Anastasia grinned and nodded at the girl's words. That was exactly what she thought about it. Her parents had said that the idea of shooting stars having the ability to grant wishes was rather silly, especially when you considered the fact that there really wasn't any proof. Anastasia had nodded when they said that, but she still held out. After all, what harm did believing in something ever do? Anyway, she'd heard that Muggles thought that someone traveling by flying on a broom was outlandish and silly, and for Anastasia, it was a fact of life.
"I like Gryffindor far more than I expected to. Although, I'm not certain that having a house full of the students with the worst impulse control is the best idea," Anastasia replied. She generally had decent impulse control, but even she'd been known to do some rather dangerous things simply because she dove into it head first. Not often, but the instances she could think of were rather extreme. One example was when she had been eight and playing Quidditch with some friends, she jumped off her broom, which had been rather high up in the air, to get the Snitch. "I was actually expecting to be in Slytherin My family has been Slytherin particularly since forever, so my placement in Gryffindor was a bit of a surprise. What about you? Were you expecting to be in Slytherin?"

Helen laughed at the girl's dry opinion of a group of teenagers without impulse control living together. She supposed that the Houses gave students the chance to mingle with other people that have something in common, but she was sure that eventually she would get irritated by constantly having to deal with others that had the same personality traits. The constant mind games in Slytherin were bad enough, but she couldn't imagine interacting with the rowdy Gryffindors on a daily basis. Then again, Ana seemed to be the complete opposite of rowdy.
Looking at the Gryffindor now, she wasn't surprised to learn that she was raised by Slytherins. Her refined poise and speech reflected the older students in Slytherin. Momentarily, she ponders the reactions of her parents' when she was Sorted to Gryffindor, but she waved the concern away. The girl didn't seem that upset, and it wasn't really any of her business anyway. "I wasn't really sure what to expect," she admitted. "My mother was a Slytherin, and my father a Hufflepuff, but I was mostly raised by my nanny, and she was a Ravenclaw. Slytherin wasn't terribly surprising, but I guess it wasn't what I was expecting to be put in."

Anastasia turned to reply to Helen but stopped as the class began. Surprisingly, the class whizzed by, and before she knew it, had ended. Despite the late hour, she'd quite enjoyed the class. She started to pack up her things as she looked back at her deskmate. "What'd you think of the class? I found it most instructive," she asked the Slytherin as she put away her quills. Now that class was over, she was hit by a wave of exhaustion. She was normally a morning person, so being up at midnight was going to be a bit of an adjustment for her.
As she waited for a reply, she let out a yawn and sheepishly covered her mouth. She could almost picture her soft, warm bed calling her. She just needed to stay awake for the next few minutes to get back to the dorms. She resisted the urge to rub her eyes since that would only make her want to sleep more. Anyways, rubbing one's eyes was most childish and improper, so she wouldn't have done it.
She fastened her satchel and shouldered it, then looked around the classroom to see if the rest of the Gryffindors were ready to head back yet.
