A Date For the Spring Ball
[/reducio]Mira Hawkins: Ilvermony Horned-Serpent
Mira arrives at Hogwarts for the Spring Ball. She was amazed indeed by the gorgeous castle. After a night in the campgrounds, she can't wait to explore this wonderful school! Well, as the horned-serpent is a house of wit, the place she wanna go first is the library. She has heard from her brother Marcus Hawkins that Hogwarts has a grand library. She can't wait!
Hogwarts is big, she has to walk for a long time to arrive at the library. When she stepped inside the large room, she is completely astonished! This is so big!
She forced herself to not yell out, and replaced it with whispers of Wow! She walks through the shelves, looking at the pretty designed books. If only Ilvermony has such a wonderful library!
Actually, she has another purpose for this exploration. She wants a date for the Spring Ball. He can be from Hogwarts or any other school. Students she can meet here must be intelligent and must love studying.
She can't wait! She runs her hand on the book covers. She loves the feeling of leather and the smell of parchment!
She keeps an eye on handsome boys without a partner to the ball...

A Date For the Spring Ball
Akihiko knew that the Hexiwizard competition would be no excuse to his family for bad grades. He was already falling behind before he had come to Hogwarts, and he didn’t need to fall even father. Some might say that he was already a great student, but great wasn’t enough. The voice in his head whispered あなたの成績はいとこと同じくらい悪いですか？なんて失敗だ。1 He couldn’t! If he were as bad as Botan, what would his family like him for? “もっと良くなれ、秋彦。彼らがあなたを待っているように失敗しないでください。2” He chided himself aloud. For some reason, hearing it float through the open air made him all the more determined. He made his way to the library to study, determined not to fail. He wasn’t the only one there. He saw a girl scanning the books with adoration, looking about ready to scream in amazement. She probably thought this was a big library, but it was nothing compared to his family’s library. He was pretty sure the room was endless with how far the shelves extended. A crash jerked him from his thoughts. Some kid had dropped a stack of books nearby, leaving them open and splayed out on the ground. He rushed over to help the kid pick it up. “Be careful next time!” He turned to see the girl watching him, maybe even admiring? He walked over and greeted her brightly. “Hello!”Reducio1) Are your grades as bad as your cousin's? What a failure.
2) Get better, Akihiko. Don't fail like they are waiting for you to do.

A Date For the Spring Ball
Mira looks around the library again, and lays here eyes on a Japanese boy. He is handsome indeed. Very attracting. He looks like a first year as well. He is murmuring something himself in a language Mira can't understand. He seems to be a nice date for Mira.
Before Mira can open her mouth and ask, the boy walks near her, and greets her brightly. Immediately, Mira has a strange feeling in her heart, perhaps it's a feeling of 'like'. Mira's cheeks flushes red. and she says, 'Hello. Nice to meet you. I am Mira Hawkins, first year from Horned Serpent, Ilvermony. What's your name? You look like a Japanese. Let me guess, Mahoutokoro?' Mira smiles sweetly.
She is thinking quickly in her mind. Should she ask directly if he wants to be her date? What if he doesn't like her, or he already has a date. But if she doesn't, what if she is going to miss the opportunity to have him as her date? Well, the best solution for her seems to be that she ask in a secret way.
Mira takes a deep breath and starts to speak. 'Umm, I have something to ask you. You know there is a spring ball here...'

Akihiko took a moment to admire the girl. She was pretty by all standards, although not by his, and looked kind and funny. Could you tell that by looking at a person? Maybe, maybe not. After his greeting, her cheeks had flushed bright red. A clear sign that she found him attractive. He knew how to play this up, but refused to toy with the girl. 'Hello. Nice to meet you. I am Mira Hawkins, first year from Horned Serpent, Ilvermony. What's your name? You look like a Japanese. Let me guess, Mahoutokoro?' She seemed to be on a rant. He smiled with his eyes, understanding more and more how deep her crush went. And her nerves, for that matter. "Yes, I am from Mahoutokoro. My name is Akihiko, and it’s nice to meet you Mira." He still spoke a little oddly in english, given that it wasn’t his native tongue, but he was hopeful that his time at Hogwarts would help eliminate any odd speaking habits he had from Japanese.
Akihiko can almost see the cogs whirring in her mind. Clearly, she was debating her next action. He wouldn’t have to wait much longer, given her sharp intake of breath. 'Umm, I have something to ask you. You know there is a spring ball here...' His eyes lit up. "I’ve heard about the ball. I’m still looking a date, unfortunately, but hopefully I’ll find one soon." He realized how he was sounding. Now it sounded like he was asking her if she would be his date. Which wasn’t a bad idea… "Hey, would you be interested in going to the spring ball with me?" He asked, tilting his head a little so that the small shafts of light would hit his face just right.Reducio1)
