Books and Bones
On a white hospital bed, a red headed ginger with hair practically the color of bright flames laid unconscious in one of the infirmaries many white beds. His head was wrapped in pure white bandages, while his right arm was wrapped up in a splint and placed into a sling. His left foot was elevated and also wrapped up but not as severely as his right arm.
What had happened to the unconscious boy for him to be so terribly injured. It appeared as though he had taken a very bad tumble down something...stairs perhaps? Well the answer was surprisingly simple. It all started with books and a girl...imagine that Quinn running into yet another girl, though this time it was almost in the literal sense.
The neigh still red head began to stir albeit very slowly to consciousness he broke only a few bones this time and luckily none of them his ribs although those were bruised. That fact was made very apparent when a loud groan escaped his quivering lips. His eye lids slowly opened revealing beautiful greenish-blue gems that were his eyes."Gobshite...my head. What happened?" The normally very cheer and strange red head was quite groggy, and surprisingly irritable. He couldn't remember much of what happened.

Books and Bones

A hue of golden blonde and pale skin sat in a chair in the hospital wing, twiddling her thumbs. A sprained wrist and a bruised ankle; though she had to admit, she could have escaped with much worse. Ever the heroic snake, she had attempted to stop a fall, though she couldn't comprehend why. It wasn't as if she knew this boy, or that she would have otherwise suffered from his clumsiness. No, she was just helpful like that. But in any case, neither of them were safe from hard floors and winding stairs, so her attempt was, obviously, to no avail.
Staggered sighs would escape her lips, almost a plea to forget her foolishness. She would be missing a rehearsal or two due to this wrist, but she could manage that much. It was the other person, the ginger boy, that she was concerned for. Had she not intervened, she told herself, he probably would not have endured as much damage as had acquired. But alas, there was no use on dwelling on things that she could not change.
In the time spent here, she learned that his name was Quinn Healy, a Hufflepuff prefect around her age. That was all she knew about the boy, however, as he wasn't yet awake. But when he did finally start to stir, her body tensed, and she prepared herself for whatever may come.
"Gobshite... my head. What happened?" He had asked, his voice hinting at irritability. The French girl winced, frowning slightly. In truth, there was no reason for her to be there, but she felt bad. However, at this moment in time, she almost wished that she had just retreated back to her dorm, never to speak of this again.
"Eh- oui, about that.." She began to answer him, her voice soft and sheepish. "You, uhm..." She started, looking for the English word for abattre. She had gained the bad habit of losing her English when she got nervous. "Eh- comment dit-on abattre en Anglais? Ah! Fell! You fell!" She had cheered up, proud of herself for remembering the word for it. She didn't struggle with English by any means, but it was just a bad habit to convert back to French whenever she was put under stressful situations. However, she was quite proud of herself at the moment, and briefly allowed the nerves to shake away.

chill babe. we're all bad in someone's story.

He stared at the strange girl, she would get in and out of a language he wasn't too familiar with. It sounded french from what he could briefly tell though, with bad headache he had at the moment. He could have been off, but at this point he didn't care. "Ah Fell? Really?" He looked to her, his brows beginning to furrow.
He began to recollect the events of the passed day. The red head remembered going to the library to borrow a stack of books for both pleasure reading and class. He remembered walking down the corridors back to the Hufflepuff common room, and maybe nearly bumping into someone. Then he-
"Oh for the love of Donuts!!" He blurted out, letting out an irritated, but defeated groan. "How can me be so stupid!" He blurted out again wanting to move more, which was a bad idea as he winced in pain and gasped falling back. "R-Right...bad idea...very bad idea." He huffed and whimpered turning his attention back to the Slytherin girl that brought him there presumably.
A small file came across his freckled and baby faced cheeks, "Take it ye be the one that took me here?" His accent was thick like molasses. One could practically and literally feel the thickness of it as he spoke. A bit of his Dublin coming through on his Irish accent. "What's ya name?" He suddenly asked with the smile widening, his greenish blue eyes carrying that same unpredictable and vibrant shimmer they always carried.
