With a sigh, the blonde girl plopped down onto the cushioned seat of her compartment - number twenty-four - and dropped her trunk by her feet. She should have put it up above her seat, but she was much too tired for that. The beginning of a long day had ensued, and she was not ready. This morning, she had forgotten to brush her hair, and her mother had to do it in the backseat of their car, scolding Felicity for not taking proper care of her hair. She took a mental note to do so when she was away - she wouldn't have her mother to look after her at Hogwarts.

She scootched her way over towards the window, which would soon display beautiful scenery instead of a busy train station, and looked through the crowd, trying to spot her father. He promised her he would see her off, but he also told her that she may not be able to see him. She hoped that she would be able to, though. She would like to see him one last time before she was gone until winter break. She wasn't even sure if she would go back to Aberdeen during the break. What if she found friends that she wouldn't mind staying with? She hoped she did. She was leaving all of her Muggle friends behind. She didn't exactly socialize with wizards or witches other than her family until now.

The girl came from a half-blood wizard family, and a Muggle family. Her mother was a Muggle, meanwhile her father was a Wizard. They both work Muggle jobs, though. She learned a lot about magic and Hogwarts from her father, so she felt like she was completely prepared. Even if they were from two separate generations, there was a feeling in the girl's gut that it would be a fantastic year. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to spot her father before the train started moving. She hoped he could see her. And she didn't know it, but he did.

She moved away from the window again, sitting more in the middle of her seat. She pulled her trunk up into her lap, opening up the latches and looking inside. It was an older trunk, passed down to her from her father. Granted, it was brown leather, and the straps were Hufflepuff yellow. Felicity did not plan on being a Hufflepuff. She was hopeful for Ravenclaw, and she was sure she would be getting into it, but one could never know. Her father hoped that she would be in Hufflepuff. Her mother didn't really have a say - she didn't really understand the concept, she just supported Felicity.

Grabbing what she was looking for - a chocolate frog her father had given her before she closed her trunk and left the house for Hogwarts - and closing her trunk, she finally decided to put it above her seat, and then plopped right back down into said seat, again. She was super hopeful that someone would come along and join her in the compartment, but then again, she could be alone for the journey. Not like she particularly minded - she was quite used to being alone - but she did prefer some company. Leaving home was lonely enough as it is.

As she boarded the train, Chloe realized he already missed her parents. They were very forgetful, so she was worried that they would forget to write back to her. She knew for a long time she was a witch, but she had never seen anything like how she had gotten to the train platform. She had run through a brick wall with her parents. They had told her about it. Both growing up at Hogwarts, they recounted the times they had to run through the brick wall to get to the Hogwarts Express. She had requested that they tell her their stories often.

Sighing, Chloe made her way down the train hallway, looking for a compartment with room for her. She got to one that only had one girl in it- number 24. She peeked her head in and smiled at the girl.

"Hi! Is it okay if I sit here too?" She hoped the girl would say it was okay, because Chloe wasn't seeing any other spots available for her. She noticed the girl holding something. It was a chocolate frog! Chloe always loved those. She thought they were so cool. She also really loved getting to see the Famous Witch or Wizard card that came with them. Her favorite snacks were the cauldron cakes though. She was really hoping she could get one soon.

The girl was just about to open her Chocolate Frog package when she heard another voice in the room. She lifted her gaze from the packet to the door, a small blush coming across her face. Oh, boy, she was not good with speaking to people. "Uh, s-sure," She replied, then looked back down to her package, tugging the wrapper open whilst holding on to the frog tightly through the bottom part of it, so it wouldn't slip its way out of the package and jump around the compartment - or worse, out of the compartment.

She made sure to bite into the chocolate as soon as she was possible. That way, the frog would not be able to jump around anymore. She pulled out the card that came with it, and grinned widely - she was so excited. She got Luna Lovegood! She took this as a token of good luck, tucking it into the inside of her robe. She had changed almost immediately after she boarded the train. She couldn't wait to get to Hogwarts. She has high hopes for being sorted into Ravenclaw, the same house as Luna Lovegood, Cho Chang, and Sybill Trelawney! She'd heard plenty of stories from her father about them, and she idolized the people of Ravenclaw so much. She would be heartbroken if she wasn't sorted into the house of her dreams.

She looked back up at the girl to check on her position, keeping her head slightly angled lower. She wasn't a big socialite when she was back in Aberdeen. Maybe she should change that? She wasn't in Aberdeen anymore. She could try and act like she acted when she was with her mother, father and siblings. That should be easy enough, right?

"I-I'm Felicity." She decided to speak up to introduce herself, unable to steady her stutter. She silently cursed herself for not doing so. She shouldn't be so shy. Her mother always told her that people would love her once they meet her! Why wasn't it as easy to believe as she hoped?

Chloe smiled warmly at Felicity and sat down, watching her bite the frog. "Who'd you get?" She smiles, nodding toward the chocolate frog.

She was good at meeting people. Yes, Chloe was extremely shy, but if she had no options, she was good at coming out of her shell and talking to people. And this was an instance where she needed to, since there was nowhere for her to sit alone.

Chloe set her trunk at her feet and watched Felicity for a minute before realizing that she had introduced herself. That was another problem she had- she either spoke without thinking, or would completely forget to reply to someone. She smiled again at her.

"I'm Chloe!" She said, excited to be making her first friend at Hogwarts, before they even got to Hogwarts. She wasn't sure how different it would be to meet people once they got to the castle, so she figured as long as she made at least one solid friend on the train, she'd be happy.

"...I'm not cut out for this am I?" A muttered sigh came out of the boy's mouth holding his ticket from the conductor. He really didn't look like he belonged in the place...Most of the people he saw boarding the train looked...well...so unlike him...

He came to the station with a wrinkly dress shirt, unbuttoned enough to see the whit shirt he was wearing underneath. He was rocking that messy hair of his, although always looking lazy was his trademark look.

"Huh? I'm not paying attention am I?" A mutter once more would fill the air around him, a lazy one at best. He had been walking down the isle for a while now, thinking, only to find himself quite far down, all the way to a compartment with the number "24" written on it.

*Why not?...I'm too lazy to go back anyway...I'll just lazily go in there, and smash my face into the wall, then go to sleep...Yep sounds like a plan*

Siege didn't bother to look through, after all he was pretty tired.

*Damn...just realized how tired I was...Why did that guy have a bat? He could've killed me! Wait.. the real question is, why didn't I have my bat? Did he take it? Oh crap it was my step-dad who took it...EDWA-*

His train of thought was interrupted when he found two girls sitting within the compartment. One had blonde hair, and somewhat had a "I am very kind, and please believe me look", and the other had brown hair, with a...Hmn...this one's a bit harder...but anyways, yeah, Siege wasn't two psyched up to share a compartment with girls, seeing as they talked about nothing that he wanted to talk about...

*Huh? Two?...This might be a pain...Who the hell am I gonna talk to now? Can I even sleep here? Should I go back?...Nah...I'm too damn tired...If that one guy, just didn't have a bat...Yea, why not, guess I'll try to put these on...should I need to sleep...*

Siege would pull out his headphones, and hoping that he didn't have to put them on for the trip...

Felicity shared her grin with Chloe, turning her card of Luna Lovegood around to show it to her, "Luna Lovegood! She's my favorite." She admitted, then placed her card on her lap, taking out the chocolate frog to finish it off. It was so good, she ought to buy another when the candy cart came around. That part excited her - she was a sucker for sweets. She had a feeling that once she was introduced to Hogsmeade, she would never be able to leave her father's favorite place - the candy shop: Honeydukes. They must of had everything imaginable! She was way too excited for such an unhealthy habit. She should seriously reconsider her life decisions.

Her attention seemed to turn away from her 'life decisions' when she heard the compartment door slide open, and a brown-haired boy walked in. Oh, boy, here came the shyness once more. She quickly diverted her gaze from the male, and trained her stare on Luna Lovegood, instead. Except, she was gone! But, there was a little not in her place. Gone to play with thestrals. For how long? She sighed, and took another piece of her chocolate frog into her mouth, before glancing out the window that she was beside, taking notice that they were well into the countryside now, in areas near London that haven't been very populated, whatsoever. In fact, their population consisted of: no one.

She smiled to herself, and looked back away, the sun beginning to bother her eyes. She didn't exactly want to become blinded by UV rays. She finished off her chocolate frog, before pulling out her most recent reading - her Hogwarts: A History book that she had been required to purchase from Flourish and Blott's in Diagon Alley for the school year. She had made it a point to read all of her school books before school was even in session, and she just had to finish this one last one, then she was done. She intended to keep this one for the train ride, so she would be just as equally amazed with the school when she arrived.

Chloe looked up at the boy who had just walked into the compartment. He looked as if he didn't want to be there. She smiled warmly at him, trying to show him that they're friendly and he's welcome to talk to him. Maybe he would be another new friend too. She sure hoped so. She would need plenty help and people to talk to once she was surrounded by all the Hogwarts student.

"Hi!" She smiled widely at him as he sat down. "I'm Chloe, this is Felicity!" She glanced out the door of the compartment, hoping the candy cart would come soon. She really wanted a chocolate cauldron  cake more than anything. She looked back over at Felicity and smiled at her. "I like Neville Longbottom, I think he might be my favorite. I'm hoping to be in Gryffindor- just like my parents were. And Neville." She didn't realize that she would be completely wrong and would be sorted into Hufflepuff.

She watched as Felicity pulled her book out and cracked it open. She frowned.

Were they supposed to go ahead and read their books? I'm way behind... Chloe was thinking to herself, nervous that she would be behind in all her classes now.

*GA-! IGNORED!* The thought quickly entered the boy's head as the girl quickly snapped her head towards the window. *Ahem...Well...At least I'll sleep in peace* His thoughts would wander, before noticing the other girl once more, munching on...chocolate?...Are they playing trading cards or something? Wait I'm getting off topic here. Anyways, yeah, his thoughts began to wander to a peaceful sleep before the brown haired girl's voice filled his mind.

"Hi! I'm Chloe, this is Felicity!" The girl said enthusiastically, whose mind seemed to drift away after the greeting. Um...I still don't have a quote for this one...erm...kind of embarrassing really...uh...will "I am Nice, and you can believe me" work? Yeah sure, she's got that look to her.

"The name's Siege, pleased to meat you" Said the boy, mustering all of his willpower to smile kindly at the girl. His face ached when he did. He was not used to a genuinely kind smile. He didn't know how he looked, but his smile would either look decently normal, or a smile a demon would have, the smile he would usually carry when fighting someone...In other words quite the devilish smile, and he can't help but think that it's the latter.

*Just when I thought I'll have a good time with the other one just ignoring me...but this one...she seems pretty...well...pretty hyper...Is that sugar getting to her head or something?!*

Chloe smiled one last time before she looked down. The boy had a look on his face like she had just interrupted him taking a nap, so she figured she could stop talking and let him take one if he wanted. Chloe always tended to see the best in people. She was constantly happy and positive, and it got on peoples' nerves quite often. She looked out the compartment and saw the trolley in the distance. She smiled and sat back, pulling a tiny bit of money out of her pocket. She could't wait for her cauldron cake.

Chloe reached down to her trunk and pulled out her favorite book, The Tales of Beedle the Bard. Her mother would always read it to her when she was younger and sick, and she was still feeling homesick. She cracked it open, removing the bookmark and starting from the beginning. She glanced back over at the boy sitting on the other side of the compartment and examined him before she starting her book. She decided that he was nervous to be going to Hogwarts. She closed her book again and took a deep breath, deciding to speak to him.

"Hey, it's okay. We're all nervous about Hogwarts and going somewhere new." She gave him a small smile.

At this point, Felicity tuned back into the conversation. She looked between the two others in the compartment with a neutral expression, not wanting to give off any type of wrong ideas. The boy's name was Siege, she noted to herself, and she looked over at the other girl again - Chloe. Should be easy enough to remember. She was always good with names. She could count everyone that she met in preschool and name them without a second thought. That was a little weird, honestly, but she didn't think of it that way. She thought of it as good memory.

She smiled a bit as she watched Chloe take out her money, and she took out her own galleon and three sickles that she had left from purchasing her school supplies. She would need most of it for her time at Hogwarts, she was sure, so she put the galleon away, keeping out the three sickles. It ought to buy her something off the trolly. Maybe even a few things! Excitement flooded through her once the compartment door slid open again, and instead of a student, the trolly lady was there. Felicity jumped up, and headed to the entrance, looking at everything on the cart. They had more chocolate frogs! And Bertie Bott's Every Flavored Beans! She picked up a chocolate frog package, and sheepishly handed over her three sickles, paying the cost and getting two knuts in exchange.

She sat back in her seat, deciding to keep the package shut until the compartment was sealed off again, so that her chocolate frog wouldn't be able to get away. She placed it beside her once she was sat down, next to her Luna Lovegood card. Hopefully, she would be able to get Albus Dumbledore. She always wondered how such greatness could ever pass on. The old Headmaster of Hogwarts would always be remembered throughout the rest of the future that was ahead of the wizard community. He was just legendary, unforgettable, and an idol to many. Almost like Merlin, himself.
