While she couldn't tell what was going on at the moment due to the fog conjured up by Duvessa, the sounds of moving feet from the direction where Zach stood is enough to tell her that the spell was still at work. His moving silhouette can be seen in the fog but barely and she would've loved to see what kind of dance it was. She had caught a glimpse of it earlier before the smokescreen was up but only for a brief moment.
"Just a couple more seconds or so." She called back to Amaris once she heard her voice, her gaze falling to the direction of their moderator. Oh, poor Zach indeed. She definitely should apologize after this duel. At that time, something caught her attention, a flash of green light, growing closer. "Woah!" The Gryffindor ducked down to avoid it, glancing back to where it had gone and then to where it came from, a grin appearing on her face as the adrenaline began to course through her body. "Seems like I'm being targeted as well." She muttered as she's pretty sure that one came from the direction where Duvessa stood.
"Let's keep having fun." The thrill of dueling, she could feel it slowly creeping up.

It was evident that her opponents were not so skilled in casting. Nor, unfortunately, she thought, were their ideas for spells. Zachary decided (whatever possesed him?) to cast the Curse of Bogies on her. The fog was billowing around her much to Duvessa's satisfaction. Perfect.
Whether it was just luck or Duvessa's focus, she managed to do a brisk step to the side, doing her best to hide the satisfaction that cast over like a shadow. But the feeling of dread mounted in her stomach as she guessed what was coming for her if she did show it... Duvessa cast her own spell, the Green sparks charm. And unfortunately, it didn't hit, Raizel seemed to evade with ease. She herself didn't cast, presumebly too focused on the attacks coming her way. She gave a small groan that she hid hid quickly, without anyone hearing. In a way each player had 2 against them....
'That spell is affecting you more adversely than not.' Amaris called out to her, and she gave her a satisfied smile. Duvessa nodded to her, before calling out:
"Why do you think I cast it?" She began running down the list of spells she could cast next round... well, hopefully cast.

Why did everyone love Incendio so much? Have Zach and Duvessa not heard the phrase: 'Don't play with fire'? Apparently not. All of the fog had settled now, and Amaris was able to see the duel clearly. Amaris' gaze flickered around the room, first landing on Duvessa. The Slytherin had spared some time to smile at Amaris and utter a comment. 'Well don't get smug,' Amaris said. That would be bound to jinx her. Just as it left Amaris' mouth, Duvessa's wand was already pointed and a fiery Incendio shot towards Raizel.
'Watch out!' Amaris cried, to no avail. The spell had landed squarely on Raizel. The editor-in-chief's aim was superb. However, even with her 'dying' breath, Raizel had managed to produce a spell. Through the chaos, Amaris managed to hear, 'Arresto Momentum.' She froze for a moment. What was Raizel trying? Amaris had heard of that spell before, but never seen it in the first year textbooks. Was it possible that Raizel was a prodigal learner? She must have been a talented one, then, since the spell succeeded. As the spell hit Duvessa, her movements became a slur, almost as if she was drunk.
And Zach? He was still dancing. Amaris guessed that it should be over soon, perhaps by the next round. Hopefully it would be, considering this wasn't a dancing competition. It was a duel. However, Zach managed to snap himself back into attention, producing... you guessed it... an Incendio. The spell had been perfectly produced, but as the Ravenclaw pointed his wand towards Duvessa, it suddenly shot back instead. Zach was certainly not faring well this round. 'You doing alright back there?'

The decision to use the Fire-Making Spell appears to have been a mistake. Due to a lack of concentration while casting the spell, Zach was unfocused and made a fatal error by performing an incorrect wand movement. As a result, he felt the effects of the spell that he had originally directed towards Duvessa, burning his clothes and injuring himself. And he also still dancing the ballet, doing all the pirroute, arabesque, and pas de chat. He looked so ridiculous doing all the move while on fire especially he looked like the cat on fire when do the pas de chat. He looked like doing fire dance but in ballet! "I'm so stupid. I shouldn't have taken the risk of casting Incendio. I must be looked so stupid right now. What should I do?" Zach's thoughts were reflected in his panicked expression. Amaris asked if he was okay, but all he could do was nod his head with a panicked expression. Poor him. Maybe Fortuna was not on his side this time.
It appearead that something exciting is happening between the opponents. Raizel had casted a Slowing Charm on Duvessa, and it seemed to have been successful. Meanwhile, Duvessa had also casted a Fire-Making Spell on Raizel, which had also worked. As a result, two students are now on fire. However, Raizel was not burning due to her own spelll. Zach must now consider his next action.

A streak of flame from one of her opponents' wand, zooming through the air as it made its way to the Gryffindor. She has her eyes on Duvessa yet she didn't get to react on time to avoid the incoming jet of flame, taking a hit and setting her robe's sleeve on fire. That's hot… literally. She would be surprised if that didn't leave a burn mark that she'll probably need to get treated after this duel.
Despite the pain from the raging flames, Raizel couldn't help but grin. Things were getting exciting, just as what duels should be. While it isn't looking great for her nor Zach who had his spell backfired on him and setting himself on fire, she isn't gonna go down without retaliation. Bearing the pain, Raizel made a quick gesture with her wand, eyes still on Duvessa. "Arresto Momentum!" She casted the slowing charm and to her surprise, it worked. A flash of blue light left her wand, shooting towards the Slytherin student who had just set her robes on fire, getting a good hit on her.
Unexpected, but satisfying. You don't get a lot of chances to cast a successful advance spell. Luck? Talent? Whatever was at work during that casting, she'll take it. Guess that shows that at least her spellcasting had improved. Maybe she'll finally be able to see what she had been trying to find for the last few months in this duel. She'll need to do more spellcasting then, to see the progress of her studies.

"Well don't get smug!" Amaris called out to her, as Duvessa rolled her eyes. She had never met a moderator so involved before, who seemed to be supporting players and targeting the rest. Her eyes shone darkly as she scanned the two faces for the next attack.
But then she moved quickly and suddenly, deciding to change tactic. The phrase the good defend, the evil attack seemed to be able to echo what she was doing, because a sharp Incendio was cast at Raizel. The young Slytherin put herself into the spell, and it hit Raizel squarely in the chest. Victory.
But there was no time to gloat, for a spell made her move more slowly, the way she had once seen Than move. Slow, insane steps, somehow to moving too quickly. Of course. The slowing jinx. She moved for a couple more seconds, knowing how hard it would be to evade. However, luck was with her.
Although she was not on fire [looking at Raizel] she managed to have an awful round by walking rather clumsily, and gazing out of her eyes to see what Zach was going to do. Fortunately, he decided to cast Incendio as well, but the spell backfired. Instead of the flame reaching her, it went towards him. Dancing. With fire.

Thank goodness. Zach had finally stopped dancing. Despite how funny it was, fire dancing was certainly not Amaris' favourite form of entertainment.
However, despite the excitement of the previous round, this round was quite bland. Zach extinguished his fire with a classic Extinguo (much better compared to Incendio, which made Amaris think of her intial 'let's burn down the common room' phase). Even though he had set himself on fire in the last round, the spell was casted perfectly, without any margin for error. Following his movements was Raizel, who produced the same spell, but not as wonderfully. Still, it worked, which was all that really mattered.
Duvessa went in hard, though. Not caring that her opponent was on fire, the Slytherin attacked Raizel with a Tarantallegra. Thank goodness Raizel had managed to extinguish the fire before the spell hit, otherwise there would be yet another fire dance for the moderator to enjoy. Still, Duvessa had missed, not too wildly, but still missed as Raizel dodge. Amaris didn't want to show any bias, but she wondered with distain at what would happen is someone tried to cast at Duvessa. They would be bound to hit, with her evasion lowered by the Arresto Momentum.
It was the middle of the duel and the editor-in-chief was still unscathed. However, Zach seemed to be beat up pretty badly already.

Thank goodness, the Extinguishing Spell that Zach cast on himself worked and extinguished the flames that were previously raging in his body. Additionally, after losing control of his body due to the Dancing-Feet Spell, he is finally free. His final move was a pirouette of seven turns. He was no longer dancing ballet (or fire ballet). He could stand upright again, although his body felt sore from the unusual movements he performed and his breath was short. He bowed his body briefly to rest for a few seconds and then takes a deep breath. He remembered that his brain need enough oxygen to maintain focus and think clearly.
On the other side, Zach saw that the flames that were previously on Raizel had also been extinguished. She used the same spell as Zach. Zach looked towards Duvessa. The girl seems to be casting a spell. From the movement of her wand, Zach could see that it was the DANCING-FEET SPELL! Zach shuddered at the sight of the wand movement and, as expected, Duvessa cast the spell. Zach closed his eyes, preparing to dance again, but the spell was aimed at Raizel. However, Raizel managed to avoid it quite well. The incident made Zach's heart race. The Dancing-Feet Spell scared him. He couldn't imagine what his body would be like if he was forced to dance that dance again. He took a deep breath and exhaled, trying to relax more. He raised his wand and prepared for his next move.

Tempting as it was to just shoot spells at the one who had set her on fire, Raizel needs to keep in mind that the flames from her burning robe would cause damage to her if not put out immediately. Perhaps it was the sudden rush of adrenaline that somehow had made the flames less hot than what she had expected, feeling less pain from the burn on her skin under her lit clothes.
The duel was getting interesting, more action packed as the three of them exchanged spells although for this round, only one spell came flying, and for her nonetheless. Wow, this girl sure is focusing fire on her for some reason, and while she was busy putting out the flame too. Luckily, that Extinguo came out nicely. Not as nice as Zach's but it did its job. Don't need it to be fancy.
As soon as that flame was out, Raizel hurriedly stepped to the side to avoid the incoming dancing-feet spell from Duvessa. Good thing that she saw that flash of light coming from the Slytherin's wand. Duvessa sure is going for her. That's 2 spells coming from her. That made her wonder though… what did she do to her? They haven't even interacted that much aside from a couple of games. Did she upset her at some point? If she did, she can't remember what or when that happened.
Oh well. No point thinking about it as this is a 1v1v1 duel. Raizel shrugged it off as she got back into position after that quick dodge, looking over to Zach. The Dancing-feet spell's effect had finally died down and he surely didn't look too impressed by it. It won't be surprising if the Ravenclaw develop hatred for that certain spell. Dancing and fire. What a combo. While it might be enjoyable to watch for others, it isn't that fun for the one affected by it.
Alright, enough observing. It's time to get her head back in the game. While she should be looking out for spells coming from both of her opponents, Duvessa seems to be the one she should be keeping an eye on some more. She began exercising her arm, loosening up the stiff joints for hopefully a better spellcasting. That Extinguishing spell earlier wasn't that impressive compared to when she cast that slowing charm. She'd need more work on her spellcasting if that is the case.

This round was literally playing with fire... again. After Incendio'ing himself, Amaris thought Zach would have a fear for the spell, rather than a liking of it. Once again, he shot the spell towards Duvessa. The spell was performed almost perfectly, the wand movement precise and the incantation exactly enounciated. Apparently, after the terrible backfiring of the last round, he had taken more care. This time, with the help of Arresto Momentum, it hit without a hitch and set Duvessa aflame as soon as it hit her.
Raizel, taking full advantage of her Arresto Momentum, shot, you guessed it, an Incendio towards Duvessa as well. While the spell's performce was almost as well as Zach's, and while it hit the Slytherin, it did not set her on fire. Still, the spell hit Duvessa strongly, making Amaris cringe a little. 'How much do you love fire?' Amaris yelled threw the flames. 'You know, you guys are making Duvessa into a wonderful fire eater, ' the Cuban teased with a grin.
Then Amaris stiffened, noticing that the table was turning. Arresto Momentum... such a powerful spell. It allowed almost every spell to hit, lowering Duvessa's evasion to the point of almost non-existant. At first, Duvessa had the obvious upper-hand, yet now her stamina was decreasing faster than any other. Amaris guessed there were two rounds left of the Arresto Momentum, they could take her down. Talking about Duvessa... she didn't cast a spell this round, how odd. She wasn't giving up, was she?
