Professor's Office
A foreboding heavy wooden door stood before the visiting student. A deep brown hue in color, the student would notice a hanging plaque on the center of said door. “Aoi Risa, Professor of Defence Against the Dark Arts”, emblazoned into the brass. The door would resist opening, it’s weight begrudgingly ceding to the force of the student pushing. A soft groaning would emit until the door came to a halt.
The office inside was dark, the shadows only briefly yielding to the light emitting from the lanterns on the desks and torches on the walls. There were three desks total in the room. The primary one stood in the center, made from oak and dyed black with squid ink. A maroon mat covered the center and the student could see an ink well sitting on the corner of it, along with a stand with a quill resting in it. A few other objects adorned the desk. A globe of the world, pin marked in a few different places. If the student knew anything about geography they might identify the pins in an island south of Japan, one in London, one on the Japanese mainland, and one in Taiwan. A few books were scattered about, as well as a significant pile a parchment. A picture frame sat, facing toward the back of the office.
Along the side were two large desks. They had shelves attached, where a myriad of books was
stored. They contained subjects concerning various magical beings, creatures, spells, histories, and more. An observant student might notice a few fiction novels written by muggles in the mix as well. Also of note were many glass and porcelain statues of horses and quite a few unoccupied cages. The cabinets below housed many different artifacts, some of which would be used for lessons. They were warded and locked, though it’s not obvious to any observer. On the floor, there was a large black rug. Each desk on the side had a chair before it, and another chair sat behind the desk. Directly behind it was a large clock, tracking the passage of time steadily. In the back corner was a scratching post and a small bed. Lounging lazily in said bed was a small tabby cat, bearing a collar that upon closer inspection read “Tsuna”.
And there, in the chair behind the desk, sat Professor Risa herself.
“Hello, dear pupil, how may I assist you?”

This is an office for IC interactions with Professor Risa. Please use it only for such. I will create a thread for OOC questions or comments. Thank you for your understanding. And do come say hi! I love interacting with you all.
Sometimes, making the wrong choice is better than making no choice. You have the courage to go forward, that is rare.

A soft smile pulled at the corner of his mouth as Alan made his way towards the office of the new Professor. He liked the subject and was curious who the new professor would be. He saw a lot of new professors sitting at the head table in the Great Hall and wondered who would be taking over this class. If it would be a male or female....
Honestly he did not care as long as it would be someone nice, as that was the most important for him. He could not deal with someone overly strict as this would turn him into a nervous mess and he would certainlyfail to launch any spell that existed on this big planet.
He softly knocked on the door right before he entered the room, surprised that the place already looked furnitured, but it was magic why was he even wondering about it. "G-good day, Professor-..." he stopped and froze. It was one of the females however he failed to remember the name of this one. That was just like him! He always failed to remember names!
"I hoped you had a save journey here, Miss" he mumbled with a shy smile, stepping into the office.

Elena looked up from the class curriculum she'd been working on, when a soft knock echoed through the room. No student had dared to visit her yet, and an involuntary smile spread on her lips at the prospect of interacting with a student – if it was a student, of course, and not a colleague who wanted to talk about lessons or the school rules.
"Come in," she called, pushing her notes about the seventh year curriculum aside. It could wait until later, she was almost done anyway.
A boy with blonde hair and green eyes entered, looking around the office once before his eyes settled on Elaine. His greeting was friendly, but after that he faltered, staring at her intently but not saying another word. She wanted to offer him a place to sit, but before she could open her mouth he found his words again, shyly asking if she'd arrived safely at Hogwarts.
"It was an uneventful journey at least," she answered, smiling. "Apparation isn't really exciting, I fear. Please have seat, Mister..."
She looked at him expectantly for a moment, before turning to the side to fetch the pot of tea from thr top of the cupboard to her right. A stastis charm kept it at a temperature that was perfect for drinking, Elaine just hoped that the boy liked Earl Grey. With a lazy wave of her wand she summoned two tea cups from a nearby shelf, placing them neatly beside the pot in the middle of her desk.
"Would you like a cup of tea? It's freshly brewed Early Grey... or at least the charm keeps it fresh, I made it a few hours ago."
Of course Elaine was curious what the boy wanted, but she'd learnt from experience that it was better to let students explain things in their own time. She had the afternoon to her disposal, there was no need to rush and all time to have a friendly chat.

The young boy stepped closer when he was noticed and took a place, grateful that he would not have to stand around the office awkwardly. He was in second year now but he still felt like a first year when the new professor looked at him. He did not know that woman and did not even know the name.
"Alan Vanes, Miss." He introduced himself to the new Professor who would soon teach them about the Dark Arts and how they could defend themselves.
He laughed silently, a soft tone that was barely audible but you could see it, the way he relaxed and got more comfortable. "I would love a cup of tea, if that wouldn't cause you any difficulties" he whispered, his eyes drifting towards the tea. "I don't really remember your name, it just have been so many names today and so many new professors. Could you maybe tell me your name again?" He asked, brushing a thumb over the notebook and quill in his hand. He planned to ask just a few little questions as his Newspaper Team liked to interview new professors. He also would enjoy a little talk with a professor of one of his favorite classes. It wasn't his most favorite one but it still was far above a subject like Astronomy or History of Magic.

Elaine took her seat calmly, pouring first young Mr. Vanes and then herself a cup of softly steaming tea. The smell of Earl Grey started to fill the Office, a fresh, vibrant smell. It reminded her of many a day in her private chambers in Durmstrang.
From the corner of her eyes she saw the student realx in his seat, his tense posture loosening a bit at her warm welcome. She was a new teacher after all, the unknown, and since they didn't know her yet the students tended to be a bit stressed in her presence, unsure what to expect from their new Professor.
"My name is Elaine Pendrast," she answered, passing a cup on to Mr. Vanes. "Nice to meet you, Mister Vanes. Milk or sugar?" With another wave of her wand and a mumbled, "Accio!" she called forth a small pot of milk and a sugar basin from a shelf below of where the tea pot had stood. Elaine loved her tea with with a drop of milk, something she hadn't indulged in often in Romania or even Durmstrang.
With quick efficiency she added milk to her tea, stirred twice and then put the spoon on the saucer of her cup.
"What brings you here, Mister Vanes? Is there anything I can help you with?" She was admittedly curious what had brought this first student into her office.

Amadea had met almost all of the new professors by now. To be honest, they were all getting scrambled up in her mind, and she couldn't always keep track of which ones taught which subjects. However, there was one professor that Amadea hadn't met yet and didn't think she could ever mix up with another professor.
For some reason, all of the professors of Defense Against the Dark Arts scared Amadea. Maybe it was because of the subject they taught. Maybe it was because they all seemed so elusive. Amadea wasn't sure why she was so terrified, but the previous professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts, Leonie Scheinberg was a mystifying enigma that terrified Amadea. She was hoping that the new professor would be less terrifying, or at least that Amadea could get to know the new professor a bit more so she wouldn't be afraid.
Amadea exited her common room and walked toward the Defense Against the Dark Arts classroom, peeking her head in to see who was in the professor's office. It appeared as though she wasn't the only person meeting with the professors. Another student was already seated in the office, sitting in a chair, sipping tea.
"Hello Professor," Amadea said hesitantly as she stepped into the room. She smiled at the other student as well. "Hi, I'm Amadea Campbell. It's nice to meet you both." Amadea cleared her throat, unsure of what to say or do next. Should she sit down? Should she stay standing? Should she ask the question that she came here to ask? Amadea decided to simply do nothing and wait for someone to say something.

Alan thought about the choice. Milk or sugar... he bit his lower lip slightly "Is lemon juice an option too, Miss Pendrast?" He asked softly, his voice nearly inaudible as he was hoping that it didn't sound rude. "If not sugar would be okay too" he quickly added just to make sure that this was not meant to be bad. Well, you could say Alan was messing up a bit, or something like that. He could feel himself getting nervous and sligjtly raised his hand to blew soft puffs of air onto his thumb as he fealt his heart rate decrease and calm down until he himself was feeling better.
In just that moment the door opened again and a femal student entered the room, making Alan turn his head towards her. He did nit have the best attention span which was why he forgot about Elaine Pemdrast, his new professor, for a second. "Hey" he greeted back, offering the girl in the doorway a cheerful smile waving his hand slightly, in a swift motion before droppinh his hand into his lap. Then he seemed to remember wjere he was as he turned around and gave Elaine a sheepish smile.

Koko had been interested in the Dark Arts all of her life. Never plotting to murder someone, of course, but maybe how to defend against another Dark Lord. Koko shook off a reminder of something her little brother had once said: "Maybe you'll be the next Dark Lord". Koko doubted it, yet she had also feared this class for a long time.
I can do this, she told herself. I can find out who the teacher is. I can actually TALK to someone for once! Koko was normally very shy, and she didn't have many friends yet. She hoped she could at least make a good impression on her teachers.
Koko drew her wand, in case the teacher had a creature out, prowling. Koko laughed off the possibility, but still gripped it so tightly that her knuckles turned white. Koko tiptoed forwards through the corridor, being silent as she could. She finally braved herself, and turned the corner... to see many, many doors.
She strode confidently forward, as if she knew her way around, and finally found the correct door to turn into. She opened it, smelling the heartwarming aroma of Earl Grey tea, her favorite type. Then she saw the teacher. "Miss?" she asked. "Are you teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts?"

Jaker looked around the office without noticing the professor. He just pilled his books and went to his seat and suddenly he saw the professor and greeted her and also his fellow classmates and schoolmates. He was very interested in Defense against the Dark Arts since he was 10 years old. Under his desk, he was practicing spells for the Charms lesson. When he finished practicing the spells he brought up a parchment and wrote with his quill the ingredients for the Cure for Boils Potion. He brought up his book about werewolves and silently reads it and wrote it on another parchment. He fixed his robes and tie making his clothes neat and getting ready for the lesson. He thought about the Patronus charm but he knew that he'll be in trouble, while waiting for the professor he was thinking of his happiest memories to do the Patronus charm after his 7th year at Hogwarts to never get in trouble . He was exited for his first lesson but it was a mystery to him, something that his family or magical friends never told him before his first year here at Hogwarts. He stares at the book all about werewolves and said "Very strange....very odd...." and asked the professor " Hello professor it's nice to see you!" he said happily.

Emika bit her lip. She wasn’t quite sure why she had decided to come to see the DADA professor, maybe it was partly because Professor Aoi Risa also had Japanese heritage, and also because she was such an interesting teacher. Also, her mother had asked her to give the teachers some sweets she had sent by owl. Emika nervously knocked on the door. “Erm, uh, Professor Risa?” Her tiny accent came out in her nervousness, and when allowed to enter, came in and set a small box of Japanese sweets on the professor’s desk, looking around at the marvelous office. “A gift from my mum to you, sensei- uh, professor. And me I guess. I’m Emika Brown.” She blushes at accidentally using the Japanese word for teacher for her professor. “I’m sorry, Professor Risa. I kind of forgot myself there.” She smiled at her teacher. “Mum thought it was wonderful when I told her about you. It’s nice to have a professor with similar heritage to me.” She talked to the professor for a while, smiling. She checked the time and sighed. “I should go. I just came to meet you more personally, I won’t take up any more of your time, Professor Risa.” She bowed slightly and got the heck out of dodge, hoping she had been polite enough.
It doesn't really matter who you used to be, what matters is who you've become.
