An Unprecedented Friendship

Mark speaking | Mark's thoughts
Mark was in his dorm trying to do something that'll keep him occupied and not bored. When he realized that nothing was working, he decided to take a walk and maybe meet someone new. So, he left his dorm and walked around the castle.
Mark than stopped when he reached one of the many corridors in the castle. He realized that he has never been to this corridor before. So, he decided to walk around and see if he can find anyone to hangout with. But, he noticed that no one was here.
"Is this an abandoned corridor? Actually, I don't think it is. I just think people are either in their house's or somewhere else but not here. But, if no one is here, how will I be able to make friends. Actually, I'll just wait." Mark thought.
He than stopped at a pillar and leaned against it. He hopes that someone would come down to this corridor and talk to Mark before he goes back to the common room and tries to do something that'll allow him to not be as bored as he is at the moment. Mark knew he should wait, so he'll wait. But, he won't wait that long, so he hopes that someone would come over to where he was soon.
Soon to meet @Josphine Acosta

An Unprecedented Friendship

Josephine was on her way back to the common room, her mind occupied with what she had just read in the library. As she walked through an almost-empty corridor, she saw that a Hufflepuff boy was standing there along, leaning against the pillar, with an expectant look on his face. Is he waiting for someone? Josephine wondered.
Her first instinct is to just walk past the boy, but somehow he seemed sort of lonely. Although Josephine wasn’t much good at reading other people’s expression, she got a feeling that this boy is probably waiting for someone to talk to him. That isn’t really the best way to make a friend… Guess not all Hufflepuffs are great socializers. Josephine thought to herself. But anyway, since she wasn’t on the hurry to get anywhere, she decided to give it a try and talk to him. Even if she had indeed mistaken his intention, it won’t hurt to ask what he’s up to.
“Hi, what are you doing? There isn’t even anyone here.” Josephine asked as she walked near the Hufflepuff boy. Then she realized that she may have sounded a bit accusing, and secretly hoped that he wouldn’t notice. After all, she doesn’t want him to take her as unfriendly before they even get to know each other at all.

Mark speaking | Mark's thoughts
Mark looked up from the ground and saw a Ravenclaw girl in the corridor. He hoped that she would come over to him. When she did, he was happy. But than she asked him a question. Mark than said,
"I was bored so I decided to come here and see if anyone was here. But like you said, its empty. I actually don't know why I came here. I just let my feet lead me to some place until I stopped.
Mark pretty much explained why he was in the corridor alone. He than began thinking,
"Hmmmmm, I'm pretty sure she came from the library and was probably going back to her common room when she saw me."
He than decided to introduce himself, since it was the nice thing to do when meeting someone new. So he said,
"I'm Mark, Mark Myers. I think you already know that I'm a Hufflepuff. But im also a first year. What about you?"
Now Mark wondered how the Ravenclaw girl would respond to him. He only introduced himself, now he wants to know if she will do the same, or if she will just walk away and leave him alone. Mark hoped that didnt happen.

An Unprecedented Friendship

After Mark finished explaining why he was here, in an empty corridor doing nothing, Josephine felt somewhat surprised about his habit. Actually, Josephine understands the impulse of suddenly wanting to just wander around with no specific purpose at all. She sometimes loves to walk along the school corridors, freeing her mind from everything else. The only difference is that she usually isn’t doing that to make friends. “Interesting! Sometimes I like to do that as well.” She said, assuring Mark that he’s not the only one who does this.
A first year? To be honest, Josephine already assumed that he’s a first year from the second that she saw him. Usually, second years or above won’t be craving for someone to talk to so much, as most people would have already made quite a few friends at Hogwarts who they are quite close to.
“Nice to meet you, my name is Josephine Acosta! I’m also a first year, and a Ravenclaw, obviously.” She replied with a small smile. “How do you like Hogwarts?” She knows that this question sounds quite weird for a first year to ask another first year, but if Mark wasn’t wizard-born, he might actually have trouble fitting in at first.

An Unprecedented Friendship
Mark speaks | Mark's thoughts
Mark was glad he wasn't the only one who was wandering around Hogwarts trying to find something to do. But, he than thought,
"I don't think she does it to make friends. Actually, I only did this once to make friends." He than decided to say,
"Cool. I'm glad I'm not the only one."
Mark than realized that he probably shouldn't have told her that he was a first year, but he was glad when she said that she was also a first year. She than introduced herself as Josephine Acosta. He smiled than said,
"Nice to meet you, Josephine."
Josephine than asked Mark an amazing question, know he just needs to think about the answer to that amazing question.
"Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, ummmmmmmmmmmmm, why don't I say that it's better than how my brother said it was? Or maybe how I've made some new friends? Actually, I'll say both." Mark thought before saying,
"That's an amazing question. I like it here a lot. My brother told me about it, but its definitely better in person. Also, I've made a few friends, not that many. I actually thought I'll be sorted into Gryffindor, but I was chosen to be in Hufflepuff like my brother. But it doesn't matter. I like all the houses. How about you?"

An Unprecedented Friendship

Since Josephine grew up as an only child, she has never known how it felt to have a brother or sister. She always thought that they might be frustrating in a way, and might constantly bother her. But only now did she realize that being the only child also meant that she’s always going to have to do everything alone, with no close relatives who are about her age to guide her. Maybe if I have an older sibling, I’d be able to blend in better than now? She thought, remembering how she sometimes struggled with making new friends.
“Cool, so how does it feel to have a brother? I’m an only child, by the way.” Josephine asked, wondering whether there are any other benefits or drawbacks of having a sibling that she hasn’t thought of before.
Then Mark mentioned his opinion on the different houses. When she comes to think of it, she hasn’t really thought much about being sorted into another house, because she just matches the Ravenclaw traits SO much. However, she had once wondered whether she might be sorted into Slytherin though. Although now she has no idea why she ever came up with such a thought, she still shudders a bit when thinking about what her life would be like if she was in Slytherin. After all, they don’t really have much of a good reputation. “Um, sure, I guess all the houses are fine. But I’m still not so sure about Slytherin…

Mark speaks | Mark's thoughts
Mark has a feeling that Josephine is an only child. He knows everyone he'll meet here at Hogwarts won't always have siblings like him. So far he's only met three people with no siblings, including Josephine. Like how people are wondering what it's like to have siblings, Mark is wondering what it's like to be an only child.
"It's fun having an older brother. We have an excellent bond together. Sometimes I annoy him, but it's ok. He never got mad at me once. How's it like being an only child?" Mark says.
He knew that sometimes being an only child can be lonely, but then again, he also knows that the only child gets a lot more things than siblings do. Mark also has a feeling that a lot of people besides the Slytherins, he, and his brother, don't like Slytherin's house. Mark knows why tho. It's pretty much because a lot of dark wizards were sorted into Slytherin, including almost all of Voldemort's followers. But, Mark knows that all Slytherins aren't bad. But, he also knows that most or some people don't think that way.
"Ya, they are all great! Slytherin isn't bad, I like the colors for it. But I like Ravenclaw's main color, blue, which is my favorite color. I don't like yellow tho, and my common room is very bright as well." Mark says simply.

An Unprecedented Friendship

Mark’s words surprised Josephine a bit. She hasn’t thought that a elder brother would be patient enough to never get mad at their younger siblings. She’s quite sure that she could never do that. Maybe that’s why his brother is in Hufflepuff while I’m not.
“So having a sibling isn’t as irritating as I had previously thought. Well, being an only child has its advantages. For example, my parents would give me all their attention, and I won’t need to share everything with someone else about my age. But its drawbacks are obvious as well. I never had anyone except my parents to guide me through everything… I believe having a brother helps you fit in quicker at Hogwarts?” She asked Mark, wondering how her life would be like she she had an elder sister to keep her company.
Blue has always been her favorite color, and she doesn’t really like yellow much either. Guess that’s something they have in common. “I extremely like blue as well. It helps me to relax and calm down after a long day. Then she changed the subject in order to know more about the Hufflepuff house, “So is everyone in Hufflepuff kind and friendly? It’s often said to be so, but I personally think it’s hard for everyone in your house to match this criteria so well.”

Talking with @Josephine Acosta
The young black-haired boy decided to change his hair to blonde, but a very light blonde, since he wasn't exactly like his original hair color a lot at the moment. Being a metamorph is definitely fun for Mark since he is able to change his hair color/style, and even his eye color whenever he wants to. But, he also knows that he can't do a lot of things yet, but he doesn't mind at all. He looks back at Josephine when he heard her speak. Mark thought for a bit before saying,
"That seems cool! Just so you know, not everyone has the same type of bond I have with my brother. Sometimes siblings hate each other but will do anything to keep the other one safe. Well, it does, but for me, it helped me during my first week here, since I was getting lost. So, it's great if one's siblings are here at Hogwarts and if their older too!"
Mark knew that he had said a lot. He now wondered how Josephine will respond to both his hair color changing and what he said. When Josephine says that she also likes blue, he realized that he and Josephine both like the same color. He waited for her to stop speaking before saying,
"That seems very cool! Well, some of my housemates are introverts, but everyone is kind. Most of us are helpful. But it also depends on the person's personality as well. Not everyone in Hufflepuff is the same or has the same personality. I think the same is for Ravenclaw, right? Actually, it should be the same for all the houses, not just only Hufflepuff."

Mark speaks | Mark's thoughts
After a while of waiting for Josephine to reply, Mark looked at his watch and decided to leave.
He decided to take a walk around the halls to see if he can find any secret passageways or rooms that he never heard of before.
Mark walked all the way to the fifth floor and began walking along the corridors looking for a secret room or a passageway.
Once he got to the Room of Requirement spot, he looked around and sat on the floor since he was pretty tired from walking and from standing too much.
When he was about to get up and leave, he noticed that the door appeared, he looked confused, so he got up and looked around him.
"Weird. I don't even need the Room of Requirement. Maybe it thought I did. I'll just open the door and see." Mark thought.
He than opened the door and looked around. Before he was about to go in, he felt a tap of his shoulder which made him jump. He than turned around and saw his brother James. Mark sighed before saying,
"Geez, James, don't scare me like that!"
"Oops, sorry. What are you doing?" James says
"Going into the ror, wanna come?" Mark says
"Sure." James says
Mark held the door open and allowed his brother to go in first, he than looked around the empty corridor before going inside the ror.
