The start

Dear Journal,

Well.. I guess I’ll start by introducing myself. My name is Hannah Quinn Grace Blossom, but most people call me by my name, Hannah. I’ve just turned eleven, and I’m a proud witch.

Yes. My Hogwarts letter arrived yesterday.

Well.. my first incident of magic was when was six years old. I was at Dakota and Jasper's house (my old neighbors who were muggles) invited the family over for a barbecue. They had a son who was a year older than me, his name was Benjamin, although everyone called him Ben. We were playing close to the pool and I fell into the pool. I didn't know how to swim, and I was panicking. Suddenly, a bubble covered my nose and I was breathing. I got out of the pool and I was alive. My mother asked me what happened, and I told her everything, and she didn't seem surprised, she told my father.

I always attended pure-blood balls, and I always said I was a pure-blood, so people always thought I was telling the truth. So.. here I am a half-breed (part-veela) girl who is going to Hogwarts and pretends she's a pure-blood. That's me I guess.

Let me tell you about yesterday. Well... As I said, I'm going to Hogwarts. Wow... so I woke up at six in the morning (as always). Changed and got ready for the day. Had breakfast, which was a fruit bowl, and I drank some milk and then... an owl came and left a letter at the window. The first one to notice was my father. He said: "Oh look! An owl" he got it and saw the Hogwarts logo. "Hannah!" It's for you" I grabbed the letter and literally screamed. I was SO excited to go to Hogwarts.

"HANNAH! Stop screaming!" said my dad. Then my mom came to defend me "Sweetie.. she's a girl, besides it's Hogwarts! Our daughter is going to HOGWARTS. Do you know what a big deal this is?!?". Then I finally stopped and said: "Wait! I'm gonna go pack my bag!" "You don't even have a wand..." my dad spoke. "Oh yeah... WE NEED TO GO TO DIAGON ALLEY!! I never have been to Diagon Alley, so we're going to get all my stuff tomorrow.

P.S. I need to give you a name... how about Logan.. no... how about Adele? And I can call you Addie.

Shopping

Addie,

We have left for London a few hours ago, and we're currently on our way to Diagon Alley. I'm very excited to go shopping. If your wondering we (my parents and I) are on a train, heading to London (as I said). I'm quite glad I decided to take you. We're only going to shop, and then head back home, so we're just going to stay for today. I'll update you when I have time.

So, I'm back, we're currently having lunch, and I decided to do some writing. First of all, I got all of my books! I'll attach the list here as well.

SUPPLIES

A wand;
A remembrall;
A cauldron (standard tin model, size 2);
A box of glass or crystal phials;
Copper scales.

These purchases as a whole can be done at the shops on Diagon Alley, in London.

Clothes

Three (black) plain work robes, standard model;
A pointed hat (black);
A pair of protective gloves;
A winter cloak (black with silver fastenings).
All clothes should carry pupil’s name tags.

I've gotten the books and the clothes until now, but after lunch we'll get all the other supplies. I'm so excited to get my wand! I'll see you later, we're heading to get more supplies.

Okay, so, we're headed back home, and I got my wand and something else... A CAT! Yes, her name is Storm, but I call her Stormy. My mother surprised me with her, and if your wondering the breed, she's a Gray Mackerel Tabby. She took me to the shop and told me I could get any pet I'd like, and I choose Storm! If your wondering how she got her name, well, I'm more than happy to tell. I didn't know where she was taking me, and then dragged me inside the Magical Menagerie. That was a surprise. I played with some pets, and then found Storm. She was so cute and I wanted to take her home. My mother said "Sure!" and we paid, and then, rain started pouring. My mom said "Come on, I think that there will be a storm latter." and that's how she got her name. She's so cute! I love her so much!

Now, I'll tel you about my wand. My wand is very pretty, and I love it so much! If your wondering it's 24,4 cm cherry wood and dragon heartstring. I tried three wands, and this one was my fourth, like they say "The wand chooses the wizard!". Well, it choose me... I'm so excited to go to Hogwarts. The wand was described as "Swishy, very powerful, but hard to use, very selective of the wizard it chooses.", I'm happy, and proud it choose me, and I'm even happier I have a wand!
