Damion was super excited about this event. Not only was he going to be away from school but also be in a party with Kim. Ooh that was really exiting. He was sure that Kim would be late as Kim had mentioned that to him and Bailey. Sigh! He was going to still go and wait for Kim to show. He walked inside the manor and smiled. He was was really happy to see many people that he knew.
Well he had some connections now. He was no longer the loner that stayed away from people. He had spotted @Isadora Everridge a girl who he had helped before the Fall Ball back in October. Well he walked to her first and smiled. "You look pretty in that dress of yours Isadora." He said smiling to her.
Next he spotted @Cynthia Beaufort and made his way to her. "The place looks amazing Cynthia and you look great" He said looking at her.
He had spotted @Oliver Brown. He waved to Oliver and made his way to him. "Hello Oliver" He said smiling. "You look nice" He added before leaving Oliver and moving ahead.
He had spotted @Pandora Smith, his mischievous buddy. "Well well hello Pandora." He said raising an eyebrow and looking at her. She looked really pretty. "You look so pretty in that dress." He said smiling before moving away as he found yet another person he knew.
He had spotted @Rita Su and waved his hand to get her attention. He made his way to her. "Hello Rita" He said looking at her. "You look nice Rita" He said turning his attention away from Rita after he complemented her.
He finally made his way to @Bailey Glade. He was glad to see her. But he was hoping to see Kim Aoki too. He heard what Bailey was saying. Damn Kim was going to be late for this party. "Hello Bailey!" Damion said smiling. "So Kim will be a little late I guess." He added. "You look really pretty" He said complimenting her.

Rita must not have heard her, not paying any attention when Dora says her name in surprise. The thought crosses her mind, though, that perhaps Rita did hear and is ignoring her. Dora's immediately starts going over everything she may have done wrong. My mind lands on an awkward interaction just before break, where Dora had asked something about muggleborns and caused some confusion. Rita said she wasn't mad, but maybe...
"Who is that?" Dora lightly gasps, having forgotten her grandmother and cousin were there for a moment. Her grandmother gazes down at her with an arched eyebrow. "Oh, um, just a schoolmate, Grandmother." She answers quietly. She sees her grandmother's eyes trail over to Rita, looking her up and down with an unimpressed frown. Though, she doesn't have time to say anything as the host arrives.
"Hello my friends! Mrs. Everridge, you look lovely. My father is coming soon, he would like to get acquainted with you."
"Thank you." Grandmother replies in distinguished fashion. "My son Harrison will be along shortly as well." Soon, she's gone up to the tearoom with Mr. Beaufort, leaving Dora and Bradley with the group of guests. Dora looks at Cynthia, finding her familiar. Oh yes, they bumped into each other that one time! Cynthia seems to recognize her too. "And hello, Isadora, I believe we have briefly acquainted, no? I remember you from the Yule Ball, as well."
"Yes, we were." She replies quietly with a nod. Dora doesn't remember her from the Yule Ball, she must have blended in with the crowd. And all she remembers from their first meeting is the awkwardness of the encounter. "Nice to mee-, er, see you again." She mutters, gripping her skirt self-consciously.
"Aren't you going to introduce me?" Bradley asks loudly, nudging Dora. He puts on the gentlemanly act as he offers his hand to Cynthia. "Bradley Everridge. Thank you for having us. You look beautiful, like a real snow angel." Dora looks away, her eyes darting back to Rita nervously.
She listens as Cynthia goes through the itinerary, the host stopping to ask if they'll be staying for fireworks show.
"I-"
"Of course." Bradley talks over her, though no one probably notices with how quiet she can be. "Our grandmother may leave early, but our uncle can stay until ten."
The prospect of dancing with a friend is interesting, but Dora can't dance very well at all. She'll probably leave that to the others unless she's asked, which she won't be. Cynthia leads them to the dining room, where Dora sits at a table with Bradley. Not long after she takes a seat, she hears her name.
"You look pretty in that dress of yours Isadora." She turns, blushing as Damion White walks in. He's as dashing as ever, his smile beautiful. Dora blinks, then stutters out a gracious, "Th-Thank you. You too. I mean-" Her blush deepens as she realizes she just implied he looks pretty. "You look nice too!" Before she can butcher her words anymore, she turns and focuses intently on the cutlery.
"What was that?" Bradley laughs in a whisper. "Don't tell me you have a crush!"
"No." She says, hoping no one heard him say that. She doesn't want to be gossiped about tonight just because she mixed up her words and got embarrassed.

Cynthia first regarded Damion with played-up annoyance. ‘Why Mr. White, congratulations on being the first one to break the dress code of white with only decorations of another colour.’ Cynthia smirked and winked at her friend. She was glad that the other guests’ clothing stayed appropriate. ‘Also, is that jacket of yours even formal? A big milestone for you, mister.’
Then she turned towards Aurora and Bailey. ‘Worry not, you are just in time my friends.’ She guided Bailey and Aurora towards the appropriate table. Aurora was not on the same table as Cynthia, but Bailey was, since their friendship was closer. It happened to be that most of her friends coming were Ravenclaws, which is the reason why only Olivia and Kim weren’t in the house of the wise.
Cynthia blushed slightly and shook Mr. Everridge’s hand before continuing, ‘Why thank you, you look well yourself. The fireworks would be, of course, magical, and I would suppose quite a nice show for us. The hotel isn’t far away, so it won’t be too tiring for you, sir.’ As Bailey joined her table, Cynthia turned to her to answer the question she just asked. ‘He has told me. You are also correct, Damion, Kim would be, sadly late, though he was an absolute delight at Opeila’s ball; lovely dance partner.’

Pandora looked at Cynthia. Okay, she was right. She lowered her head like a delinquent child She was delighted to hear that she could play in the evening. She sat down in one of the chairs.
"Thanks Damion. You're so beautiful too"
When it was time to eat, they came to the room where the round tables were. She carefully sat down in the chair with her name on it. She began to listen to the conversations of the others. She thought she needed to talk to someone. She turned to Cynthia and said in a curious voice.
"Is it going to be a fireworks show? Very good. Looks like it's going to be exciting. I can't wait to see this moment"
It was sure to be a great day. She was excited when she heard this. She puts it in her bag, trying not to look carefully from the lettuce. She did it to win the heart of her rabbit. She could guess that Tia would be offended by her for going alone.
"I'm a little excited actually. I don't know what to say."
She wasn't thinking of saying it out loud. Her face turns red when she realizes that she said it out loud.

| ─── | It had been a busy few days.
Kim had gone to various parties, balls, and celebrations and felt exhausted from all the pureblood events. He didn't want to go to any more. But as a Sato member, he was required and expected to attend them all, regardless. A sigh escaped his lips as he briefly wondered what it would be like to not be affiliated with the Satos. Coming straight from a previous ball, Kim arrived at the Beaufort manor. A butler showed him the way to the main area, where everyone was gathered and he glanced around. There were assigned seats at the dining table and he spotted his own name there. Recognizing a few people, Kim came over and took a seat.... There were some people who weren't as familiar to him as others, but he'd seen nearly all of them before. Kim was dressed in a completely white outfit with gold designs on either side of the suit jacket. Even his shoes were white with white lace-ups and a silver ring could be seen on his left index finger. A diamond bracelet graced his left wrist, along with his usual diamond pride bracelet and diamond earrings studded his lobes. At the table were people he either knew or was familiar with, which made him feel more comfortable. Bailey, Damion, and Oliver. Along with Pandora and Olivia, two girls he didn't really know that well but had seen around before. Enough to know their names at least. And of course, their host Cynthia was there. After nodding to the latter, Kim focused his attention on the other guests at the table. It seemed as if dinner was about to be served, perfect timing because it meant he didn't need to engage in the most horrific thing of all. Small talk. A plate of bread and soup appeared before him and he quickly started to eat, after greeting the other guests. Once he was done, a bowl of salad appeared which he started to devour, given another excuse not to talk once again... The main course appeared, along with a drink, and Kim continued to stuff his face, not wanting to give anyone a chance to try and get him to talk to them. But there was only one course left, dessert. What would he do when he finished that one? He'd have to talk then... therefore, he needed to take this time to think about what to say to people... Lost in thought, he almost missed what Pandora said, until his brain caught up with the words she'd spoken. "There's a fireworks show?" Kim echoed Pandora's earlier spoken words. He swallowed his food, at least the food inside his mouth. And then glanced over at Bailey and Damion, before returning his attention to Pandora again. |

Bailey felt a tad out of place without Kim, so she was quite pleased when Damion came up to her. She smiled and said "hiii damion!!!! yes, he had another party to go to. I have only been to a few of these parties, and they are so exhausting - i dunno how kim does this."
Bailey blushed when Dami complemented her, and she grinned cheekily and said "why thank you, damion! you look quite dashing yourself - quite handsome."
Bailey looked around, and a while later when she was scanning the room, she spotted a familiar face. More than a familiar face - a face she had come to love. Bailey smiled wide, stood up from her chair, and made her way over to where Kim was standing. "kimmmm!!!!" she said, pulling him towards their table.
Dinner was then served, and bailey dug in - as elegantly as she could. Bailey had been raised in a comfortable life, in the high middle class. Sure, her father did not make a ton of money as a firefighter, but her family was well enough off. These manners though - this was high society, something bailey was coming to not be super fond of. Especially since they treated muggle borns, like her, like lesser people. Bailey, under Kim's instruction, had kept the fact that she was a muggle born under wraps, unless directly asked about it. She was not going to flaunt that fact about herself, she would much rather go unnoticed to most people.
Bailey was shocked when Kim and @Pandora Smith mentioned that there would be fireworks - she had thought for a second waittt aren't fireworks just a muggle thing..? and then she realized - she had seen magical fireworks in Zonko's when she had been there earlier in the school year.
