───── There were some days where Lilliana was bubbly and energetic. Others, she acted plain grouchy, and the day seemed like such a drag. Today, was the latter. She found Wednesday’s tolerable, they were halfway to the weekend, where she could just relax, nothing in her way. It was just another day in the week. But, for some reason, Lilliana felt like the classes that day were especially dull. The first year wished she could just squeeze her eyes shut and tune everything out. In hopes of clearing her mind, Lilliana decided to head over to the Library.

She had went to the Library multiple times that year, but had only managed to read a small portion on the vast amount of books the space had to offer. Hopefully, she could just read, and have some nice peace and quiet. Entering through the tall open doors of the Library, she assessed the place momentarily before setting out to look for a book that was doable for her to read. Walking over to a bookshelf that towered above her, she began to lightly brush her finger on the spines, her eyes flicking from cover to cover.

This time, it hadn’t taken much time at all to find a book that seemed ‘interesting enough’. Lilliana’s eyes soon enough settled on a book, pulling it out, and glancing at it before heading over to an empty table. The girl flips it open, and begins to read, but gets interrupted by a loud noise behind her, reverberating around the room. Lilliana’s head turned back, trying to find the source of the noise. Her eyes stopped on a girl her age, likely a fellow first year. She hadn’t seen them around much, maybe once or twice in the halls, but she doubted they were in her house.

“Uh, do you mind?” She snapped, narrowing her eyes at the other girl. “There are other people in the Library too, you know,”” She crossed her arms and glared at her accusingly, before adding in spite, “The world doesn’t just revolve around you!” Lilliana let her gaze linger on them for a couple seconds, then, pale blond hair in a tight braid swishing behind her, returned to reading her book in peace.

Just as Cassie is sitting down next to the desk and trying to focus herself in Transfiguration homework, though she is still very angry and annoyed, another sound comes from her back. She listens to it, but realizes it is just worsening her emotion.

She turns around, and sees that pretty Slytherin girl narrowing her eyes, staring at her. She bursts out of anger. 'I know the world is not going around me, thank you, we are not as stupid as some Slytherins are. I DO NOT NEED you to tell me about the library rules, I know! I didn't keep banging, if you are not deaf, it's none of your business and leave me alone! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!'

Cassie spins herself back, facing her homework. She does not want to see that girl again. She, has added a bit to Cassie's bad emotion. Cassie takes a deep breath, and another, trying to calm herself down and get focused in her work. 'It's alright, it's not that a big problem to not get full mark.' she says to herself, quietly. 'It's none of her business.' she murmurs. Soon, she immerses herself in learning Transfiguration. I am not going to lose any points again in Transfiguration, she says to herself.

───── Her long, pale fingers moved to turn to the next page, but the voice of the girl caused her fingers to stop in midair. Lilliana turned to face them directly. She pursed her lips, narrowing her eyes at the figure, staying silent for a few seconds to make up a retort. “And you’re not the smartest for a Ravenclaw,” Lilliana mused, “If you know the rules, how come you aren’t following them?” The Slytherin spoke in a tone indicating she was bored, the very tone that was commonly used to tick people off. A few seconds passed, and a short glance over her shoulder told her that the Ravenclaw had gone back to trying to read. This reminded her of a similar fight with a Ravenclaw, she had a while ago, Cynthia something. “What’s your name, anyways?” Lilliana drawled, tapping the tips of her fingers in a rhythm on the top of her chair. Leaning her back on the table, Lilliana sat on her chair the opposite way, so she was facing the other girl. The book was settled in her lap, though she didn’t have the effort to go back to reading it, after the screeches the Ravenclaw had made. Instead, Lilliana twirled her pale blind hair around her finger, looking at Cassie expectantly.

The stupid Slytherin girl keeps on talking, not seeming to give Cassie a moment of silence. 'Yes,' she says, giving a stare to that girl. 'I am not the smartest Ravenclaw, but I am smarter than you, even if you are the smartest Slytherin. I know the rules, and you have NO EVIDENCE to prove that I disobeyed them! Can you leave me alone, miss FOLLOW THE RULES!'

'My name? You want to know my name? I will tell you anyway, for I have the basic manners. I am Cassie Jiang, a first year Ravenclaw. I have got an O in every homework of every subject. What about you? What's your name miss FOLLOW THE RULES? And, do you think your hair is very pretty? I know you must be a part-veela or something, I do not care, that will not earn you a nice grade or a nice life miss FOLLOW THE RULES. I am just wondering, are Slytherins all such annoying?'

Cassie snaps at Lilliana and turns around. 'It is none of your business MISS FOLLOW THE RULES, leave me alone.' Cassie goes back to her Transfiguration reading, trying to keep that girl out of her mind. After all, Slytherins are annoying.
