Joseph was not having a good day why? because it's Monday. Mondays suck, it's the day where you have to abandon all the fun things you did on the weekends and slog back to classes and homework. Magic classes was mostly fun, but he would rather sleep in than go classes and do work. He was in the corridors sulking and walking slowly back to the Slytherin common room.
"Teachers piling homework as usual." he muttered.

Through the day Joseph had tried all sorts of different ways to release his frustration on a non-living object but it seemed like the whole world was against him because it came back like a boomerang. He had kicked hardly on the wall, which made his foot hurt, threw stones in the great lake, which made him wet, and punched the table, which made it hard to write. If he couldn't release his frustration by physical actions, then it was going to be verbal actions. Joseph looked at the passing Gryffindors.
"What a bunch of stupid losers. They think that just because some guy from Gryffindor saved the Wizarding World and that they own this school."
Joseph looked to his right. There was some Ravenclaws chatting.
"Always learning learning learning learning. Do they ever take a break. Nerds."
Joseph was about to comment about the Hufflepuffs ahead when someone bumped him into a wall. He looked back and saw that it was a girl with blonde hair.
"Hey! How about you get your sorry ass back here and apologize, you dumb blonde. yelled Joseph.
He was drawing a lot of attention, but he didn't care.

OOC: I am sorry if I offended anyone because of the insults but Joseph is just really frustrated in this thread. I mean none of the insults I wrote. Sorry again.

───── Lilliana had always tried to avoid the corridors. Unfortunately, it was the main route to get to the majority of her classes and to get out. It was too noisy. Students dropped items on the floors, chattering loudly, and bumping into each other in the halls. Whatever peace of mind Lilliana had when she entered the corridors had been diminished by the time she exited. Just being in the place was overwhelming enough to make the first-year snap. Lilliana heaved out a heavy sigh and began making her way through the overcrowded space.

A small yawn escaped Lilliana's lips, and her eyelids got a tad heavier. Great, just great. Whenever the first year got tired, she could never focus right, and her eyes would begin to flutter-- Wake up! She forced herself out of the drowsiness lingering around. Today just had to be a Monday. Monday's... weren't Lilliana's thing. Everything felt so rushed but dull, and boring. Why couldn't every day be a Saturday? Her morning wasn't so great either, the blond-haired girl woke up late, and her hair was such a mess! She nearly had to sprint to her first class.

Lilliana rolled her eyes and began to walk at a fast pace, squeezing her eyes open and shut. Then someone bumped into her. It all happened in a second. Her hair got caught on something on the other person's clothes, (whether it was a bracelet or velcro, or even a sticky patch on someone's clothes, she wasn't paying much attention to), and as she pulled away, four luscious locks of hair were yanked from her head. Lilliana let out a small cry, rubbing her scalp, and stumbling back, only to knock into another person.

Ugh, Lilliana thought, not even bothering to give a second glance at the other person this time. She began to continue walking, but then a voice called out, "Hey! How about you get your sorry ass back here and apologize, you dumb blonde." She halted, replaying the words in her mind, deliberating whether to pay it any attention or continue walking. She turned around to face the other person. Lilliana's arms were crossed rather tightly, and her green eyes were glaring at them, sizing them up.

He looked vaguely familiar, she felt like she might have seen him around the common room occasionally (though never really bothered talking to them). They looked like a first year, like Lilliana. She noticed he didn't bother keeping his voice quiet, a couple of people stopped to stare-- holding up the line even more. That was annoying, he just had to yell at her from across the all calling her a ‘dumb blonde’. Seriously, she was resisting the urge to shove him into the wall again. Not that she had even meant for him to bump into the wall. It was an honest accident. Why did he need to make such a big deal of it?

It wasn't hard to see that the other person was frustrated, and her bumping into him must have been the last straw, but either Lilliana was too tired to notice or she just didn’t care. Probably the latter. He was making a big deal out of nothing, but Lilliana didn't feel like just walking away. The more times she replayed what they said, the more she took offense. What did you just call me?”Lilliana asked. She didn't bother keeping her tone down either, their conversation was already public, and she could see a couple of people whispering amongst each other out of the corner of her eye.

"What did you just call me?" said the girl turning around.
Joseph should have just let it go cause this girl looked like she meant business, but Joseph was really frustrated today. When you are angry even the smallest of things can make an angry person explode like Mount Vesuvius. Joseph wasn't going to back down. He stepped forward towards the girl, sizing her up. She was a tad bit taller than him and wearing a Hogwarts robe with a Slytherin crest on the left. Joseph may or may not have seen her around the common room and during the sorting ceremony. Though he never bothered to talk to her.
"You see if you these things called ears then you would have heard me that I called you a dumb blonde and I asked you to come back here and apologies. Oh, wait you look like you have ears. You must a little deaf then, maybe I can shout it extra loud in your ear." retorted Joseph sarcastically.

If you looked at Joseph's face now you would see a lot of difference. The once warm, sunny look on his face turned cold and as hard as steel. Joseph glared at her after he finished his little rant.
“She bumped into me, yet she is the one that is offended. What has the world come to? Why is there no logic in this world? And a Slytherin. Aren't Slytherins supposed to be smarter than this. " thought Joseph.

───── Lilliana rolled her eyes. It hadn't taken long for the girl to get annoyed. Not a good sign. Lilliana was considering just walking away, she didn't want her temper to get out of control. Though, on the other hand, she had already turned around to face him, and she knew she would regret walking out later. So, Lilliana forced her body to stay rigid and unmoving and stared at the other person accusingly. "What's your name, even?" Lilliana asked, in a bored tone. Though she did want to know the answer. Their face looked familiar, but she couldn't tell if they had met before or just seen each other around the school.

"You see if you these things called ears then you would have heard me that I called you a dumb blonde and I asked you to come back here and apologies." They said. Apologize? Why on earth should Lilliana do that? She barely even touched the person, they just had to be melodramatic about it and hit the wall. She should be the one mad, after all, he was the one who called her out in front of the entire hall. Nearly everyone had stopped what they were doing and begun to stare. She puffed out a breath, crossing her arms.

"If you think I was going to apologize, you were mistaken," Lilliana snapped, "It was just a little bump, you just had to exaggerate the whole thing and make a big scene." Lilliana had pointed out, gesturing to the crowd of people gawking. "And didn't you notice that you held up the entire sea of students trying to get to wherever they need to be?" Lilliana remarked. How careless this person was. He had interrupted everyone's daily lives because of basically nothing, and he expected her to apologize?

"Oh, wait you look like you have ears. You must a little deaf then, maybe I can shout it extra loud in your ear." They had continued. Lilliana straightened her back, standing taller than she actually was. She was already taller than him, which was pleasantly surprising to the girl because she fell on the shorter side. She had noticed they stepped closer to her. An attempt of intimation? Sure, they looked serious, but she had the advantage for once. Height. She took a step closer to them as well, looking down at him with a slight smirk building on her face.

"Honestly, I think you and your sensitive skin should apologize," Lilliana remarked, with more confidence now. She smiled crudely at them. "Go on, now, say you're sorry and the rest of us can move on and have a peaceful day," Lilliana said, stretching her arms out, and looking at her nails, waiting for his response. She doubted he was going to apologize, especially after the snide remarks she had thrown back at him, but, she had to admit, it was a little entertaining when people got frustrated over stuff.

The girl stared at Joseph. Was that supposed to intimidate him?
"What's your name even." asked the girl in a bored tone obviously not caring, which made to infuriate Joseph even more.
"My name is Joseph Dunn. Now what's your name? If you don't want to tell me it's ok, I understand, I'll just keep calling you blondey." replied Joseph coldly.
"If you think I was going to apologize, you were mistaken, she snapped crossing her arms.
"It was just a little bump, you just had to exaggerate the whole thing and make a big scene. And didn't you notice that you held up the entire sea of students trying to get to wherever they need to be?" continued the girl.
Joseph looked behind him and sure enough a sea of people had stopped. He looked to his left there was still some space to his left but only a slither. He ignored the last sentence thrown at him.
"I'm being dramatic? More like you should look where you're going." retorted Joseph.
Sure, the girl was much taller than him, but he wasn't about to go down without a fight.
""Honestly, I think you and your sensitive skin should apologize," remarked the girl.
"Go on, now, say you're sorry and the rest of us can move on and have a peaceful day," she continued spreading her arms out.
"Why the bloody hell should I apologize? I'm the one that got pushed into the wall."
Joseph was already frustrated enough and just that was enough to make him explode. Without thinking he swung his face at the girl's smiling face. Even though this might get him in detention, he didn't care.

───── Lilliana had to admit, it was kind of amusing to watch as the other Slytherin got frustrated. A hint of a smile played on her lips, and her eyes had a mischievous glint in them, despite her stance giving off the impression she was very uninterested in this conversation. Gazing down at them, she sighed loudly, giving them a slight shake of her head before rolling her eyes. The fact that she was taller gave her a confidence boost. She wasn't used to this feeling, looking downwards at someone, and rather liked it.

They introduced themselves as Joesph Dunn and asked her for her name. “It's Lilliana. Lilliana Havenmore.” She replied swiftly, “Admiring my hair, now are you?” She said, swishing her hair elegantly and winking. There were instances when she wished her hair was a different color, a nice dark shade of brown, perhaps! Oftentimes people didn't take what she said seriously, because of her hair and delicate allure. Yet she still liked her hair~ it was a weapon in many ways, paired perfectly with her sharp tongue.

She smirked as he glanced behind himself, to where, as she had pointed out, a crowd full of students had stopped to stare at them. Neither of the two first years had bothered to lower their voice, that was evident. But he was the one to start it, who even cared about a tiny bump? Joseph was persistent, she'd give him that. But about something so petty like this? It was beginning to get Lilliana irritated, and as much as she made an effort to hide it, it was still apparent that they were getting on her nerves.

"I'm being dramatic? More like you should look where you're going." That still didn't justify the fact that he had stopped the flow of students just to prove a point. Jospeh’s just vying for attention at this point... Lilliana told herself. She bit her lip hard. It wasn't even that big of a deal! All it took was a nudge to get them to whine, it seemed. Perhaps she could have watched where she was going better, being more cautious next time. But what happened next erased all her remorseful thoughts.

Suddenly, she watched as their face was red, an expression a mix of anger and pure rage overcoming their face. She didn't see it coming until it was too late. She didn't notice him balling his hand, taking his arm back before plowing forward at high speed. Right towards her face. Wincing slightly, her eyes beginning to enlarge, but it didn't quite get to the size she was aiming for, because his fist had made contact with her face.

Alright, that had hurt. Very much so. The area that had gotten the full blow was her nose. It felt crooked. Slightly moist. Something seemed to be dripping from her nose a little. Very slowly, Lilliana lifted two of her fingers up and gingerly touched the damp part of her face. She started at the substance that was on her fingers. Bright red, and slightly gooey. Definitely blood. The sight of her blood seemed to snap her out of a trance she was beginning to get pulled into. Lilliana briskly struck Joseph hard across the face.

Soon enough, the first year discerned what she had done, her eyes enlargening. What if there was a prefect among the sea of students that had gathered? Gulping, Lilliana weighed her options. Standing her ground would show some nerve, though it was risky. It wouldn't be long until someone in charge came along, and the rest of the students would be pointing fingers at her. Biting her lip, Lilliana turned on her heel and began to dash out of the hall, not daring to look over her shoulder.
