closed Studying or making new friend pv Mark Myers

"I'm not quite falling asleep on History of Magic but it's certainly getting hard to not sometimes. Not my favorite." Linda smiled. It was very easy to fall asleep on it, but she didn't want to offend Professor as he was surely doing his best.

She noticed that Mark was worried for a bit speaking about sleeping, but she didn't show that she noticed it. It was okay for her. Good thing also he didn't react in anyway on her blood status. That's great.

"Oh that's so nice. What did you try from food so far? I like adventures too. Which spells did you invent? And as for me I like cooking, knitting, playing guitar and piano, reading and surely spend time with friends."

It was interesting to spend time here now with talking. She didn't mind spending more time here as she didn't plan anything else for this day. When he was saying about friends, she started to think. Do they have mutual friends? Is someone of her friends like enemy to him?

She smiled when he was talking about family. She also was sure in her family. They were always supporting and understanding. And grades... They were awesome, so far just two E and all others O.

Mark didn't exactly invented an spells, he was just playing around and muttered random things that came to mind and saw if they were spells or not, but of course none of them were actual spells. And he decided to tell Linda, if she did ask. Which she did, so he said,
"Cool! I tried food from Japan, Korea, America, and other places that are magical. But, I definitely liked the food in Korea and Japan. I didn't exactly invent any spells, since I was young and had no idea what I was doing. I was just muttering random words to see if they were spells."

Mark wondered if Linda believed what Mark had said, since it was true, but is sometimes hard to believe. He just doesn't know why though. But, decided to not ask, since he wanted to know if she was going to say anything about it or not.

Mark knew that he and Linda were getting a long well and are starting to form a good friendship that can surely last long. Which makes him very happy. And he has a feeling that Linda is agreeing with him, but in his thoughts. He doesn't know why though

Linda smiled at Mark's reply. She didn't like history as subject, but there were some really interesting topics in past to read about.

"That sounds really great. We're you in all these countries as well? I don't know much about it, I didn't travel outside England and I didn't try any other cuisine. Sounds like fun. Did any of them actually work somehow?"

Linda felt curious. Playing as a child trying to say anything to see if it's spell. She surely didn't do it, knowing from her family that it's not good idea to play around magic. But sometimes she really wanted to use those cooking spells her mother used. But anyway she can't use magic yet. She's just 12.

They were certainly getting closer to be good friends. What was interesting to Linda is if they would actually keep spending time together or it's their only meeting. That would be sort of sad to become friends and just not talk anymore.

"Are you interested in musical instruments?" Linda asked looking at Mark. She hoped he would ask something else as she didn't really know what to ask else. It was nice to sit and talk here with him, but she felt like she couldn't find a question to ask. Maybe it's just because he didn't ask her much so she felt like she would be annoying asking more.

"Yes, I have been to Japan, Korea, and America. But, I don't recommend going to North Korea. South is better. Nope, now of them worked, but its OK." Mark says replying to Linda's questions.

Mark began wondering if he and Linda would be able to see each other again after this meeting. He hoped so, since it'll be sad to make a new friend and never talk to then again. Actually, that just makes no sense.

But, Mark knows that this will never happen with him and Linda, since he likes her company, even though they just met. But, he definitely likes hanging out with her. That's for sure.

When Linda asked if he plays an musical instruments, he decided to tell her a secret no one else knows. Not even his child hood friends. Only his parents, brother, and now Linda knows.

"Great, question. Promise me to tell this to anyone, since its a secret that only my family knows of. I play the guitar. And I also rap as well. So therefore, I am interested in musical instruments, what about you?" Mark says.

Now he wondered how Linda would reply. But, he's also trying to think of a question to ask Linda, but so far he has nothing.

"Oh I see. Can you tell me more about country you liked the most? Maybe I would travel there for some days." Linda smiled. It would be nice to travel. Perhaps she can do it in summer if they won't have events where she has to be. Not travel to Nothing Korea though. She was thinking to visit Switzerland or Japan. She decided to discuss it with her parents. Maybe her brother could take her one day.

She listened to Mark sharing a secret with her. Surely she would keep it secret. She also felt kinda special but at the same time started to wonder did he really not share it with anyone else? And if so, what made her so special that he decided to share... She looked at him before answering his question. He didn't look like lier so she decided that he really didn't tell anyone about it before. Well, surely except his family.

"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. I play guitar and piano. You know maybe we could try to play something together?" It would be nice to play. There were not much students who were playing musical instruments. So possibility to play together was always interesting to Linda. Also she didn't play piano since long time.

"Sure. OK, so for both Korea and Japan, you kinda need to know the language. Or you can learn there, like me. But, I really like Japan a lot. I would recommend going to Japan. You can see Mahoutokoro, if you want to see it." Mark says.

He was glad that Linda asked about his place. It was definitely Japan. He loved it there. He actually wants to live there, but knows that he can't since he's going to Hogwarts. But, he also loved it in South Korea as well.

He was glad that Linda will keep his secret. He was quite worried that she wouldn't, but he didnt show. The idea of him and Linda playing something together, made him smile. He was very happy.

"Sure! If we work great, maybe we can be a band?" Mark says.

He wonders if he and Linda could form a band when they become older. But he knows it depends on how the two sound together. For some odd reason, Mark knows how bands are formed. He doesn't even like any bands.

But, what he does know, is that he wants to live in Japan when he becomes older, get a job there, and just stay there. He definitely likes Japan more than England. But, he also likes Hogwarts.

Linda smiled while listening to Mark. It was clear that he liked Japan more than Korea. Japan. She heard about blossom tree. Did he see it? "Did you see blossom tree? I heard it's really beautiful."

Linda was interested in traveling in future. Now she's just 12 and she would be able to travel only with brother as her parents were quite busy and she didn't want to bother anyone else. Japan was definitely one of the countries she wanted to visit. Also Switzerland. Maybe she would ask her parents about it. If they were also interested in it, they could buy a mansion there.

Linda realized she got lost in her thoughts when she almost missed Mark's question. Band. She didn't plan to make music as profession although she already created some melodies. But playing together here, she didn't mind as long as it didn't affect on studying.

"Sounds great. I have some melodies I created. Though it's more like hobby for me and I do it as long as it doesn't bother me from studying."

Linda smiled and again started to think. If they have a band, how will they name it? Then she thought about completely different question. "But if we create band, your secret will stop been secret, while if we just play sometimes, less possible to be found out, no?"

Mark speaks

"Yes, I have see the cherry blossom trees in Japan. I've also seen them in Korea. There called the sakura flower. You can pretty much see them all over the world, but only in spring, and also for a little while." Mark says.

He was quite sure that Linda had probably seem the tree, but he didn't know, so he just decided to tell her about it. But, he didn't tell her everything about the tree, just mostly information that he thinks is important about the tree.

"Cool. Honestly same. I've written some songs when I was in Japan, and there obviously in Japanese. Some of them are also in Korean. But, I don't have a lot of English songs that I've written." He said, he paused before adding, "That is true, but I don't really mind. I just don't want my secret to be revealed if I'm only by myself. If I'm in a band or group than I'll be fine, also it doesn't matter if people know about my secret."

Now he wondered how Linda would react. He also wondered if she knew his other secret, but knew that she probably didn't notice since his appearance hasn't exactly changed at all while their having their conversation.

Linda was thinking about what Mark said. See them only in spring and a little. It still should be better in Japan. Sakura.

She felt that he didn't say everything he knew, but it was fine for now. "Which country would you like to visit else?" She noticed that their talking went far away from studying and it now seemed like they were friends. Or were they?

She became a bit interested to hear his songs. Could she ask him to share? "Korean and Japanese songs? It would be interesting to hear." This way she asked but not insisting. She thought it was a bit strange to make it sound like a big secret and then so easily say it's okay if everyone will know, as long as he's in band. But she didn't show it. He must have his own reasons for it.

She looked at him more focusing for a second before she had sudden question. "Are you metamorphmagus?" She felt like he probably had another eye color some time ago. Or maybe she just didn't focus on it. It was nice to be metamorphmagus as Linda thought. But probably annoying as well as a lot of people would be asking to change something to see. She didn't want to be a one, she dreamed about being animagus.

Mark knew that the conversation he and Linda are having is definitely far away from the topic of study, and he is happy to call Linda one of his friends. When Linda asked him about which other country he'd like to visit, Mark had to think, he then said,
"Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I guess China or Thailand."

He had no idea why he wanted to visit countries in Asia, but he just wanted to. Especially since his family is in Asia at the moment except for his parents since who live in London. He then wondered what Linda would say to him about wanting to visit more countries in Asia.

"Yep. Really? My songs are not with me at the moment, there at my house in Japan. But, I could always write some while here at Hogwarts if you really want to hear." Mark says.

He didn't want to sound rude or anything, but it was true. He didn't feel like bringing the songs that he wrote to Preston from Japan, he decided to keep them in his manor in Japan. When Linda guessed what his other secret was, he was shocked, completely shocked, he knew his hair color has definitely changed to white.

"Woah, how did you know? This is the first time my hair has changed. Let me guess, you'd like to become an animagus because you think people will tell you to change your appearance if you're a metamorph. I mean, my older friends did, but no one here has, yet." Mark says.
