It was Summer in London when Key and his parents was on their way to Diagon Alley to get his first Hogwarts school supplies at the early morning. "Dad, I'm tired," he groaned, "Can't we stop for a while and have some ice cream?" He was indeed tired, for he have to stay up all night, sat on the uncomfortable train's chair for 5 hours, and now he have to walk for almost an hour just to go to Diagon Alley.

"You're pathetic," his mother scolded, "You wouldn't survive Mahoutokoro nor Hogwarts with those attitude." His father's eyes became wide open when she mentioned 'Mahoutokoro' and 'Hogwarts', since it's forbidden for the Vickers family to mention any wizardry related stuffs in muggles' public area. "Pipe down, dear." he hushed his wife, "We're not allowed to mentioned those words in here, remember?" Key's mother apologized to his father and sighed, "Alright, since this is your first time here, we're giving you a 20 minutes break while your father and I look around the mug- shops here." Key exclaimed in happiness, well not quite happy, but he's finally getting the break he deserved.

He rushed and plopped himself down on the nearest seat around him, trying to regain his energy as he about to lay down on the bench when he realized, there's a boy, probably around his age, sitting next to him, admiring his surrounding. Aw c'mon! I can't sleep on the bench?! Key mumbled in his head and then looked at the boy, He look cool, though. He is an average boy with black hair that is styled into a swept hairstyle, and unlike the other muggles, he was wearing a dark blue robe with waistcoat underneath, like a typical rich boy from the 1800s.

Key never seen a boy this elegant. He wanted to introduced himself to the English boy, since he never met one like him in his life, so he took his opportunity to introduced him before his mother called him to continue their walk. "Nice outfit you have there," he told the boy, "You looked like from the Victorian Era wearing that, I mean it as a compliment, by the way." Key smiled at the boy, letting his impulsivity win.

Mark speaking | Mark's thoughts

Mark noticed that a boy had sat down beside him. He noticed that he was very tired, so he decided to not say anything about it, since he wasn't exactly tired, but was wondering why the boy was up so early in the morning. He than heard him speak. Mark smiled before saying,
"Thanks. The Victorian Era? Really? Well, you might be right, but I always wear this. Unless, I decide to wear casual. Let me guess, you aren't exactly from around here? Right? I mean, I could be wrong. I'm not great at guessing where people are from."

Mark hoped that with his words he didn't offend the boy. The young wizard didn't exactly know how to respond to the boys compliment, but he decided to introduce himself to the boy and maybe learn his name as well, so he said,
"Anyways, I'm Mark, Mark Myers. And you are?"

Now Mark was curious about this boy, but not in a bad way. But, in a good way, if that is even possible, which Mark thinks is possible. But, Mark decided to not say anymore, until he knew the boys name. Odd right? Well, Mark is pretty odd sometimes, but not all the time.

The boy smiled back at Key and then replied. "Thanks. The Victorian Era? Really?" he said, "Well, you might be right, but I always wear this. Unless, I decide to wear casual." He then look at Key up and down, trying to figure out something. "Let me guess, you aren't exactly from around here? Right? I mean, I could be wrong. I'm not great at guessing where people are from." Key was about to answer his question before the boy shrugged it off and decided to introduce himself. "Anyways, I'm Mark, Mark Myers," He told Key "And you are?"

"Naoki Vickers, but call me Key for short." Key responded, "Pleasure to meet you, Mark." Key checked his old-fashioned watch that he wears on the inside of his wrist to see how much time he have left to hang out with Mark. When Key looked at it, the watch had a long hand pointing between two roman numbers, mostly towards to three rather than six, while the shorter one pointing close to six— 6:24. He had some time to spend time with the boy. "I only have 14 more minutes to talk with you here before my mum and dad come back to get me and head to Dia-" He quickly covered his mouth with his eyes wide open after he realized he just mentioned Diagon Alley to a person who's possibly a muggle. That was close, Key sighed in relief.

Mark speaking | Mark's thoughts

"Nice to meet you to, Key." Mark says.

He was happy to have met Key, and he knows that he'll most likely be seeing him around Hogwarts, that is if he is going. He than heard Key speak again, but this time didn't say his full sentience. But, Mark knew what he was going to say, so the young wizard said,
"Only 14 minutes before you go to Diagon Alley? Mind if I come with you? I mean, its OK if not. I think I need to buy something that I forgot to buy when I was there a week ago. Say, are you going to Hogwarts to?"

Mark now has a feeling that Key is going to Hogwarts since he did mention going to Diagon Alley. But, the young wizard wondered why Key didnt say Diagon Alley, instead of just cutting it off.

"Wait, a minute. I think he thought that I am a Muggle. I don't think Muggles wear Victorian era clothes anymore. So I wonder why he had thought that." Mark thought.

Mark now wondered if he'll have enough time to get to know Key before the two part ways. He hopes that he does have a lot of time, but doesn't know yet.

Key shushed Mark before he continue further. When the boy stayed quiet, he asked quietly so no one can hear them talking about it. "You're a.. wizard?" He loud whispered, "That explains a lot, actually." Key was flabbergasted after finding out that Mark is a wizard, he felt dumb for thinking that he's just a muggle who's inspired to wear vintage-looking clothing from social media. Key rubbed the back of his neck out of embarrassment. "I'm sorry." He sighed, looking down. "My Mum and Dad taught me to be cautious on telling wizardry stuffs to muggles." He looked at Mark again. "Yes, it's going to be my first year in Hogwarts. I'm not quite sure if you can tag along.." Key continued, responded to Mark's question before. He shrugged and then smiled to cheer Mark up, "But there's a chance we could meet up in there again later on, maybe on Hogwarts Express, who knows!"

Key really can't bring him along, because his parents wouldn't allow him to bring 'stranger' with him, no matter what. And even if he begged to bring his new friend along, there's a high chance that his mother, would consider Mark untrustworthy and refuse. "Where are your parents?" Key asked Mark, looking around his surrounding to find Mark's family. "Shouldn't you go with them to 'DA' instead?" He abbreviated the word Diagon Alley to avoid muggle's suspicion. He sat back down as he looked at Mark with curiosity.

The half-blood boy looked at a group of tall teenage boys hanging out and joking with each others. Looks like they're having fun hanging out together, Key thought to himself. The idea of having a big group of friends in Hogwarts enlighten him a bit. As he watched them, Key scooted a little closer to Mark. "Do you think we could make a lot of friends to form a group in Hogwarts?" He asked quietly, "Making friends with witches and wizards might be different than making friends with non-magic people.." It's true, the thought of making new friends from a different world worried him a bit, but also at the same time, he's also happy that he get to make new friends and finally see the new world his father told him about as a kid. He then looked up to the sky, seeing those beautiful blue clouds with slightly orange colour–due to the sun, moved slowly at their own pace. The two boys went silent for a moment as Key enjoyed the view peacefully.

"You're really friendly and very open to making new friends," Key exclaimed, breaking the silence, "But I'm not quite sure if that's the case for every other magic people I'll encounter. They might make fun of me.. I know enough wizardry knowledge to prepare myself before attending to the best wizardry school in The UK, but I still don't know much about it as much as other wizards and witches." As he finished his sentences, he looked back at Mark and smiled, "If we meet up again, I hope we have enough time so you can teach me more about it. After all, you're my first wizard friend I've met." He then chuckled a bit as he wipe his non-existent tears out from chuckling, "Gosh darn, I look dramatic. Pardon me for that."

Before Key's about to talk, he spotted his mother not far away from the bench, reminding him that his break is already over. "Key Saint Vickers, come back here!" His mother called, "I hope your energy is full because we're going." Key didn't felt like the conservation he had with his new friend was 20 minutes long. Time stopped for a while when he had an engaging conversation with Mark, which is possible since it's his first wizardry friend after all, and it was kind of a unique experience for the boy who's going to enter the Wizarding World for the first time, but it didn't matters at all, because he felt refreshed after talking Mark. Key sighed, "Sorry, Mark, I have to go." He pulled out his hand to make a handshake gesture as his goodbye, "I enjoy spending time with you."

After that, he stood up and walked ahead toward his parents, whom he saw struggling holding bunch of shopping bags. "Help your mum and I holding these bags 'till we arrived to the 'place', Key," His dad said to him with a heavy Scottish accent as he gave two shopping bags to hold, "It's not heavy, but this will do 'till we're in the steamboat." Key knows that the word 'steamboat' isn't an actual steamboat, but rather a code for the place he and his family were heading to—The Leaky Cauldron. It's a secret bar for witches and wizards (hence the code name 'steamboat') and it's one of the only way to access to Diagon Alley, the place where he'll get his supplies at. "Aye, sir." Key replied as he hold the shopping bags, "Off we go, to the steamboat."
