Dear Rhain,
Hi! I would adore coming to Rhys birthday party! Though I wish I would have had an earlier heads up as I now have very little time to prepare! We should theme the party to something Rhys likes. (Now as to what that is is a mystery to me as well!) I'm sure you have everything figured out, as it stands, I can bake and decorate the cake! I'm super excited!

Thanks for bringing this up and inviting me. I would love to help set this party up for Rhys,
gotta love that lion. I'll have to do some shopping for some gifts, so let me know what Rhys likes. We haven't chatted too much for me to know just yet. Also, since this is a surprise how should we go about the actual surprise? We would need a good reason as to why we would lead Rhys into the room without them getting suspicious. After all, its around their birthday and they should catch on it we arent careful. Also, decorations and snacks! The most important parts, how will we be getting those? Id be happy to buy the decorations or buy snacks from hogsmeade! Or if we have a 3rd year who doesnt need to sneak in (we dont wanna land a detention on the day of the party) i say we all contribute some money and give it to them so they can buy it instead! But again, whatever works is fine with me. Just let me know.

Answering questions thus far:

Bailey Glade has asked if there is a theme, and Azrael Faire has suggested something Rhys likes. But doing a "book" or "art" theme seems altogether too simple.

Regarding gifts, Rhys is a huge bookworm and also has a record player, so either books or vinyls would really tickle their fancy haha! As for dress code, I'm not really picky but it'd be hilarious if we did like, a really extravagant dress code for absolutely no reason and Rhys would be the ONLY ONE underdressed (insert a keyboard slam, because I miss my laptop at times like these)

Also Rhys definitely loves food, so even if you can't really find something less edible, always count on literally anything from Honeydukes, or even muggle chocolates (man are they really homesick, ngl). Even if milk products severely disrupt their digestive system, Rhys is chronically addicted to anything involving chocolate and dairy that's sweet. Also regarding food, how about everyone try to bring one food item? ALSO LET ME KNOW OF ANY AND ALL ALLERGIES NOW! Because Rhys is a sucker for king crab and I was going to harass my father into sending the funds to achieve it.

Designated delivery pets have been rewarded for their hard work. Also reward the school owl I've been utilizing? Poor thing has so many copies to deliver. It's basically Oprah Winfrey. (Wing-frey?)

I heard you wanted to sample my creations and will be attending your surprise birthday celebration for your brother. For outfits, I believe it should be fashionable but not overly dressed up like at balls. This way it will give others a chance to dress in a variety of different ways but not need to write home for a fancy outfit they may not have or be able to afford. The ballroom is a great place to hold a party like this. But at the same time, holding it outdoors also has its perks. I suppose it would depend upon whether you think Rhys would prefer being outside or inside at the time. And of course, it would depend upon the weather that particular day too. I have not yet met either of you but am curious to find out what the party will be like. I wish you luck in this venture and hopefully will see you there at the party!

I'm not familiar with Rhys, I don't think we've ever met before? I assume he's one of the first years from this year? I believe I did receive an invite, although I was uncertain as to why, since I know neither of them. However, it makes sense if it's as you say it is. I would have declined to participate in this event, as you know I'm not very social when it comes to things outside of clubs and classes. But if Rhain wishes to sample my creations so much, I suppose I have no choice but to come. If you wish, you can come meet me outside of Gryffindor Tower, and help me bring the dishes to the location later. See you in class.

Hey, Rhain, thanks for the owl, I didn't know Rhys'a birthday was so soon! I'd love to come and celebrate Rhys's birthday! I know Rhys isn't exactly a social butterfly but I'm sure they'll love it.
