Letters to my Parents

Alexis has just finished writing a letter to her parents. Once she was done she decided to go to the owlery to send the letter to her parents.
Alexis read the letter over before heading to the owlery. When she finished editing her letter she went to the owlery to mail the letter. The letter said,
Dear mother and father,
I got sorted into Gryffindor. I'm happy with my house. I'm doing great here. I hope you are doing great. I'm pretty sure David already sent you an owl about me being sorted into Gryffindor. I'm hoping to make some friends here not only in my house but also in other houses. My classes are going great so far. I have no idea what im doing in Herbology though. Hopefully someone can help me with Herbology. I dont feel like asking David since I know he's busy.

Alexis than looked for her family owl. When she found it, she tied the letter to the owls leg and said,
"Take this to my parents in London. Come back with their reply. Have a safe flight!"
She than saw her family owl leave the owlery. She waited until the owl was gone from her sight before walking back to the Gryffindor common room to do her homework.
"If you trust someone so much, they must be one of your best friends, right?"

Alexis decided to go back to the owlery to send another owl to her parents. Her parents had written back to her the night before, and she just finished writing her second owl to her parents. The owl her parents wrote to her says,
Dear Alexis,
Yes, your brother David already told us you got sorted into Gryffindor. We are happy with your house and that you're happy with her house. We are doing great here as well. We just miss both you and your brother. We hope you have fun at Hogwarts. You will make a lot of friends during your years at Hogwarts. It's ok if you don't know what you are doing in Herbology. As you move further, you would be able to understand.

Alexis's letter was somewhat longer than her last one but not really longer than her parent's owl. Her owl says,
Dear Mother and Father,
I had a feeling he already told you guys. I'm glad you're happy with my house. I was worried that you wouldn't be happy. I'm glad you are doing great in London. How are your jobs? Awwwwwww, I miss you too. I think David also misses you as well. I am having a lot of fun at Hogwarts right now. Really? I hope you are right. So far I haven't really made friends. But, I did make a new friend on the train! Really? I hope you are right. But, I'm still going to see if anyone can help me understand what I'm doing in Herbology.

When she got to the owlery she saw her older brother looking for her family owl. She then noticed that their family owl was closer to her. She walked over to her family owl and decided to tell David so she said,
"Hi, David! Our family owl is right here. Why don't you use your own owl?"
She decided to tie her letter to her family owl's leg. She then looked at her brother and noticed that he looked at her. Alexis saw her brother walking over to her, she then heard him say,
"Hi, Lex. I didn't notice you were here. My owl is hunting right now. I think he'll be gone for a few more days. So, I'll be using our family owl."
"Oh, I see. Can you give me your letter please?" Alexis says holding her hand out
"Here." David says handing her the letter
"Thanks." Alexis says
"Your welcome." David says
Alexis then tied her brother's letter to their family owl's other leg. She then saw the owl fly away. She and her brother both decided to walk back to the castle. Alexis and her brother parted ways, David going to Ravenclaw Tower, and Alexis going to the Gryffindor common room.
