like her notes.

Dora looks up after finishing her current note, and sees a girl enter the classroom. She's a pretty girl with long dark hair and bangs, dressed casually in a baggy shirt and pants. They make eye contact for a brief moment and Dora looks away shyly. A part of her is frustrated that she's no longer alone.

'No, it's fine.' She thinks to herself, 'We can share the space, you can't have it all to yourself just because you're.. socially inept.' Dora sighs, perhaps louder than intended, and tries to focus back on her studies. Although, now that there's someone else nearby, it feels too embarrassing to practice incantations and wand movements. What if she says or does something wrong and the other girl notices? What if she laughs?

Well, she can't just sit here doing nothing either. Dora needs to study, to do well on her exams, she just has to.

What to do.. Maybe it would be better to break the ice now. At the beginning of the year, Dora might have snuck away. Now, though, she bites her lip and takes a chance at saying something.

"Uh, um.." She says quietly while looking at the ground, "I, uh, well, I'm practicing some incantations and.. Sorry if it's a bother. I'll try to be quiet."

The other girl spoke to her, it was a bit uncalled for to Ara since her brain was on 'autopilot studying mode'. She was processing the sudden interaction for a few seconds. She finally thought of a response, "No, no, its ok... Its actually helping me study since you're saying them out loud" the ravenette said with a straight face and her face still pointed at her notes.

"You seem to be under a lot of pressure anyways" Ara wanted the girl to not feel that conscious that she was around because she looked like she was under a bunch of pressure. Her body language says it all.

'Should I help her?' The ravenette thought for a bit, Ara had a natural frowning face but it turned into a small concerned face. She knew how it felt to be under a bunch of pressure especially from parents and family. Once she needed to give a speech in a important business meeting saying her future plans because it was her family's responsibility to look after and direct the company and she was a part of it.

"Want to study with me?" Ara offered without thinking a whole lot before saying it. "I have a lot of notes" she pointed at her many notebooks and notes each sorted by subject. Ara has never really offered to help someone except for that one time. She's trying to become more social. But the ravenette is a bit late on it since people have made friend groups already and it was already more than halfway through the school year.

The girl looks a bit startled that Dora spoke to her, and she inwardly chides herself. 'Perfect, now I have truly bothered her.' How is it that Dora always manages to do exactly what she avoids? After a few moments, the girl responds. "No, no, its ok... Its actually helping me study since you're saying them out loud"

"Oh. Oh, good." Dora replies, still embarrassed. So, she's here to study too? That's not surprising, exams coming up and all. Dora wonders if she's having an easier time with all this..

Her brow pinches together as she looks back at the page. She should know this, she does know this! Why is she blanking now? What if she forgets everything during the exam? Do students get held back at Hogwarts for failing exams, or do they just kick them out?

As Dora tries her best not to spiral down that train of thought, they girl speaks again and she almost misses it.

"You seem to be under a lot of pressure anyways. Want to study with me?"

Study together? Well, it is said that two heads are better than one. Dora's still more used to working alone, because before Hogwarts she was alone for the most part. But this year, she was surprised that once in a while it might be nice to study with others. Maybe it won't be so bad, though she's nervous working with someone she's never met. Still, she nods politely and brings her own materials over. "Alright then."

Glancing at the girl's notes as she sits nearby, Dora's impressed. "You do have very nice notes." Very clean and organized, Dora tries to keep hers the same but ends up writing a lot of questions and notes in the margins, and maybe pack in too much information sometimes.

Well, if they're going to study together, Dora should introduce herself. She sticks out a hand, and quietly greets, "Isadora Everridge. It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Pleasure meeting you too Isadora. The name's Ara Villa, and once again, pleasure meeting you" Ara introduced herself as she greeted the girl. Although she said that with a straight face and monotone voice, the girl was certain that the main message came through. Ara looked through her notebooks, "I don't know what you're studying specifically but here are my notebooks filled with notes and stuff. You can get the notebook you need, they're labeled anyways" she said to the girl while writing some History of Magic notes with the textbook at hand. Ara loved and hated history, she loved learning about the past but she hated how foolish humans were.

'I hope she's satisfied, I don't even know why I invited her to study with me. Was I desperate? Did I just want to help her? No. It can't be that simple, nothing is. But I'm going to pass it off as a gut feeling for now' the ravenette thought. She sometimes glanced at the girl while they were studying since she is still self-conscious and awkward.

Ara sighed as she finished her History of Magic notes. It was always hard to do HoM notes since she had to write a lot. Now it was time for Potions.

"Pleasure meeting you too Isadora. The name's Ara Villa, and once again, pleasure meeting you" Ara greets Dore just as politely, if not more so. She didn't smile much, but it's not like Dora does either. She tries not to worry too much as she joins her.

"I don't know what you're studying specifically but here are my notebooks filled with notes and stuff. You can get the notebook you need, they're labeled anyways" Ara says, and Dora quietly says, "Thank you." She is a little confused, though. When the girl asked if she wanted to study together, Dora didn't think she meant letting go through her personal notes. It's generous, of course, and Dora's grateful but... maybe she expected they would work closer together?

'What are you thinking? You barely know her, how can you expect that.' Dora closes her eyes briefly. Studying with Tesla probably altered her perception too much. Not everyone is as outgoing and friendly and willing to like Dora. This is just politeness, nothing more, nothing less.

Dora decides to keep to herself as much as she can, looking for something to study that doesn't involve many incantations. History of Magic, yes, she needs to work on that. It's easily her second worst class behind Transfiguration. She doesn't see Ara's notebook on that right away, and realizes it's the one that Ara is finishing up in. "Ah, if you don't mind.." Dora says nervously, "May I see your History of Magic notes when you're done? Thank you again."

She wonders if History is a difficult subject for Ara, too. Or maybe it's her favorite class? Dora just hopes she's not taking up too much space.

Isadora asked for History of Magic notes. Ara gave them to her and pulled out her Charms notes and book instead. 'Does she have trouble with HoM?' she wonders. 'I don't even know why I'm helping her. I don't even know her! It's like my body acted on its own... weird.' she then proceeds to zone out for about 5 minutes. Ara still zones out a lot unfortunately, it is so easy for her to zone out especially after thinking a lot or doing a task that she isn't that happy doing.

The ravenette is still studying and is rather happy that Isadora wasn't that noisy unlike most people, especially those in the library who are just there and not even studying, just chatting with their friends and distracting them. Ara was thankful that Isadora wasn't like those people. She was just quiet and polite, the ideal person that Ara wanted to be around her.

The girl studied quietly and diligently for the next 30 minutes. She even did a piece of homework that she planned to do tomorrow in just 20 minutes. Ara made occasional glances at the girl but she didn't really mind her being around unlike most. She was happy to find a study partner that wasn't disturbing.

Ara hands over the notes politely without saying anything. Dora tries to calm her nerves and the little voice in her head that says she's being weird. Going through Ara's notes, Dora appreciates how organized and helpful they are.

History of Magic is a subject she's mixed on. It's interesting, but it's also difficult to understand all of it. And sometimes history can be so dark, like with the Salem Witch Trials they've been learning about. It's horrendous how all those witches and muggle women were killed, and how the Scourers were involved. Dora's glad that the U.K. has Aurors instead of that. Something that confuses her is why Scourers' descendants seem to hate wizards so much. They, themselves, have magical ancestry. Is it because they're sort of like Squibs? Dora remembers her grandmother talking about how Squib terrorists are mad because they don't have magic. Is it like that?

Her pondering and studying leads into a thoughtful silence, with both girls content in their own spaces. Dora finds that she likes it, as she wouldn't know how to hold a conversation anyways.

After about half an hour more, Dora has trouble concentrating any more and decides to take a short break. After burning out so much during spring break, she found that a good book could refresh her interest and get her back in a studying state soon. Dora takes out the book she got at the Book Day Event, Frankenstein, and cracks it open halfway.

Hopefully Ara won't mind her diversion.

Ara turned to Isadora, she was reading Frankenstein. 'Oh, a classic' she thought. The girl remembered reading that book when she was 8. Her sister said it was scary but it really wasn't for her. It was her second time reading a 'scary' book. 'It' by Stephen King was her first though, she read it when she was 7. Ara loved this book and still re-reads it from time to time. The ravenette was still studying but she decided to take a break as well, she pulled out The Shining. She's re-reading it for the first time since she was 9. She knew it had a 'film' or whatever muggles call it. But she was a pure-blood so she couldn't see it and know what a film is like. Ara wants to watch it though.

The girl has took a liking to horror and thrillers from a young age. She liked a bunch of genres but horror and thriller are one of the first ones she's read. Ara read a few pages, she remembers the book a bit but not that much since she's read other books after The Shining as well. After 5 minutes, Ara goes back to studying as usual. She was almost done for today's session and was concluding her notes with summaries already. The ravenette started with summarizing her potions notes first. Ara summarizes with bullet points and small descriptions. She also puts a small box for terms that she will look back to at the left corner.

Terms, especially for potions are a bit forgettable and tricky so that's why she puts a box for them in her notes when she needs to. When she's done with that specific topic, she'll summarize, maybe put terms, then put it in the binder. She'll repeat the process until she's done.
