Learning about Muggle's pv Cassian Clarke Closed

Cassian was running late. Again. It was pretty usual for him, he had overslept and rushed to get dressed and down to the Great Hall for breakfast. But then at the Ravenclaw table he got distracted chatting with all his friends. He had planned to just grab a quick bite to eat and then hurry to the Muggle Studies classroom to meet Mark, the pureblood Hufflepuff.

Mark had recently approached him and, knowing that Cassian was a half blood, had asked him a question. Something to the effect of wizards were allowed to wear their wizard robes around muggles. Cassian had grinned lopsidedly and laughed a bit. But it seemed that Mark’s question had been genuine. Cassian had briefly explained to him that some muggles really were odd and wore strange clothing styles. But the best explanation he could give Mark were medieval and fantasy conventions. He told Mark that some muggles liked to pretend they thought magic was real. So the dressed up according to folklore and had big events. Mark had looked a bit confused, so Cassian promised to teach him more about muggles. Cassian told Mark to meet him Saturday morning in the Muggle Studies classroom, since there was so much stuff to look at and explore.

And now we was running completely late. One of his Ravenclaw friends had invited Cassian to a game of gobstones and he was halfway to the courtyard when he remembered his previous commitment with Mark. It wasn’t exactly his fault his brain moved a million kilometers per second, nor that he was very easily distracted. Now rushing through the hallways of the castle, he thought about how he was at least pretty fast.

He made it to the Muggle Studies classroom and pulled himself inside. He saw Mark sitting at a lonely desk and rushed over to him.
“Mornin’ Mark! Look, I’m so sorry I’m late! I got a bit behind and distracted and then I forgot and almost went to play gobstones with some friends. Oh! And I also overslept, so that didn’t help anything either. Have you been waiting long? I hope not. I’m real sorry about this.” He paused for a quick breath.
“Anyway, I’m ready to answer your questions. Fire away! Anything you see here that you wanna talk about, or more questions you have about Muggle culture I’d be glad to help you out. Take a look around the room. Anything catch your attention?” Cassian then looked around the Muggle Studies classroom at all the Muggle objects that littered the bookshelves and cabinets. Muggle posters for different movies and music groups covered the walls. It really was strange to see so many normal things in the wizarding school.

Mark wasn't waiting long when Cassian showed up. He was waiting for pretty much like 15 minutes, but he didn't mind at all. He smiled at Cassian before saying,
"Mornin' Cassian. It's ok. Oh, I see. That sometimes happens to me. Heh, I also sometimes show up to some of my classes late since I've overslept. No, I was waiting about 15 minutes or so, but I was reading this book. It seemed interesting, actually it is."

Mark than showed Cassian the muggle book that he found on the bookshelf of the classroom. Mark decided to look around to see if there was anything he wanted to know about muggles. Actually, he wanted to know a lot about muggles, but didn't know where to start. After finding a question he should ask Cassian, Mark says,
"Actually, I have a lot of questions to ask. But first, I'd like to know if the muggles that think magic are real believe in creatures like unicorns, vampire's, werewolves, and other creatures we have here in the Wizarding world. I'd also like to know if they believe in Metamoprh's."

Now Mark was very curious what Cassian's answer would be. The young boy's hair was probably changing from black to orange. But, he knew that it probably was, and if it did, Cassian probably noticed it.

Mark had explained to Cassian that he hadn’t been waiting long. Feeling a little less guilty, Cassian then looked at the Muggle book Mark had been reading. Cassian recognized it.
“You’ve been reading The Hobbit,” said Cassian. “That’s a good one! A very popular Muggle story. It’s actually in a genre called ‘fantasy’,” Cassian explained. “Fantasy stories are about magic and talking animals and far off places and the like. Most people read them for entertainment, but there are some that believe it’s real.” Cassian liked this, helping a student understand more about the Muggle world.

Cassian listened to Mark’s next question. “Actually, I have a lot of questions to ask. But first, I'd like to know if the muggles that think magic are real believe in creatures like unicorns, vampire's, werewolves, and other creatures we have here in the Wizarding world. I'd also like to know if they believe in Metamorphs.”

“Well, I suppose there are some that believe in those creatures. I mean, Muggle stories are full of vampires and werewolves, most of them are based off of the actual creatures that we know to exist. If you ever get the chance, maybe give Twilight a chance? It’s pretty popular as well.” Cassian thought for a minute. Now metamorphs was an interesting idea. He had never met one and they certainly weren’t as well known as werewolves or unicorns. Just as he was pondering the idea, Cassian saw Mark’s hair suddenly change from black to a vivid orange. And suddenly he understood.

“Oh! You’re a metamorph?” Cassian asked? “That’s cool! I’ve never met one before! And I suppose some muggle believe in them, but they usually call them ‘shapeshifters’.”

When Cassian had told Mark the book he is reading is called The Hobbit. Mark looked at it and noticed that it looks like something in his own world. When Cassian explained it, Mark than realized that it probably was.

"Oh, cool. So, to some people, Hogwarts and all of this magic in the wizarding world is a type of fantasy, right?" Mark asks.

Mark was now very curious. He knew that he couldn't ask anyone else about Muggles, since his parents pretty much won't tell him. But, Mark is very happy that he had met up with Cassian and asked him, so now he can learn a lot about muggles.

"Oh, cool. I'll give it a try. Wait, where do I find it though?" Mark says.

Now he was very curious what this Twilight is all about. Cassian did say that it is about vampires and werewolves. Mark knew that his hair color is still orange, since he is still extremely curious.

"Yes, I am. My mother and brother are too. Oh, cool. Well, we kinda are shape shifters since we can change our noses to be a different shape. We can also complete change ourselves as well. Actually, I don't know about completely changing, but maybe it is true." Mark says.
