@Rhys ReadDear quill pal,
Exactly.
I would actually have a million sickles and be rich from that. Actually I wouldn’t be rich. I would spend it all on chocolate frogs before I could even think about spending it on something else, or the wise choice, saving it.
Hmm I really don’t know. Rock but not metal. Some pop. But not most of it. I’m pretty picky.

Charlie,
I know what you mean. I spend my allowance all on chocolate frogs, and I have to force myself to stop so I can buy a pet from the Menagerie over easter break. I want to be able to buy whatever pet I choose with my own money, you know? First big decision of my life, and yadda yadda.
Like alternative rock? Beatles/Queen version of rock as opposed to Skillet?
I could never do metal either. Most of my listening is alternative.

Dear quill pal,
exactly. I bought my cat at the beginning of the year, and my mum gave me one galleon which I put towards Zara my cat. She doesn’t need much, just some food, toys and treats. Also a harness which I got for my birthday.
What kind of pet are you going to get?
and yes. Alternative. And I make my own music too. Drums, and sax.
What about you?

Charlie,
I'm honestly not sure. Either an owl, rabbit, or cat. I feel like I'll easily lose anything smaller, and snakes are reserved for parselmouths. Leaning towards either an owl or a cat, but I won't know for sure until I go.
I've dabbled in making my own music with piano a bit, but not so much ukulele. I'm still getting used to chord changes on acoustic, but I've been doing piano for so long that it's like I'm fluent. More fluent than I am with French.
Ooh, do you speak any languages other than English? I get French from my mum's side, though unfortunately I understand more than I can really speak. We don't really speak it at home, unless it's just my mom home with us. Rhain and Rhylee love it but Rhun and my father are less than pleased. They're tossers.

@Rhys ReadDear quill pal,
Nice! Personally I was leaning towards owl, but then I saw Zara and kind of fell in love. No regrets on not getting an owl. The only downside is that if you don’t get an owl you have to go to the owlrey and borrow an owl. That is no problem for me because the Ravenclaw common room is right next to the owlery.
Thats cool! I speak another language too, its Irish! I only use it with my mum even though the language is kind of going exctinct. She knows English too but we enjoy speaking Irish too.

Charlie,
Yeah, I have a bit more of a journey to make to the owlery, but it's alright. I don't mind it, plus I could definitely use the exercise. I'm a bit of a recluse in my free time. I am notorious for hiding away and doing nothing for hours.
Oh, Irish!! That's cool! Yeah, we don't really speak French unless my dad and Rhun aren't around. Rhain loves it, and even when we're not alone with Mum they'll both chat easily in French. But we all have an understanding of it, so we can't exactly gossip about each other when we're all in the same room, haha. Sometimes I wish Rhain and I could do that when we're around Rhun, but as it is, Rhun understands everything (well, to a degree).

Not me listening to the enire newsies soundtrackDear quill pal,
Yeah. Going to the first floor is a pretty big journey for me, but I’ve been seriously working on my speed walking skills. It really comes in handy!
Yeah. I don’t really use Irish anywhere but with mum. I don’t really know anybody else who even knows Irish except my little sister but she doesn’t really count.

Charlie,
Haha, I'll make a mental note not to get in your way whenever you're going from place to place.
Lol, yeah. I'm sure there's plenty of people I've met or had chance encounters with that know French, but it's not like they really jump out at me, you know what I mean?
Spring Court this month... honestly, I think I might dare to hope this ball will go better than the last.

Dear Quill Pal,
Yep. Totally.
I’m kind of anxious about that because I still don’t have a date. I really really want to go but don’t want a repeat. Of either times. If only I could find a guy with common sense and he’s not looking for something serious. Why does it have to be so hard?

Dear Charlie,
I haven't the slightest clue, but I do hope it was better for you this time around.
I apologize for my lateness in getting this reply written. Life has been quite busy as of recent, and I'd be lying if I told you I didn't forget about this...
The end of term is fast approaching, and I feel that with it will come the end of our letters. I must say writing to you has helped me, even if I can't quite explain how. I started the year very closed-off and refused to make any friends, but even over writing it would appear that I don't outright dislike you, haha. I hope the summer treats you well. Perhaps next year we can actually hang out
Bye for now,
--Rhys
p.s. on the back of this parchment is my home address, should you ever need someone to talk to, I'm just an owl away.
