The Meeting (Caitlin) Closed

Caitlin slowly snuck up behind Arceus. "Boo!" She yelled as she grabbed his sides gently. She laughed when he screamed. "Sorry, sorry. I could not pass up the opportunity. It was too good!" She sat beside him and looked out at the lake and smiled brightly. "What's up Arc? If you say the sky I'm going to push you into the lake." She joked with him as she pulled out a thermos of hot chocolate, two cups, and some chocolate bars. "Too much? I didn't want to come empty-handed and this was all I had in my trunk." She hummed and placed them on the ground before something caught her attention. "Look! It's the giant squid!" Caitlin exclaimed as she stood up and pointed at it. Her eyes twinkled in amazement as she stood still to watch it swim before it disappeared under the serface of the water. "Aww... We should name it. I bet it doesn't like to be called 'the giant squid' all the time. Maybe Flin... or maybe Vic? What do you think Arc?" She smiled over at him as she sat down and poured herself a cup of hot chocolate and one for him two. She took a sip and sighed.

He jumped when she scared him.. "Hey!..Ok I'm not I would have done the same thing", he lightly shoves her, "I will get you back though so better watch your back"  He smiles and drums his fingers like he's plotting something..he whispers "The sky" before seeing the hot chocolate "Ooo.. Hot chocolate that looks good, I got some things too" He shows the cauldron cakes and water,"I only have water cause i'm a peasant" he says jokingly. He quickly turns around when she mentions the giant squid, "Whoa.. that thing is massive! Yeah we should name it he looks lonely everyone just calls him the giant squid and giant squids should be appreciated too!" He says as if he's in the Ministry of Magic holding an important meeting. "I dunno he or she.. or it I don't know hmm.. this is a very important decision I have to think about it very carefully I mean the faith of the world relies on this one question, what should we name the giant squid!" He puts his fist in the air like he just ended a speech, "Hey Cait.." he looks like he's holding in a laugh, "Why don't we call in.. Squidward" He bursts out laughing at his own joke and calls out "Squidward! How are you!" in the direction of the lake.

He hands her a cauldron cake, "Here you go I had two in my trunk". He rubs his eyes "I have a really bad headache" he tells her still lying on the grass, "I barely slept last night because of it too" He keeps rubbing his eyes and looks really sleepy.

Caitlin's eyes widened when you said the name. "Oh... My... God... YES! Squidward it is!" She laughed loudly and covered her mouth as she held her stomach. "You are the best!" When she had finally calmed down she handed one of the cups to you and took the cauldron cake from you and took a bite. "Why have a never had one of these. They are amazing! And they have melted chocolate in the middle? This is heaven!" She joked and finished it off before washing it down with a sip of her hot chocolate. She looked over and listened to you speak while she frowned. "You really should get more sleep Arc. Lay down and put your head in my lap and take a nap. We have a few hours before curfew anyway." She said with a motherly smile as she helped you lye down. "Don't fight me on this or next time I'll put a sleep dought in your drink," Caitlin said sternly before pulling a book out and opening it up. She sat leaning against a tree with your head in her lap, a book in one hand and the other petting your head to help lull you to sleep.

Arceus smiled when she liked the name, "Squidward it is", he said punching his fist in the air.When she told him to sleep he didn't resist I was too tired and really needed the sleep but his head hurt way to much so it was hard for him to actually fall asleep he just lay there with his eyes closed on her lap without saying a word so he might be able to at least get a minute of sleep so he could actually function properly the next day but more than that so he didn't say something stupid and totally embarrass himself in front of everyone, suddenly he couldn't move and when he opened his eyes all he saw was darkness, he blinked and a tree on a hill with a swing on it appeared he slowly walked up to the tree this must be a dream he thought. He didn't know what else to do so he just started swinging on it, it was boring at first but then it started moving on it's own and he flew off it, he felt no pain so it must have been a dream and when he opened his eyes he was back on her lap and when he looked to the other side of the lake he saw the tree it was facing towards the lake. He told Caitlin about his dream got up and started walking there he couldn't stop he just kept walking there he felt like something would happen but what.

He started walking towards the tree it-it was calling to him but why? It was a long walk to the other side of the lake and when he reached it and looked over to Caitlin who was beside him. There was also the same swing and it looked exactly the same except in the dream the lake wasn't visible. He slowly approached the swing. It could be cursed he thought to himself, he could touch it and die.. but being this close to the school there was no chance. He sat down on the swing like last time and started using it and just like the dream it started moving on it's own! He didn't do anything but then he remembered flying off the swing in is dream and if that was to happen he'd be thrown into the lake. He looked at Caitlin and muttered "I have to get off this thing now!" but it was going to fast now almost going around in a full circle. At least I know how to swim he thought to himself and now he was going so fast it was hard to hold on finally his grip was about to break, he held on for dear life but it had to happen. He was flung into the lake and didn't land well too he was thrown in head first luckily it was deep so he didn't hit his head on the rocks at the bottom. He swum to the top and once his head came out of the water he found himself in the middle of the lake.

He started swimming as fast as he could to the shore but he was quite far add that with the fact that the water was freezing, his whole body was already shivering and he was afraid he might get hypothermia or frost bite. Just a few seconds after he started swimming he saw something under him. "S-squidward" he said out loud while shivering, he swam as fast as he could even though he would never outrun the giant squid. He felt a tentacle wrap around his legs pulling him under, he tried to stay afloat but the pull was too strong and eventually he was pulled under. But not for long "Squidward" himself got out of the water and started squeezing him really hard. Arceus felt somethings crack and he cried out in pain. My wand! He thought to himself but he couldn't move his arms to reach for it. He probably thinks I'm a fish or why would else would he be doing this? He should be friendly. He just looked around for help.

Caitlin hummed a soft tune as she read to herself and ran her fingers through Arcs hair. She didn't notice when he started to dream and just kept reading. She was startled when he suddenly sat up and closed her book. "What's wrong?" She asked and listened to his dream. "That... I don't know what to say... I'm not a dream reader. If my mother was here she could help you figure it out... I can send her an owl... Hey! Where are you going? Wait for me!" Caitlin cried as she stood up and quickly put her book away. She ran to Arceus and put a hand on his shoulder. "What are you doing?" She asked but bit her lip when he didn't respond. "Come on talk to me. I got to know what's going on it the blond head of yours." She said as she shook his shoulder gently. When he just kept walking Caitlin had no choice but to follow after him. Several times she had to stop to untangle her hair from branches or to walk around large logs and boulders in her way before rushing to catch up to Arceus. When the finally reached the tree she was gasping for breath. "I don't like this place. I don't feel right. We should just go back." She said as she wrapped her arms around her middle. She watched as you sat down on the swing with wide eyes. Just before you were thrown off she tried to grab ahold of you only to just miss. A scream left her lips as you flew into the lake. "ARCEUS!" She watched you try to swim for a moment before tearing off her cloak and shoes and jumping into the lake after you. With her wand gripping tight in her hand she swam as hard as she could and watched in horror as you were drug down underwater. She dove down and pointed her wand at the tentacle before shouting a hex at it that made it release you. 'Thank you, mom, for making me take those swimming lessons!" She sent out a silent prayer to whatever god was listening that she got to you in time to pull your head above water and started the long and gruelling task of pulling us both back to shore.

Arceus started coughing up water, What happened? He thought. I remember going to the lake to meet Caitlin and.. Caitlin! Is she here! Is she ok? He wanted to call her but his lips just wouldn't move and he noticed he was trembling. An I dead? He thought to himself But if I was dead I wouldn't feel anything right? I thought that was how things worked. "Caitlin.." He tried shouting out but it was barely a whisper. He tried opening his eyes but his eyelids just felt so heavy.. Is that water? I remember! It was the squid! and then Caitlin saved me!  He thought as he heard the sound of water to his side. He finally managed to open his eyelids a bit and saw he was lying on some grass, he also noticed he was drenched to the bone. He tried sitting up but ended up being in even more pain. Squid 1 Arceus 0 he said to himself and let out a little chuckle but ended up clutching his chest in pain.Then he noticed the pain in his arm and remembered the squid holding him. He then sightly tilted his head sideways and saw the Lake but no Caitlin. "Caitlin!" he called he got on his hands and knees wincing in pain. I hope she's ok!

Caitlin coughed up lungfuls of water at a time as she tried to breath. She was wet, cold, half drowned, and all she wanted was to go to sleep. But she knew better than that. If she went to sleep now she would not wake up. With every a cough, more water came up and her chest felt like it was going to explode. When she could mildly breathe without the risk of dying she pulled herself to her feet. She had to get help quick or her newly proclaimed brother could die. Caitlin waisted no time with her shoes or her cloak she stumbled her way through the thick trees and to the castle. Please let me make it. Whatever god may be listening please let him live. She thought as she pushed herself to get to the castle faster, but there was no need to go inside when she managed to find one of the teachers outside. She quickly explained what had happened and the teacher quickly had another student take her to the hospital wing as they went to go help Arceus. She kept praying for him to be safe and to live. She couldn't lose any more family.
