Azrael sat by the Great Lake playing their guitar, nothing particular. Just a random tune. They plucked gently at the strings, moving their hand and repositioning their fingers along the neck of the guitar. They hummed softly as they thought. The ball had been a complete disaster... Heck... They ran because they got upset because they said something horrible. Azzy switched to an actual song, something they could relate to. Something in The Orange, by Zach Bryan. As they played they swayed softly from side to side, and sang. "It'll be fine by dusk but I'm tellin you baby... These things eat at your bones and drive your young mind crazy... They looked up at the sky, it was beautiful... They continue singing, "But when you place your head between my collar and jaw... I don't know much but there's no weight at all... They smiled at the memory of Rhys and them riding the horse trail. That was fun... "And I'm damned if I do! And I'm damned if I don't... 'cause if I say "I miss you.." I know that you won't... But I miss you in the morning when I see the sun... Something in the Orange tells me we're not done..." Their voice rang across the seemingly empty landscape. "To you I'm just man! To me you're all I am! Where the hell am I supposed to go?! I poisoned myself again! Something in the orange tells me you're never comin home... They closed their eyes, almost picturing themselves meeting Rhys again. They became a bit overwhelmed and switched back to just a random melody, looking out over the lake.
"If the men find out we can shapeshift, they are GOING TO TELL THE CHURCH!"

((OOC Note: Sorry I was at school))
Addie had been bored, just sitting in her Common Room so she got up and headed out to the lake. The lake had a special feeling that she couldn’t begin to describe. Maybe it felt familiar, calming or quiet. She didn’t know and didn’t care, she just loved it.
Today the lake was calm and quiet. There was barely anyone there, every once in a while she would come across a person. But, they would just walk by and say nothing. She would awkwardly wave and some people would laugh. Addie frowned at them and would start to walk faster.
As she walked further around the lake there was less and less people. When she got to the point that there was no people she heard a wonderful sound. She knew it was a guitar, but she didn’t know the song. She wondered who was playing and if they were like the other people she had met.
I really hope not. I wonder who the person is! She thought to herself.
She continued to walk hoping to come across the person playing guitar and she did. She saw Azrael playing guitar and said, “Hi, I’m Addie.”
She didn’t know if they heard, but she smiled.

Azzy looked from the lake to Addie. She had red hair, glasses, and eyes that sparkled a clear blue. Azzy shifted a bit, they had heard about her, Addie Richards. A sunshine character if anything. They gave a softly smile. "Nice to meet you, Addie. I'm Azrael Faire, call me Azzy though, most people do. My pronouns are they/them." They said, they were doing their best to try and come across friendly. Azzy shifted a bit with their guitar, so that it was more comfortable, it wasn't long ago that a Gryffindor girl by the name of Alana Dibble had caught Azrael playing their violin in this exact spot. "Come on and sit down, anything particular you wanna hear? I can play pretty much anything honestly, and that's thanks to my style of playing. I don't mean to brag or anything. Heh..." They said, looking back out over the lake, they liked making new friends, but after Madeline died, they found that hard, it was May 2nd, two days after her funeral. They sighed and traced what Madeline had carved into her white guitar for them, "Follow your heart and always look ahead. Love, Madeline." They smiled softly as they traced it, it felt like Madeline was still there sometimes. They looked back at Addie. "Forgive my silence. I just have alot going on inside my mind sometimes... It gets loud enough I can't think.."

Addie smiled as she walked over and plopped down taking a seat.
She thought for a moment and then said, “Umm would you happen to know how to play ‘Jolene' by Dolly Parton. It was my friend Runi’s favorite song.”
Addie expression slightly changed to a frown. Runi used to take her on long car rides with Dolly Parton on blast, but the one song she would sing to was ‘Jolene’.
“Sorry” Addie quickly blurted out.
She attempted to smile, but gave up after a while. She dug into her robe and pulled out a notebook type thing, ink and a special quill. The quill was a light yellow color with black gemstones scattered about. She opened the notebook to an empty page and started to sketch out what looked like a person. After she finished the sketch she dipped the quill into the ink and started on the line art. She would occasionally look up at the lake and softly smile. The lake was just like Runi’s eyes which was the perfect reference.

Azzy smiled at the request. Jolene was one of Azzys favorites, they repositioned and started playing a warm up for the song before actually playing. After a bit of a warm up they finally played and sang in an American Southern accent. Their hands moving quickly and somehow Azzy was able to keep an actual beat while playing.
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene~
I'm begging of you please don't take my man
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene~
Please don't take him just because you can
Your beauty is beyond compare
With flaming locks of auburn hair
With ivory skin and eyes of emerald green
Your smile is like a breath of spring
Your voice is soft like summer rain
And I cannot compete with you
Jolene
He talks about you in his sleep
And there's nothing I can do to keep
From crying when he calls your name
Jolene
And I can easily understand
How you could easily take my man
But you don't know what he means to me
Jolene
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene~
I'm begging of you please don't take my man
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene~
Please don't take him just because you can
You could have your choice of men
But I could never love again
He's the only one for me
Jolene
I had to have this talk with you
My happiness depends on you
And whatever you decide to do
Jolene
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene~
I'm begging of you please don't take my man
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene
Please don't take him even though you can
Jolene, Jolene
After singing Azzy shifted a bit, rubbing their fingers. "I forgot how hard that for finger style. Ouch." They whined as they shook their hands out. They started to worry they might have accidentally cut open one of their fingers on a string. That honestly wouldn't surprise them. They did have a habit of playing to vigorously. And it helped distract them from the greif that they felt after losing not just Thorn, but Madeline as well. They sighed and looked up at the sky. They missed Madeline. The small group hadn't been the same since her death. And Azzy doubted that it was self inflicted. They wanted nothing more than to sneak into the girls dorms to get to what was left of Madeline's stuff. They shook it off. It's best to let bygones be bygones and let the past rest. Though they always thought that it wouldn't sit right with them if that ever happened to cross their minds again. They sighed and looked at their fingers. No blood. That was good. That meant they could keep playing. At that moment they were glad that they had spent so much time playing the violin and the guitar that it never really bothered them. They went back to playing the opening to I Love You Too Much. It was a beautiful song and they thought that it fit the situation quite well for what was going on.

Addie closed her eyes as they sung. She saw the country side and the light green car, the happy smile on Runi’s. Runi’s black hair flowing in the light country breezes and her light blue eyes shining with happiness.
In the background she could hear,
“Your beauty is beyond compare
With flaming locks of auburn hair
With ivory skin and eyes of emerald green
Your smile is like a breath of spring
Your voice is soft like summer rain
And I cannot compete with you
Jolene”
She opened her eyes and snapped out of the memory. She picked up her quill and dipped it back into the ink. She started to draw the face and the clothing. Thinking back to London, Runi usually wore a band t-shirt and ripped jeans. Her aesthetic was grungy, though Runi loved country music as well.
Addie just decided to draw a simple Nirvana shirt for Runi. She started to sketch out the Nirvana face and started to hum along with Azrael. She smiled.
In the background Addie could hear,
“Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene~
I'm begging of you please don't take my man
Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene
Please don't take him even though you can
Jolene, Jolene”
Addie smiled.

Azzy watched the girl. They couldn't help but study they way the Hufflepuffs hair reflected the sunlight. Like fire, and her eyes shone like Galway Bay. They felt their heart flutter in their chest and realized what was happening. No! They wouldn't let this person get the best of their heart. They switched to Ol' Red by Blake Shelton and just played the instrumental, humming the words softly. They looked out over the Lake. They couldn't let this happen, they shouldn't, they wouldn't! They sighed a bit and watched her draw. "A sketch would be more effective if you used muggle things to draw. A pencil goes a long way." They said, sliding their art bag over to Addie, smiling softly. "It really does help. With a quill you can't exactly add shading like you want to. Making it a bit harder to get those fine details in." They looked back over the Lake. Zoning out and subconsciously playing Give Heaven Some Hell by HARDY. They thought about Madeline. Man right now she would be teasing the heck out of Azzy when they got back to the dorms. Then again, some nights they would sneak out to go sit at the Shrieking Shack just for the heck of it. Azzy smiled. Heck some days they would get fireworks and set them off somewhere and Jekyll would always use the invisibility cloak he bought to hide them so they could sneak back to the dorms. Azzy chuckled slightly, a few tears escaping down their face.

((Ooof I haven’t been active TwT))
She looked up as they said, “A sketch would be more effective if you used muggle things to draw. A pencil goes a long way”
Addie smiled. Pencils and pens brought back memories. She cleared her throat before saying,
“I know. I used to grow up with Muggles. They were different, but I don’t see why people hate them”
She saw Azzy’s bag and dug through it. There was more stuff then her pocket could ever hold and that was a lot.
Addie opened to a new page. She picked up a pencil out of their bag and started to lightly sketch. This time it was something different. Instead of just one person up close it was two people farther away. The one person had their arm around the other.
Connor and Runi would love this she thought to herself.
Addie got stuck in a memory. It was football (soccer) day in PE class. Runi had fallen and scraped her knee on the turf. Connor walked over and scooped her up. They both were supposed to be keeping their relationship a secret, but obviously Connor was not very good at that.
Addie quickly erased the pose and sketched out another pose. One person in another’s arms. Addie smiled.
