People haven't always been there for me, but music has

Her song was beautiful, she managed to remember every single note and the way her father had taught her. That's my girl, he used to say, laughing as the dark haired daughter managed to play it nicely. Music had always helped her manage emotions; mainly anger or sadness. It was the one thing that helped her control it and she became considerable nicer after that.
And today, the pain too strong to hold, she made her way to the rehearsal rooms to practice. And soon, Chopin Necture began to play, the one that people played at a funeral. The keys washed her away, she was blinded by it. No more voices or people, it was just her. And her thoughts; clear as day. For a few moments, she continued to play after producing several songs and they all came to a close.

Finding his notebook and @Duvessa Ember in the Rehersal Room
Simon had spent earlier that day in the Rehearsal Room for some time, mapping out some notes to a composition he had been working on. Music to him as well was a release and with Third Year being a particularly difficult year it was nice to have that oulet.
He had long since left - off to do the normal things one did while at Hogwarts. He finished an assignment or so for class and met up with some friends for supper in the Great Hall (although as usual he didn't eat very much). It was as everyone was moving toward their desserts that he remembered that he rested his notebook in the corner of the room earlier, over near the phonograph.
It wasn't a concern of his that someone may look at it, as his compositions were usually rather pleasing, but what he didn't want was a staff member, classmate, or school elf to toss it accidentally, thinking it was an unwanted item that once belonged to a student.
He departed from his friends and made his way to the Rehearsal Room to retrieve his missing item. There was someone playing the piano and he heard it even before reaching the heavy wooden doors to the room.
Hoping to not disturb her, he gently and slowly pushed them open, coming into the room. There was some murmurs from the portraits as they greeted him and Simon placed his index finger to his lips to silently ask them to be quiet. He then went to the corner of the room and got his notebook.
Be kind to one another. (*iNPC is Miles Thatcher)
