Same Title, Same Volume
Alexis was in her dorm finishing a book she'll be returning at the library once she was finished it.
When she was all done the book, the young Gryffindor grabbed her other books she'll be returning to the library and left her dorm.
Alexis walked to the library. Once she arrived to the library, she returned her books. She than decided to take out some more books, but she didnt know which books to get out.
Alexis went in and out of all the isles looking for a book she'll like to read. Alexis picked up three books already. She now just needed to pick up her last book.
Alexis decided to go into the Herbology section and see if any book will seeming interesting to her.
So far she didnt see any book she'll like to read. But she decided to look further cause maybe there might be a book she'll like.
Alexis suddenly stopped at a section and saw two books that she had read recently. She wandered if volume 3 of that same book was there and it was.
"Great! Volume three of The Lost Book of Herbal Remedies is here! I should get it." Alexis said to herself
She than reached to grab it, but she didnt see the boy was also going to grab the same book. Alexis felt a hand slightly burshed her hand which was grabbing the book. She looked beside her and saw a boy who was also trying to grab the book.
Alexis being kind, let go of the book and she faced the boy who was maybe a year or two older than her. She than said,
"Oops, sorry. I didnt know you were going to grab the book too. You can have it if you want."
She didnt know if she should introduce herself or not, but she decided to since it was a nice and kind thing to do.
"Oh, my name is Alexis. Alexis Rose."

Offering the book and introductions to @Alexis Rose
He was aware enough that there was someone next to him in these groupings of shelves but not so much that he realized they were going after the same book until their hands brushed passed one another. The girl was quick to not only apologize but allow him the book if he wanted it. He did want it. Still, it wasn't as if he needed it right now.
"No, my apologies. I'm apparently being super grabby over here," he said and he glanced around, realizing that probably wasn't the best way to recap the situation at hand. "I've been waiting for someone to bring back Volume 3 for what feels like forever but there's other books I can get," he said as he slipped the book from the shelf and held it out to her. "I can always check it out after you. Ladies first, and all."
Simon flashed her a smile. "Pleasure to meet you, Alexis Rose," he told her and he wondered for a moment if she was in any relation to Third Year Gryffindor Haley Rose, his ex-girlfriend. She hadn't mentioned any family coming to Hogwarts, but then again, it wasn't as if they really conversed anymore - unfortunately.
"I'm Simon, Simon Kincaid. You interested in magical healing plants or doing some Herbology homework? I could offer you some suggestions for some of the most used resources, at least from my knowledge so far."

Same Title, Same Volume
Alexis heard the boy apologize after she did. She smiled at him. She then saw him handing her the book. She hesitated for a bit but then took it after he spoke again. She knew she didn't have to read it, but she also knew she would be done with it in less than a month.
"Thanks. I'll return it less than a month from now! You won't need to wait forever for this book. I realized I read Herbology books faster than I read other books." Alexis says
She then put the book with the rest of her books and put her stack of books on a nearby table. When she was all done sorting them out and placing them on the table, she went back over to the boy. She then heard him introduce herself. Alexis waited a moment before saying,
"Nice to meet you, Simon. I'm not really doing Herbology homework and I'm also not really interested in magical healing plants. It's just that my older brother recommended volume one to me and I decided to read all the books. So far volume one and two are very interesting. I wonder what volume three will be like. Oh, really? I'd like that since I'm not really good at Herbology. Also, I'd like to know these resources which you know of."
Alexis then stopped herself from speaking since she said a lot. Alexis doesn't really talk a lot about Herbology, but she realized maybe Simon's resources could help her get better at Herbology. But, she'd only know when she finds out what the resources are.

Offering some help to @Alexis Rose
"Herbology is one of my favorites," he said and smiled. It wasn't that he was smiling because it was easy for him and not for the girl before him, but rather because perhaps he could help her. "Could I offer some assistance on the subject? It's become somewhat of a great interest to me and I guess I just sort of absorb the information. I could maybe share some tips for memorizing some of it."
If this had been Charms or Defense Against the Dark Arts, he wouldn't have been much help to the Gryffindor. For whatever reason, dhampirs were known to have rather poor spellcasting abilities and Simon held truth to that. "If you've got the time right now, we can convene over at that table right there," and he pointed to one in the center. "I'll just need a moment to gather up some of the books I think are most helpful on the subject."
He hoped that she would accept his offer to help. He loved helping others. It wasn't because he was a prefect - he liked to help long before that. Maybe it was one of the reasons he was chosen by the sorting hat to be placed into the Hufflepuff house. He liked to help others. Everyone had their struggles, and how much better would this world be if everyone just had a little patience and reached out with some assistance when they could?

Same Title, Same Volume
Alexis was glad Simon knows Herbolgy. She's also glad he could help her. Alexis was very glad she came to the library today.
"Really? Oh, yes, I'd love the help! I have no idea what I am doing at the moment in Herbology." Alexis said.
She than saw Simon pointing at a table in the center. She than started thinking if she was free at the moment. She than realized that she was.
"I'm free. I'll go wait at the table you were pointing at while you get some books." Alexis says.
Alexis took her stack of books and walked over to the table Simon pointed at. She put her books down onto the table and sat down.
While waiting for Simon, Alexis opened The Lost Book of Herbal Remedies. She than decided to read the book so she would be able to give it to Simon.
While reading Alexis realized she likes the third volume better than the other two. She knew she had to thank her brother for recommending the series to her.
Alexis had a feeling with Simons help, she would most likely be a lot better at Herbology and hopefully understand what she is doing.
When she went back to reading the book, she noticed she was almost halfway done the book. Alexis decided to read a little more before putting the book away.

Hitting the books with @Alexis Rose
He made careful selections, ensuring to grab only books that he found really beneficial when it came to the course of Herbology. Some of them that offered minimal guidance wouldn't be much help right now. They were doing a a crash course in wizarding plants and that meant he needed something that would hit hard and hit fast with knowledge; something to not make her feel like she was drowning.
At first it was only a couple books, then a few, and soon he had an entire stack - oy, hopefully he wouldn't overwhelm the poor girl! Deciding this was enough, Simon headed back to the wooden table near the center of the school Library. It was a stack that should probably have been too heavy for him to carry - even if he was a third year. It was a stack that normally a regular person shouldn't have been able to carry on their own. Sometimes Simon forgot how effortless his strength could be and it was times like this that someone might think something rather abnormal of him.
He was normal, in essence; he was just a dhampir.
"Alright, my new lioness friend....prepare to ready your mind for all things amazing in the world of Herbology." And he began to set down the books, just a few to a stack now so it didn't seem so overwhelming.
"Speaking of lioness.... inquiring minds want to know. How's it feel to be a Gryffindor? My mum was one."

Same Title, Same Volume
Once Alexis reached her halfway point of the book, she closed it and put it back on top of the third book. She than looked over at the shelves and saw Simon with a large stack of books.
She wondered if he'll be able to carry all of those books, but when she saw him carrying the stack she wondered how he did it. But, she decided not to ask, since she didn't want to be rude.
When she saw the stack of books on the table, Alexis decided to count how many books Simon had brought over. But, she stopped her counting when she heard Simon speak.
"Yay! I can't wait! Wait, how many books did you bring?? I tried counting them, but I didnt finish." Alexis says
She than paused. She than began thinking of an answer to say to Simon's new question. After a few minutes of thinking, Alexis spoke again saying,
"Its fun being a Gryffindor. The common room is very red though. That's one thing I don't like about it. My brother is a Ravenclaw and my parents were also Ravenclaw, but its OK. Their happy with my house. What's it like being a Hufflepuff?"
She now wondered what Simon's answer would be. She doesn't really have any family members being Hufflepuff, so she wants to know what its like.

Talking away to @Alexis Rose
"I'm not really sure how many I brought. There were a couple others that I debated on but I really think these ones are the most essential," he said as he looked over the book titles, seeing the names of ones he used quite often when it came to researching for class. One in particular stood out to him and he slid it from the stack and moved it across the table over to her.
"You're going to thank me later," he said to her with a wink but then smiled. Okay, maybe it wasn't like he was helping THAT much, but this book right here would save her a time or two when she got stuck. It had a good amount of information in it and it wasn't too wordy, therefore making it an easy read.
"You've got a brother that goes here? That's awesome." Having a sibling at all sounded like it could be pretty neat. "That's cool that they're chill about you being in a different house. Crazy how that works sometimes, isn't it? You'd think it would just carry over and yet it doesn't always. My mum was Gryffindor and it definitely suited her well, she was very brave. Lost her parents young, had to take guardianship of her younger sister, had me young, was a single parent, and then got really sick. Lots of hardship through that, but she remained optimistic and still tried to put others before herself. Pretty Hufflepuff-like as well as brave."
Simon admired his mother greatly, even if he didn't have actual memories of her. He knew how much she loved him and he tried, regardless if she was physically there or not, to make her proud.
"Being a Hufflepuff is the best. My sincerest apologies, but it's only true. We've got the hardworking and dilligence of Ravenclaw, the tenacity and dedication of Slytherin, the steadfast and fearlessness of Gryffindor - but we're all just out to help one another on this Earth that God has granted us with. It's a lot to take on."
Simon smiled to her before looking at the books again and pulled out another, flipping through to a specific chapter and then bent the edge of the page down to bookmark it. "This one has a lot of useful charts."
"So how's your first year been going? It can sometimes be a little rough - being away from home and all."

"Hmmmmmmmmmmmm, I didn't know there were a lot of Herbology books. But, then again, there is a section for Herbogoly so there must be a lot." Alexis says
She then decided to count the books again. This time she was successful. But, she decided to not tell him since she didn't know if she was right or not. She then saw Simon move a book over to her. She picked it up and opened the book. Before she began reading it, Siom spoke. She decided to read the back of the book before saying,
"Really? This seems like a pretty big book. I'll read it, obviously. But, it might take some time before I'm done it."
Alexis then went back to the front of the book and began reading it. Alexis wasn't really understanding anything at first, but when she went deeper into the book, she started to understand some of it. She stopped reading when she heard Simon speaking again. Alexis closed the book and then said,
"Really? Interesting. My brother was sad when I got sorted into Gryffindor. I think he wanted me and him to be in the same house. But, I'm a Gryffindor. Hmmmmmmmmm, I could see your mother in Hufflepuff. But, the sorting hat decided to put her in Gryffindor, like how he put me into Gryffindor and not Ravenclaw. People don't always get to be sorted in the house they want to be in."
Alexis paused since she once again said a lot. She wondered why she was speaking a lot more than she normally speaks. She then heard Simon talking about what it's like being a Hufflepuff. She smiled at him before saying,
"It's ok. You don't have to apologize. Anyone would say their house is the best."
She then decided to go back to reading. But, she stopped reading when Simon spoke again. Alexis knew exactly how to answer this so she said,
"I don't exactly miss home, but I do miss my parents. My first year has been going great so far. Well, except for me not understanding anything in Herbology, but that might change with this book."

Asking about hobbies and interests with @Alexis Rose
"I never really was one to learn much about plants before Hogwarts," he said honestly. "I'm from London - born and raised. We have one tree in our back garden and that's pretty much it unless I venture to the nearest park. Then, there's three trees," he said playfully and smiled. There were usually more trees than that, but honestly, sometimes what passed for a park was really just a small bit of green space.
"That and I don't venture outside too often," he said and brought his arm out toward her to show off his paleness. It was quite pale, but not really because he didn't go outside. It was mostly because he was a dhampir. I guess in essence, one caused the other.
"But I've been really getting interested in medicine lately and well, magical medicine since I'm a wizard. The healing powers of some potions and plants is beyond amazing. It really makes you wonder what else could be out there. To think we can solve so many problems for so many individuals and their loved ones - it's cool, man. It's cool."
That was one of his hobbies/interests - learning as much as he could about the magical world like with medicine. He wondered what hers were. Maybe a distraction from Herbology was what she needed right now, just to kind of relieve her stress. "What do you do around Hogwarts when you're not in class or doing classwork, or hanging around the Library?"
