Alright! Damion had been fully obsessed with this young Gryffindor boy Kim Aoki! He had heard from someone, yes he was eavesdropping, that Kim would be in the Greenhouse number one. So despite not liking the subject, as he thought it was well, whatever it was he didn't like the subject period! But he would do anything to be with Kim Aoki.
Damion skipped to the location as soon as he could. Skidding and jumping along the way as he made his way to the Greenhouse. A smile draped across his face as he was sure he would see Kim at any point now. Was he being a stalker? He shrugged as he let the thoughts pass him by.
Damion smiled as he walked into the Greenhouse. For someone who didn't like Herbology, he was sort of sending the wrong vibes. But well he didn't care about it. He wanted to just be with Kim. End of Story.
"Knowing your love for Herbology, it wasn't a wild guess where I would find you." Damion said as he walked into the Greenhouse. Well he had not fallen down in front of Kim that would have been very embarrassing. "How is everything going?" Damion asked. Feeling awkward again. Well think before you say Damion he scolded himself.

| ─── | It was Friday, October 29th, 2021.
He'd just finished Potions class and now had the entire weekend free. Well, other than the fall ball that is. Sophia had been quite excited about the event and had been gushing about it for awhile now. The rest of his friends had also been of a similar mindset. It was only Kim who felt a combination of nervousness, dread and anticipation towards the upcoming event that would take place soon. The fall ball was happening today and he wasn't entirely sure he was ready for it but it would still arrive. Kim didn't have a date but that was because he was still debating over whether or not he wanted to go. It was something he needed to consider.... Large social events were things he tended to avoid at all costs if possible. But in the end, he'd decided to attend because he couldn't miss out on anything that might happen there. Apparently, Hogwarts balls tended to have a certain reputation. They all ended in chaos at some point in time. Kim needed to be there if that happened because he liked being up to date with everything. Everyone was talking about the ball today but that was to be expected as it was taking place later that evening. They'd been talking about it for weeks.... But for now, Kim would try and relax. Before the upcoming explosion of people disturbed him later on down the line. Ah, the joys of balls. A sigh escaped his lips at the thought and he changed into a more comfortable outfit that could afford to get dirty where he intended on going now. He was still dressed all in black, although not in his school robes any longer, and had also grabbed a fashionable black hat. After having selected some cloth bracelets and a black sweat band he took for his left wrist, Kim headed out of the castle and down towards the grounds. Upon reaching his destination, the greenhouse area, he paused for a moment. Which one should he go inside now? Right. The professor had told them during their first lecture that the greenhouses were sorted due to their year. Whatever their year happened to be would correspond with the greenhouse number. They were allowed to enter their current year and any below but were forbidden from going to higher numbers. It was for their safety they were told and although Kim was a secret prankster, he was a selective rule-breaker. He'd only break the rules if the rules didn't make sense. Such as being out after curfew hours. It was way too early. Or visiting Hogsmeade. Kim entered the greenhouse labeled 'one' and let his satchel slip off his shoulder as he placed it down. He'd brought a set of work gloves with him, so his hands didn't get too dirty while taking care of the plants. Picking up a nearby watering can, as he hadn't learned the water spell, Kim made his way through the line of plants and herbs inside greenhouse one. The warmth and humidness of the air wasn't great but Kim didn't mind it as he was used to it, being around plants all the time. Returning to where he'd started, he knelt down and began to water a clump of plants in front of him. That was a familiar voice from behind him was heard.... Kim looked behind his shoulder to spot Damion standing there and his lips curved into what could have been a slight smile. When he wanted to smile, it came out as a mangled, frightening, intimidating look. But when he didn't think about it, he had a really nice smile. Right now, it was almost a combination of both. The two of them hadn't really had a great first meeting, it had been an awkward one. But over time, as they kept seeing eachother, things had gotten better between them. Now, they actually got along pretty well, for now... Damion still sometimes felt awkward with him. But he wasn't bad when he got started on some kind of topic. Kim looked up at the older boy for a moment. "We gotta stop meeting like this, Damion! People are going to think there's something going on with us!" Kim teased him a little. He felt more at ease with him after having seen him multiple times since their first meeting, and although there was still some awkwardness at times, it was much better now. "I'm just watering the plants, as you can see." Kim told him, nodding down at the watering can he was still holding and looked back up at Damion again. "What did you need?" The boy asked him, curious. |

Damion was charmed by the younger Gryffindor boy, Kim Aoki. And he had met with him a couple of times by now. He had never been mesmerized by someone else that way. He was not sure what these feelings meant. Anyways, now that his class was done he made his way to the Greenhouses, after hearing from someone that Kim was there. He would do anything to be with Kim or spend some time with the younger Gryffindor boy. He shook his head as he let the thoughts pass him by. It was too early to say what this was to be honest and he didn’t want to label something this early. A part of him didn’t want to be hurt and it was alright that he was scared to open his heart up this way, so soon after meeting the younger Gryffindor boy.
Damion was hoping that his bad day at the Charms class would be forgotten. He had messed up and said the wrong wand movement. He meant to say something else and he had messed up. He had made a fool of himself. Well mistakes happen. He was still learning about things. He was not sure what he could do to make sure that he didn’t make mistakes. Well he could take notes and have it in written form now couldn’t he? He could try doing that. He looked at the Greenhouses in front of him and made his way to them shaking his head to forget the mistakes he had made. He was not going to let his mistakes keep him from learning.
Damion was going to let himself enjoy this time that he had. He didn’t want to think about how shitty his day had been. He was going to enjoy it despite the mistakes he had made. He let his hand through his hair and looked at the Greenhouse in front of him. He walked through the doors of the Greenhouse. Any minute now, he would see the Young Gryffindor boy he was crushing on so hard. He wanted to spend as much time as he could with Kim Aoki. He was just trying to be friendly and it was nothing else. He was not going to say that they were more than friends for now. He was just trying to be a good friend to Kim. And was hoping that Kim would feel welcomed in this new school.
Damion didn’t like Herbology. But he had paid attention to what the professor was saying about the Greenhouses. He didn’t want to end up in one where the plants were dangerous. He would not want to end up in a hospital wing. So he would only go till Greenhouse Three. Which meant he could go through the first three. He wouldn’t go any further to be honest. He looked at the one which had the number one written. He wanted to be safe and wanted to spend some time with Kim.
Damion had not brought any gloves or anything. He was not planning to do anything. He was hoping to spend some time with Kim, irrespective of what they did. Or what they didn’t do. He was trying to be a good friend. He was a third year and Kim was just starting his First year. Yeah Kim was two years younger to him. He was not going to let that keep him from making a bond with the younger Gryffindor. He smiled as he walked inside the Greenhouse. He was happy that he had listened to what the person who had given him the hint about where Kim was.
Damion had a smile on his face as he walked into the Greenhouse and spoke. He was a little nervous as he had messed up a little earlier. He didn’t want to make the same mistakes again. But he was sure he wouldn’t do that. Well it was easier said than done. He looked at him and noted that his smile was not something that you could say was a smile. But he didn’t pay much attention to that. He was happy to be here. He was glad that his first awkward meet had not pushed the younger boy away. He never wanted his first meet to go that way. But well when he was a little nervous he would stumble on his words and say things that he had already said like he remembered that he had welcomed Kim to Hogwarts twice.
Damion was still doing things that could make him feel awkward. He looked at Kim as he let those thoughts pass him by. He raised his eyebrow and said "Oh really?" He said. Wow Damion! Could you get weirder? He let that thought pass him by. "That’s the people’s issues. Not yours or mine." He said. He was not going to let what people say, keep him from meeting Kim or spending time with the younger Gryffindor boy. He slapped himself in his mind. Duh! He could see that Kim was watering the plants. Way to go Damion! He scolded himself. "Why do you think I need something?" He asked curiously. He was not meaning to sound off balance or rude. He was genuinely curious. "Are you planning on going to the Fall Ball?" He asked. It was not something that he needed as Kim had asked. It was just a question about the event that was happening or well was going to happen tonight.

Kim was oblivious as to how the older year felt about him and thought it was simple upperclassman interest. Although they'd had a rocky start, things had become more comfortable between them over the past month. They weren't really 'close' so to speak but at least they weren't strangers or awkward like they'd been when they'd first met eachother. Damion's response to his teasing made Kim smirk at his words. Could the boy not realize he'd been teasing him? It seemed as if he was responding in a serious manner, as if he hadn't gotten the joke. "Mm. True." He replied, deciding to respond in a serious way too. It was better this way, anyway. Kim didn't want to embarrass Damion, by telling him he'd been joking earlier. Therefore, the only logical reaction was to pretend he'd been serious! As Damion spoke again, asking why he thought he needed something, Kim raised a brow. Didn't he? "Uh, it doesn't look like you came to the greenhouse to take care of the plants and herbs like me. So, I naturally assumed you came because you needed something?" He asked, telling him about how his mind processed Damion's presence inside here. The boy then drew his attention towards the fall ball. And Kim nodded. "Mm. I plan on going, if only to see what is going to happen at it." He told him. "I hear all Hogwarts balls are chaotic and things always happen at them. You've been around for awhile, is this true?" Kim asked, curious. "Are you going too?" He asked Damion. |

Damion was falling in love with Kim or well was developing a crush on the younger boy. He was not sure which one was it. He was definitely falling for Kim. But he was not sure if what he felt was really love. He was not sure of anything. But he was still going to let the feeling for Kim be a mystery for now. He was developing a crush was something that he could say for sure. Damion looked at him not understanding that Kim was teasing him. He nodded his head hearing what Kim was saying. What else could he say about it now? There was nothing more to say about what Kim had said.
Damion looked at him and smiled. He was not sure what gave him away that he had something that he needed from Kim. Oh right! He didn’t like Herbology much. So it was no secret why he was there. He looked at him and smiled. "Nicely deduced Kim." Damion said looking at him. He was not going to let Kim know that he was sort of following him. He didn’t want to come across as a stalker. He would not call himself that.
Damion looked at him again and smiled. "I see." Damion said when he heard that Kim was planning on going to the Ball. "Yeah well it sort of is. I had been in one where it ended up being very chaotic." Damion said. He didn’t remember what had happened. "I think so." Damion said. He was not sure of he was going to go or not.

Damion had only responded to his earlier questions, not asking any of his own, so it was kind of awkward. Kim wasn't the type of person who liked small talk and didn't tend to start up conversations with others. Not unless he was the one in charge of a club, was a co-leader of a club, or it had to do with sweets and food in general. Sometimes he'd talk about classes and homework, or his interests and hobbies but that was a rare occurrence. This was the definition of awkwardness, especially considering Damion didn't like herbs, plants or Herbology either. The older boy also hadn't answered his question about what he was doing in here now... Maybe he'd been wrong and they were still awkward with eachother. But perhaps only on Damion's part? Kim got to his feet, the watering can still being held in his left hand, and tried to smile. It was hard though because he wasn't used to smiling at all and he didn't even know if he could do it. "Well, I'm going to go water the plants in the back. If you go to the ball, maybe I'll see you there!" Kim told him and then disappeared behind a row of plants and herbs. If Damion wished to follow, he could follow of course..... But hopefully he'd have more to say to him if that was the case. More to do than just linger with nothing to say because that was a little awkward for both of them. |

Damion had not thought much about what he was saying. Something about being with Kim kept him distracted. He was crushing on the younger Gryffindor boy. He didn’t want to sound too dumb. He usually did dumb things when he was around Kim. And lately that had increased. Was something changing with Damion? Damion was not sure about it himself. He was feeling something that he had never felt before. He couldn’t deny the feelings that he had for the younger boy. He shook his head gently and hoped that Kim wouldn’t have seen that. He didn’t want Kim to notice this or notice his habits. Damion was following Kim around otherwise he wouldn’t have come to a place where he knew didn’t like being in. Herbology was a subject that he didn’t very much like.
It might seemed that Damion had gotten a little awkward again. Well he liked the boy and that made him do things that didn’t make complete sense. Like him being in the Greenhouse despite not wanting to be involved in doing something about the plants. He was only there because he wanted to spend sometime with the guy he was crushing. Kim Aoki! He smiled. He looked at Kim and nodded his head. "See ya Kim." Damion said waving at his friend before he walked away from the Greenhouse. He didn’t want to be there anymore. Not that he didn’t want to be with Kim but it seemed that Kim was a little busy and he didn’t want to be in Kim’s way.
