Notes taken in the grounds
Such a lovely day. Linda finished classes and went to the grounds. It was nice, not cold and not hot. She let herself enjoy the weather and view for some time.
Right, she still needs to write some notes. She put out of her bag books and notebook and opened them. It was a different feeling to do it here, not inside the castle.
She started to read carefully everything in books and adding what she didn't write in her notebook. It was important to make it in the way it will be easy to find necessary information later. With finishing of the year coming closer surely she'll need to repeat everything. Or maybe it's better start to repeat already. Though it's not gonna take much as she was studying in a great way during the year.
Linda realized now that she didn't see some of her friends already for a long time. Perhaps they are busy with something. Maybe she will write them a letter later.
She was lost in her thoughts while highlighting headings in her notes. Surely if someone would come it will take some time for her to notice. Not that she knew if she'll meet someone or not. But weather was really nice, so it won't be surprising.

Wandering around Hogwarts was my favorite thing to do after a long day of classes. While some liked to hole up in their dorm, eat food or head to the library to study, I always needed fresh air to clear my mind. Today was a nice day so I went over to the Grounds.
I had been to the Grounds plenty of times before but it always stunned me every time. The grounds are always peaceful with rivers, trees and flowers all over. Among the branches lay many animals and each tree had at least 1 person either chatting or doing homework under the delightful shade.
I chose a spot under a tree that was mostly empty except for one girl. From what I could tell she was a Gryffindor. She had light brown colored hair with dark brown eyes. I was pretty sure that I had seen her before. Maybe even talked before. She seemed to be doing some homework or taking notes on something. Exactly what I had to do! What a coincidence?
I hated taking notes because they were long, tedious and boring but maybe doing them with another person would help. “Hey! I’m Reyna Evergreen? What’s your name? Have we met before?” I said introducing myself to this girl.
I took out my notebook and my pencils while waiting for her reply. I smiled at the scenery. What a lovely day! I do hope that I can do my notes with this girl. That would make everything so much more fun!

Linda was in the middle of her making notes as she heard a girl and saw her sitting closer. Linda looked at her. Reyna. Did she forgot her already?
"Hey Reyna. I am Linda, we've met before in the library and even were going to library together sometimes." Linda smiled so she wouldn't sound rude or offensive. That was okay. She was changing hairstyle and clothes quite much, so it was easy to not recognize her from beginning.
"How are you Reyna? Are you also going to take notes?" Linda asked while highlighting another heading. She liked to take notes as she didn't need them to be long. In fact most of the time they weren't long at all. She was just finding important information including the one she thought could be useful for exams.
She looked at Reyna, stopping her work for a bit. She was smiling. She looked happy thinking about whatever she was thinking. That was great. Linda smiled too. Then she glanced at Reyna's notebook. Cover of it looked nice. Will they just take notes together or will they discuss something as well? She didn't know it yet. It was perhaps better to finish notes first and then talk. But also why been just silent?

As she turned to look up at me, I recognized her at first glance. "Hey Reyna. I am Linda, we've met before in the library and even were going to the library together sometimes." she said. Shoot. How could I have not recognized her? She didn’t seem mad or anything so that was a good sign.
"How are you Reyna? Are you also going to take notes?" she asked.
Phew, at least she still wanted to talk to me. Linda was extremely nice so it did make sense but my brain loved to overreact.
“Oh my gosh, Linda! Hey! I didn’t recognize you!” I smiled.
I hoped that she didn’t think I was rude and I hoped that that would fix it. Linda was changing her styles often now so sometimes it was a bit hard to recognize her. Especially since she had been facing down over her notebook and not looking up and facing me.
“I’m great! How are you?” I asked. “I’m also planning on taking notes but you know I’d rather procrastinate!” I smiled again.
“You're taking notes too right? It would be fun to do it together!” I hoped that she would agree to my suggestion because doing notes with a friend was way better than doing them alone. And you also need to get your notes done too, Reyna! No procrastinating and just talking the whole time!! Yet somehow I knew that that would never happen.

Linda smiled looking at how Reyna finally recognized her. That's good, then it's just her style that delayed her been recognized. And yet she was thinking to change her hair color. Will it make it even harder to recognize her then?
"I'm also great. You know there's awesome idea about taking notes. You organize them and write only something you find important and useful. It takes less time and sounds like more fun then. Maybe you could do it while I'm finishing mine."
Linda didn't like to delay things. She preferred to do everything during the week to have weekend just for fun. Procrastinating taking notes... This surely was not good idea. Perhaps Reyna could reconsider her decision while looking at Linda's notes? She liked notes the way she did them. Though she could understand Reyna. If just writing them with writing everything, it will surely take much effort and time. Not something she would like in such lovely day.
"You can look at my notes. Maybe you will like it and find notes more fun than it is." Linda smiled and laughed a bit. She surely wasn't going to be rude with her friend. "You can ask me anything you want." Maybe they could become besties?

I nodded my head. That was a good idea. I did have to take notes anyways. I opened my notebook and nodded at her idea.
“That’s a really great idea! Thanks Linda!!!” I replied. And that was true. I did like art and this made it sound actually fun and artistic! And it also took less time! A win win!
"You can look at my notes. Maybe you will like it and find notes more fun than it is." Linda smiled and laughed a bit. "You can ask me anything you want."
Awww! That’s so nice of her! Linda’s a great friend! I hope that we can become even better friends! Maybe we can even hang out in the summer!
“Thanks so much!! You’re a really great friend you know!!” I exclaimed. I smiled, peeking over at her notes.
I finally had the energy to start my notes and with Linda’s new strategy in mind I started.
“You know, do you want to hang out together in the summer or do you already have plans?” I asked.
I knew that this would be a fun thing to do and that we could really improve our friendship with this.

Linda looked at Reyna. Now she looked more ready to make her notes. That was really nice to write them together. Linda was already almost done with it when Reyna said she is a great friend.
"Thank you, you are a great friend too." Linda smiled sincerely. Maybe they could be besties. That would be awesome. Reyna knew a lot about muggles and magic world, Linda, although already knew some things from muggles, still was more expert in magic world. Especially they both seemed to share some nice things as hobby.
"Maybe we could become besties." Linda thought out loud before she realized she actually said it.
She looked at Reyna thinking if she was feeling same way. "Let's. It's gonna be great to hang out together, specially as we will have more time and no curfew to care about."
Linda liked the idea a lot. She had thinking to invite Mell over to her house for two weeks, but other than that she didn't have other plans. She wasn't going to stay for summer camp though.
Maybe Reyna and Linda could even travel somewhere together. "Is there some country that you wish to visit?" Maybe Linda even will invite Reyna to her house. Maybe they could buy everything for second year together and go together back to Hogwarts. Linda liked all these thoughts. It will definitely make their friendship much better.

As I wrote my notes, I started to think about what we could do during the summer. Occasionally I glanced over at what Linda was writing and smiled. This was fun! Definitely not what I had expected.
Linda thanked me for calling her a great friend. I smiled because it was true. Linda was an amazing friend.
“Maybe we could become besties.” Linda said. I grinned. That was a total YES!!
Answering my previous question she replied, "Let's. It's gonna be great to hang out together, especially as we will have more time and no curfew to care about."
I totally agreed with that statement and was so happy that Linda agreed as well. Then Linda asked which country I wished to visit. I thought about it for some time. Well I did want to visit a lot of places. But for now… Hmmm… I think I want to visit Greece.
Answering her previous question I said, “I think so too!!! I would love to visit Greece… How about you? Maybe if there’s some place that we both want to visit we could go on a trip together!!!”
I had a feeling that this was where Linda was going when she asked me that question. I also felt like it would be fun to go on a trip somewhere with a friend. I had never done that before so that would be a new experience.
I continued on with my notes but I couldn’t stop thinking about these summer plans. I knew summer was going to be really fun if I was going to spend it with one of my really good friends. Hopefully soon to be bestie…

Linda smiled when she saw that Reyna also was hoping to be besties. That was great and she had a feeling summer will help them much with it. Greece. It's interesting, it definitely was in Linda's plans for future. I would like to visit Switzerland and Japan in near time. But I have Greece in my plans as well. And it will be awesome to have a trip together. Linda smiled. Reyna shared her wish to travel together. Linda wondered what they could do this summer. Do you have ideas for us to do this summer? Maybe they could travel somewhere already this summer. Linda didn't travel before, but she already had it planned. She looked at Reyna. Perhaps she could invite her to her mansion. She will definitely like the library. Maybe it was really good idea to have her at the end of August and go to Hogwarts together. She had to think about it more. She already finished her notes so now all her thoughts were in summer plans. She was going to dye her hair, traveling with her brother and probably buying mansion in another country. More like summer house, but knowing her family, it still will be quite big. She also had Mellani agreed on coming for some time in summer. This summer was definitely full of plans and Linda liked that now her hopefully soon be bestie will be also in these plans. |

I smiled as Linda replied, “I would like to visit Switzerland and Japan in near time. But I have Greece in my plans as well. And it will be awesome to have a trip together.”
I nodded my head continuing on with my notes. My notes were almost done by now as I now had the motivation to finish it.
“Do you have ideas for us to do this summer?” Linda added.
I thought about it. Maybe we could go somewhere. Or we could meet up near the end of the summer and go to one of our houses or we could take a road trip and then go to Hogwarts together!
I decided to share my thought process. “Well, maybe we could meet at the end of the summer and go to one of our houses. We could even take a road trip and travel somewhere! Or we could fly. Or we could just stay at one of our houses! Then we can go to Hogwarts together!! What do you think?” I replied.
I wondered what Linda thought of my plans and ideas. Maybe she had similar thoughts? That would be nice! I decided to finish my notes so that I could put in all of my energy into thinking about summer plans. Linda had already finished her notes so I was going to finish them too as I waited for Linda to either add on, agree or just say something about my ideas for summer plans.
