Avery's Speech
· || ──────────────────────────────────── || ·
┏ ┓-----M onday had arrived, the day in which the note had requested. He didn’t know what awaited him, if anything, but he was certainly up for trying.
Avery elected to try the tower in the break between the morning and afternoon classes, hoping that it would appear pretty normal to be in the Astronomy tower at that time. Although he might have fancied the idea of a late night snoop, he wasn’t going to break curfew for something that he suspected was highly likely to blow up in his face anyway. So instead of turning to the hall for lunch, he carried on, up through the grand staircase to begin the climb.
He seemed to be the first one there, which was to be expected, and he even had an excuse ready for if he was caught by a professor or prefect; he had already eaten lunch and was trying to see if he could spot any Hippogriffs that he had heard some older students talking about. – It sounded, at least to him, like an infallible excuse.
His hand traced some of the cold metal struts that held up the various lenses and telescopes, wheeling around the upper platform to find an opportune spot in the shadows; a place where he could potentially see someone climbing the stairs before they could see him. Lying in wait like a viper was useful, both to suss out who was approaching; and it served as a decent obscured spot to observe if the notemaker and another Avery were to discuss; perhaps three was gossip to be had. It wasn’t an option to not learn what this note was about, especially since Raizel was the one to deliver the note; he felt like he owed her some kind of answer at least…

The Passing Of The Note
Clark coughed. He felt like his tongue got stuck in his throat. Perhaps today he should go up to the Astronomy tower and meet whoever the hell this "Avery" was that the whole Ostara note was about. Seriously though, what the hell was the big deal about the note/letter that Clark had to desperately find Avery?
But then again... he was compensated for his time- with a hundred chocolate frogs.
So, he better be a damn good messenger.
Clark went up the staircases from the Huffle Dorms, and found himself at the top, looking down at the ground. He knew if he were caught- he'd get in trouble- but who the hell cared? Clark was a troublemaker through and through- it was like an addiction that he couldn't quit.
But then he took a step down from the top, and entered the classroom- and spotted a boy- with dark brown hair. "Hey, dude, who the fuck are you?" He really hoped it wasn't a prefect- they seemed to be younger than they should've been to become a prefect- one to monitor the halls and enforce the rules.
"How do you feel about- Ostara?" He said, hoping that he'd maybe know at least a little bit about what was happening- before throwing himself onto the ground with his hand grasping the letter.

┏ ┓-----E bony eyes shifted across the space to the boy that had nonchalantly strutted in, and cursed at him.
Avery couldn’t help but laugh out loud, it wasn’t a common occurrence that someone would address him thus, and it was rather amusing that it came from this tiny rendition of a boy.
“I could ask you the same question. But in the hopes of being transparent..” He gave, as he kicked off of the wall, emerging from the shadows of the edge of the room. “Avery Leveret is who the fuck I am, and I don’t feel a fucking thing about an ‘Ostara’.” He said rather bluntly, the venom rolling around his tongue as he took stock of the boy opposite.
After spotting another letter in Clark’s hand, his attitude changed; like that of a fish focused on a baited hook that was being reeled through an expanse of danger.
“So you are the notemaker, classroom wrecker. – I assume there is a reason you went to a decent effort to get my attention? – I am at least assuming it is my attention you wanted.” He said, of course he would assume such, that wasn’t in question.┗ ┛

The Passing Of The Note
@Avery Leveret | @Solomon LearHis eyes went dark in anger. "Did you just- yeah I was looking for you. Get the hell out of my way, and by the way, I hate the fact that Ostara means nothing to you. If spring means nothing, why the hell are you at Hogwarts?" Clark made a pointless- stupid and dumb.. comment that would just likely come across as a bullshit comment if anyone were to hear it.
But before he could do anything- or say anything, Clark pushed himself closer to Avery, and attempted to yank him down- grappling onto his pants and pulling towards him. However, Clark was still on the ground at this point. He slammed his eyes shut, and grappled the letter closer to himself as an attempt to "rescue" or "save" the letter from such a evil jerk.
Why was it for Avery?
Without opening his eyes, he spoke once more. "Yes, I am the notemaker who wrecked classrooms searching for you. I can't say much more than that- except that a weird dude wanted to give you a letter. I read it, and it's about Ostara, so yes, that's why I asked if you gave a goddamn fuck about Ostara. Anyways, it's not like you're intrigued it seems."

┏ ┓-----A very watched as the boy went on some kind of mental spiral, starting to clutch at him, yanking at him and pulling at him. He couldn’t help but try and kick off his advances and raise a hand to indicate to the ‘boy’ that he should certainly stop before he was forced to escalate things.
Once there was a moment of calm, he collected his thoughts with a breath and nodding upwards at Clark, as if to inquire or correct him: “If that note was meant for me, then I would have it. - It is my property, by rights.” He gave, extending his hand as though demanding it from Clark, a challenging flicker in his eyes.
“And if you would, what the hell is Ostara, why does it relate to spring, and to me? – I can’t imagine why, or who would make so much effort in getting this note to me, in such a manner.” He quizzed the boy, hoping to overload him with questions in order to get him to subconsciously hand the letter over as Avery edged closer.
“What’s your name? Did he have a name? Did he say why? Why are you doing it for him, can’t he do it himself? – Are you protecting him?” He gave in his volley, getting closer and closer. He seemed to recognise that Clark was slightly odd, and he hoped to somehow uncover the weak spots in his candour and exploit him for whatever information he could, especially as the plot thickened…┗ ┛

The Passing Of The Note
He opened his eyes, and saw that the dratted rat of a boy wasn't down on the ground, nor was anything else. He grunted with fustration, and forked the letter over. "Just because it was 'meant for you' doesn't mean it was your property in the first place- for instance- I was in possession of it for quite a while- much longer than you. I know exactly what's on it and it literally is just about Ostara, now shut the hell up and read it and just a little information- I won't leave you alone until I get what I want, what I deserve."
He growled at Avery, before drawing back his hands to slap him. If it hit, cool, if it didn't, cool because Clark didn't care and sat himself down.
What he didn't care about was hurting Avery- because Avery was- from first glance- a persecutor- but Clark was more of a crybully.
But without words of knowledge, Clark had to show that he needed to be there- that he was going to stick to the end of the worlds with the hideous boy next to him.
Fuck, why the hell was everyone taller than him. Part goblins aren't THAT short.

┏ ┓-----T he pale boy, practically, hissed at the part-goblin as he came-a-slappin’ at him, just after he had tossed the letter for Avery to grasp and begin reading; wincing and weaving as Clark kept trying to hit him.
“I’m just- listen- Oi!” He gave with a shout then, hoping to buy himself some precious seconds to dust off his uniform, collect himself, straighten the creased up letter and read it; sending Clark a warningful glare beforehand. He knew that he wouldn’t be getting much more use out of the boy, and so had to prioritise this new letter.
“Just give me a second. - I want to know as much as you do.” He said, as he finally started to shift his dark eyes across the handwriting, as a concerned frown knitted his brows and contorted his otherwise unwrinkled forehead.
“Well, firstly; this says Ostera not Ostara, and secondly, half of it is missing.” He gave in observation, as his mind raced over the words and their meaning. Avery didn’t know the significance of any of it, but he knew that understanding it was the next step in the game that was being played.
“Tell me more about this chap and perhaps I’ll let you know what it means.” He said, with a wide grin as though he had learned a dirty little secret that he suspected Clark was dying to know. Avery was not some morally charged individual, he would do what it took to advance his position, to gain the upper hand and ultimately to succeed in his goals; the sorting hat certainly hadn’t blundered. He often skirted with manipulation, and this just seemed like free practice.

The Passing Of The Note
Interacting: @Avery LeveretAnd so- the game began. Clark glared at the boy reading the letter. "Bullshit. It's the same damn thing- also how the hell do you not know what ostara is but know the difference in the spelling between ostera and ostara?"
He winked, but gestured for Avery to come to the top- where he could see the grounds below. The sky was only growing dark, and Clark sure as hell wanted to be outside as of this moment. Why would he stay inside where a prefect could bust him- or a professor could just- kick his arse back into his dormitory?
He had a good reason for being here, but it was also something that could land him in detention under the care of six professors- due to his mess he had caused through his time trying to find Avery.
"This... chap... is a bit... odd. I kept hearing screaming- but no one else reacted- or even acknowledged it- I think I might've been going insane, but this nerd said I was possibly going mad. I don't know what's real or not anymore, and I sure as hell don't want to be busted- so come on, we can talk more, let's just go to the top and hide, perhaps even lock the door/barricade it?"

┏ ┓-----H e couldn’t help but smirk when Clark displayed a bit of sense about him. Avery paused as he weighed up what to do, with regards to the letter and to the gesture to ascend the tower with the peculiar messenger.
Avery went to speak, but just as he lined up his venomous strike, Clark opted to give him a bit more information, and he could only listen. As he did, his face contorted again, a stark display of his jumbled thoughts, there simply seemed too much to consider. Could it be that this boy was insane already? Quite possibly.
“It’s lunch time, I doubt staff will be coming this way. Besides, you’re acting strange.” He teased, though he reluctantly followed.
Answers wouldn’t present themselves, he would have to work for them; and that meant some personal risk. Clark had risked much already, and he would continue to if Avery had his way. It was best to ask much of him, as Avery discovered that in the continuous volley of questioning, Clark would occasionally give him something valuable; so he took aim again…
“So this nerd accosted you, and asked you to deliver this to me? Why would you do that? What do you have to gain? There’s something you’re not telling me…” Avery expressed, with another careful glance that shifted between Clark and the door; before a deep frown stained his countenance like the dark shadow of a cloud. “Are you expecting company? To be caught perhaps? - I don’t need to hide, nor will I, that’s not how the puzzle is solved.” He remarked, as he folded the note and tucked it into one of the inside pockets of his school robe, securing it away and hoping that Clark took the time to offer something to cure his caused confusion.

The Passing Of The Note
@Avery Leveret | @Solomon LearThere is nothing going on inside his head at this moment. Except, for a bunch of words that should not be uttered. He wanted to scream out the entire book on swearwords. But instead went to the one that he knew was bad for the Muggleborn, but he desperately hoped Avery was a Muggleborn. “Mudblood. Shut up none of us care about your life story. Just follow me. I don’t care if it’s lunchtime for everyone. Follow me or fucking die.”
He knew he should’ve not said that, if anyone was over here, he likely would’ve gotten eternity and attention. And his last few detentions, we’re not exactly pleasant. “OK buckaroo, if you really think that we won’t get in trouble. I guess I might as well. Just tell you. Read the damn letter. It just talks about a holiday. Literally, wishing you a happy Ostara. You probably don’t know what the Ostara is, but that’s your fault. I know what it is, but that doesn’t excuse you.”
And, that was Clark’s method that he picked up reading a book. Yes, a book. That might be hard to believe, but it was a book that intrigued him. It was a book that talked about how to intimidate your target. But then he turned around, And stared at one of the telescopes. If he thought he could get away with doing anything, he would scream, bloody murder, until someone came in here. He would make sure that whatever is happening was witnessed. He didn’t trust Avery. Avery seemed a little too… cocky.
