The next round of partners were called out, and bailey was partnered with a first year, a girl by the name of Duvessa Ember. It was a pretty name, and bailey easily found her partner, having seen her around the castle before.
While walking over to Duvessa, bailey glanced back at charlie. She absentmindedly wondered - what had gotten into her? she had thought charlie was so pretty a minute ago, and now... this was the charlie she knew. what had gotten into her?
Shaking her head again, she smiled as she approached duvessa and said "hello! my name is bailey glade, i believe we were just partnered together for the speed dating? would you like me to grab a question or would you like to get it?"
either way, they got their slip, and bailey read it out loud. "what is your favorite magical creature, and why?" She placed the slip onto the table that was between her and duvessa, and smiled at the question. She thought for a moment, and then said "i would probably say the Mooncalf - we learned about then in a lesson with Professor @Sabine Blumenthal, and they are so cute!!!"
Bailey smiled at duvessa, and asked "how has your first year here been? are you enjoying all of your classes?"

Opeila watched from her table, sipping her tea. While this was entertaining, it was somewhat unspectacular. On one site, yes, she did appreciate some toned down drama, but Opeila knew few of the participating students, most of them being first or maybe second year. The Valentine's Day Party the year before had been maybe a bit embarrassing on the day itself, but she did occasionally chuckle at the memory today.
Despite the lack of excitement, Opeila would let the children talk for a while, get to know each other- maybe this day would end with a few new friendships, that would be enough of an accomplishment for the fourth year. Eventually she would step in though.
"Alright guys, final round! Make it count.", the young Slytherin would call out one last time, before drawing the final pairs. With only four participants, there weren't many options for how this could turn out.

"Uhhh-" Opeila looked down at her bowl that had been full of question at the beginning of the activity. It had been used a lot more than she had expected, leaving her with nothing to offer in the last round. "You'll have to think of some questions yourself this round, I don't have any left!" With an apologetic smile she would hold up the empty bowl.

After this one, it would be over and Kim could return back to his dorm. Or maybe he'd go outside for awhile. When the pairs were drawn, he got someone he knew quite well. Someone who had been his partner in an earlier round. Shiro. Kim offered him a slight smile as the two met again and thought for a moment about questions. Since this last round they had to come up with them on their own, it was a little harder. All of the questions before had been relatively generic and didn't have much to do with dating or romance. Maybe he should ask something relating to it this time? After all, it was the last round of the speed-dating event now. "Shiro. What is your ideal type? What kind of person are you looking for?" Kim asked. It was a simple question and one that could have many possible answers. He'd decided on this one since it was not too intrusive but also could be somewhat telling. The second year thought it was a pretty good question. Damion would probably ask him the same question later, so Kim thought about what his answer would be, while he waited for Shiro's. For him it was complicated since he was torn between 2 different types of people. Sophia and Felix. He liked Sophia's naivety and energy that she brought to a room. The way she got flustered too. But he also liked Felix's confidence and arrogance. Even though he didn't like rudeness, Felix's rudeness was just electrifying to him. There was something about him that made Kim's heart skip a few beats. And then sometimes made his heart race. The way Felix acted when he got flustered was so adorable to him. He really was such a rude boy, too pretty for his own good, and Kim wasn't sure why he liked him so much. Back to the question. Kim couldn't figure out what type he liked because he liked both Sophia and Felix's personalities.... However, they literally were complete opposites. So what did that say about his type? Did he have two types? |

Valentine's Day Party

Damion was happy that the last round of this speed dating had started and he was very excited to be paired with the guy he was crushing on. Yes Kim Sato. He felt it was like fate that he was paired with him and his heart couldn’t stop fluttering. He didn’t want to lose Kim ever. He was not sure if Kim was the person that he was going to be with forever. He didn’t want to think about them breaking up cause that broke his little heart. He sighed as he let the thoughts pass him by. He didn’t want to think about breaking up on such a nice day. It was Valentine’s Day for crying out loud. He was really happy that he had gotten to spend it with someone he cared so much about.
Damion looked at Kim as he heard what Kim as asking him. "Hmm… what is my ideal type?" He said trying to think of what type of people he was attracted to. He had had a type for sure. Was it someone with unique pair of eyes and pretty hair? Or was it someone like Kim. He was not sure what he could say. "For the ideal type, I think I would be attracted to people who have a pretty eyes and hair like you do." he said smiling. "As for the kind of person I am looking for is someone who is compassionate, understanding and shares some things that I am into and doesn’t have rigid mindset or stereotypes things." He said smiling at Kim.
Damion turned to look at Kim again and said "Same questions for you Kim. Tell me." He said softly. Was he ready to hear that Kim had someone else other than Damion who would be his ideal type and the kind of person he was looking for. He was not going to let that stop him from knowing this about Kim. He was falling for him and he would do anything to spend time with him.

So Damion liked someone who had pretty eyes and hair like he did? That was an interesting description. Kim wondered if Damion meant he went for appearances more. Or if he just liked his look. He nodded when the other spoke of what qualities he was looking for in a person. It made sense to him. "I'm not entirely sure if I have a type but I do like certain traits and qualities. I like people who are confident, charming and comfortable in their own skin. But who also don't have a big head about themselves. Their looks don't really matter to me, as long as they're not completely grotesque. A little bit of savageness is also good too. But at the same time, I also like people who are bubbly, energetic and innocent, who get flustered over things sometimes. I think it's kind of cute and adorable." He told Damion and glanced over at the others. They were all leaving now. "Ah, I guess it's time to go. I'll see you later, Shiro!" Kim told him with a faint smile. The speed-dating event at the Valentine's Party had been interesting, even though he hadn't really had any expectations. He'd been a bit worried about the nature of the event but it turned out he hadn't needed to worry much about it at all. It had merely been harmless fun, just some random generic questions. Kim would head over to the refreshments and nibble on some stuff before leaving the party area. Unless something unexpected happened that is. |
