Photographs Solo Finished

Dane held his letter in his hand, the rolled parchment tightly curled under the red ribbon. He bit his lip as he entered the Owelry, preparing to send a letter to his parents and hoping they could figure out how to respond back. Thinking back to what the letter had withheld, he closed his eyes.
Dear Mum & Dad,
I met someone today who seemed pretty nice and didn't attempt to hurt me. I enjoyed our conversation, and the topic of my camera came up. I know you said not this year, mum, but I would really appreciate it if I could have my camera to take pictures with. I promise I will still make good grades and I won't let my photographs distract me like I did in primary. So far Hogwarts has shown many promises. I was sorted into a house called Gryffindor whose mascot is a lion. It's too much to explain here in this letter, but when I come home I will be more thorough, I swear. My studies are going well and I will send my report card as soon as I can. I love you both.

Love, your son,
Dane L. Hawethorne
