A Vial of Trouble

The silence between them was undeniably awkward as Aurelia dipped her fingers into the small tub, bringing her thumb and index finger tightly, pinching a bit of the ingredients and carefully sprinkled it into the pot. She did it one more time.
The funny thing about pinched was that they didn’t have an exact amount unlike teaspoons and tablespoons. The amount put it would probably depend on the size of the finger. An exact calculation was needed for potions, no just pinches, you’d never knew when you’d put a bit too much or too little.
Aurelia thought for a while, she was adopted. The girl had only found that information out about a month ago. Of course her parents would have known about it, but how about her Grandmother? The one who owned the Schütte Company, had she known?
Using a wooden spoon, Aurelia started stirring the cauldron anti-clockwise. She raised an eyebrow when Emma asked quite impatiently if she was done. Why did Emma care if she was done or not? The Ravenclaw had specifically said, she was only there to talk to the professor. Apparently, it wasn’t so. Aurelia tolled her eyes and purposefully made the stirring much slower after the second round. That’ll get the girl annoyed.
Aurelia remembered about the costume party, the one the Professors had said would happen. Aurelia was probably going too since her parents had told her that she wasn’t going to Munich with them for the real Oktoberfest as there was still school going on. It was purely frustrating.
Shortly after the Professors had made this announcement, students starting talking about dates for the ball. It wasn’t a ball, it was a party. Ever since the Charles York incident, Aurelia became uneasy attending balls. She knew that there was only a very slim chance that anyone would be as crazy as him, but still, Aurelia couldn’t help it.
Aurelia finally finished her tediously stirred cauldron. She took one of the many glass vials from her bag, and stuck a funnel into it. With steady hands, she poured the orange liquid. “So Emma, who is the unfortunate lucky one going with you to the costume party?” Aurelia asked, her voice amused. Honestly, she was interested, she was in charge of the gossip section in the Gryffgazette anyways.

A Vial of Trouble
Time was slowly dwindling as Aurelia added the pinches of the mixture, she couldn't wait any longer. Just a few more stirs and the potion would be completed, and of course, she wanted to be the one to ruin it. Mostly because she wanted to be the one to tease her about the mourning of her brother. It had been years since he had passed, she just needed to get over it.
The more she thought about it, she was helping the small portion of friends Aurelia had accumulated inside of her first and second year. For once, her hatred had turned into sheer anxiety. It was going to be her fault if she let the potion wind up inside of her hands, and she couldn't imagine an assemblage of three or four students roaring at her at once, but it wouldn't happen. At least, she believed so.
As the slowing process of Aurelia slowed down, her eyes narrowed slightly. It was as if she was trying to get her to sabotage the potion, she didn't understand, but that was typical around her. Still, before she could issue the spell out of her mouth the bottle had winded up inside of an orange vial, a smirk appeared on her face.
The orange liquid was satisfying, indeed, she was a master at brewing the potion. She couldn't imagine how...
"There's a party? Wait, nevermind. That one I suppose. I hadn't thought about it, I was just going to go with one of my friends. If that is alright with you..." She replied, muttering the last past to herself. She hadn't spoken to many guys at Hogwarts, she wasn't interested anyway, but that didn't mean they could go as 'friends'. Still, even with going as friends along with her best boy-friend, she was still dateless.
Hoping off the table to get a better grip on the floor, she pointed her wand at the bottle. All she needed to do was shake the bottle around and spill the containment inside of it, not too hard, right? It was like making a mess on purpose, so pretty much like normal. Before casting the spell, she looked out the door, thankful the hallway was still empty. The professor didn't need to come now, he could take his time, she had forgotten her question anyway, so her trip was useless at this point. Thankful that Aurelia was there, she cast the spell.
"Wingardium Leviosa," she mumbled underneath her breath. Shaking her wand slightly before giving it an immense movement, she looked at the soon empty cauldron inside of Aurelia's hands. If only she could empty her mind as effortlessly as the cauldron. Unfortunately, she didn't like being controlled, and she made sure.

Emma has stated she was going with a Friend to the ball withs Friend. Her voice trailed of strangely when she had said if it was alright for her... alright for what? Surely Emma wasn’t going to ask her to accompany her to the party, Aurelia would be the last person she’d want to go with.
Aurelia wasn’t going with Emma. She wasn’t planning to unless somebody asked her, it would be polite to agree. She didn’t want to be the one inviting in case the person turned out or be a crazy maniac like York.
Aurelia’s attention returned to completing the potion. The cauldron pot was almost empty. There was a hint of sudden movement from the corner of her eye, a hint of brown. Aurelia whipped her head back up only to see Emma with a raised wand, aiming at her vial of orange liquid. Aurelia knew it! She was here to sabotage her potion.
“Godverdomme, Emma!” The Gryffindor yelled at the Ravenclaw, her voice bouncing of the cobblestone walls of the room.
From the back pocket of her jeans, she swiftly pulled out her own Cherry Wood wand. There wasn’t time to saw the spell out loud so immediately when she got an aim, she screamed the incantation in her head. She casted the spell Finite Incantatem and Silver Light shot from her wand.

A Vial of Trouble
Emma beamed at the voice of Aurelia, sure, her words weren't the kindest (not that they ever were) but at least she had ruined some of the orange liquid. It wasn't good for the body, she didn't care what the wizards had made. It was a potion to lose pieces of your memory, and that was enough for her. Along with the Polyjuice Potion, why was the potion even created?
"Sorry no-" She let out a yelp, unlike her as a bolt of silver, shimmering light came darting for her chest. Well, not exactly her chest. There was no injury, no memory loss, and no blood, except her the sudden stop of her spell, she was completely fine. Before then, she had no idea what had emerged from her mouth, but it wasn't pretty. Something like 'Goderdomi'? She couldn't remember, the only thing on her mind was destroying the flask of liquid inside of her hands.
Aurelia hadn't vocalized the spell but still managed to get the spell out of her mouth. That was pretty much impossible for a second year, more or less, a fifth year at Hogwarts. It was officially war, and she wasn't backing down till that bottle of hers was destroyed.
Instincts were a completely different thing than her mind, and they were starting to overpower her. Without thinking, she aimed her wand at the bottle inside of her hands. Even though she despised Aurelia, she wouldn't hurt her, well... That was partially a lie, but she had returned fire. So it was practically like asking her to attack.
"Flipendo!" She roared as the radiant blue jet of light appeared from out of her wand. Regretting it as soon as she dropped her wand. She covered her face, to prevent the shards of glass from puncturing her body. She was in trouble. Typical.

A Vial of Trouble
Very rarely was Anton not in the potion’s classroom. After having to deal with multiple classes that day, on little sleep, he had stepped out for a brief break. It wasn’t as if he was gone for more than an hour and a half. How much trouble could students get into in his classroom when he wasn’t there? He doubted much.
Unfortunately, he found himself very, very wrong as he turned the corner and heard the commotion coming from his ajar classroom door. It wasn’t as if he didn’t hear it - he heard the levitation spell being used, and then the yelling of a foreign language. By the time he appeared in the doorway, two wands were pointed at each other. Whatever issue these two children had, they would take it out of his potion’s room.
He only recognized one girl, a particularly bratty child who threw a temper tantrum because he wouldn’t help her retrieve rarer ingredients. That was fine; he decided his decision was the right one. The other girl was the one he recognized as using more spells, and he rose an eyebrow. She cast flipendo towards the Gryffindor, but neither seemed to notice him, so he had the advantage.
A flick of his own wand and a simple “Protego,” came from his mouth. It stopped the flipendo from hitting the Gryffindor. At this point, he walked into the potions classroom and looked at them both.
“Miss. Bezuidenhout. I understand you drink Forgetfulness Potions, but I do want to remind you that overdoing it will cause you to forget things you don’t wish to. In this case, it seems to have backfired as you forgot one of the main rules of Hogwarts, which is dueling is forbidden except for the Dueling Club. My classroom is not a dueling ring.” He was addressing Aurelia, but the words were also cut towards Emma, and his eyes fell onto the Ravenclaw.
“Put your wands away and clean up the classroom. You,” it was towards the Ravenclaw, who seemed to have little part in the potion brewing process, “May leave now. I’ll expect you and Miss. Bezuidenhout here in this classroom on Saturday morning, seven AM, for detention. I suggest you do not be late.”
He would stand there until the potion was cleaned up and both girls were out of the classroom.
