As Argahlon had knocked over Alana into the chilly cool lake water the young fiery red haired girl started to stand up her robes were sobbing wet her fiery hair had water ringlets dripping gently onto the lake's water. Alana trudged out of the water wringing out her robes sleeves. The young fiery red haired girl glanced up towards her friends smiling sweetly. The young girl noted Avorra's presence and smiled sweetly.

"My name's Alana pleasure to meet you Avorra!"

Alana spoke in a sweet tone as the young girl noted that everyone seemed to start surrounding a little campfire that was made. Alana sat down trying to warm up from the very chilly lake water. Though Alana was not mad at Argahlon for knocking her in she did seem a bit frigid cold to the touch due to the icy water that seemed to clung to her sun-kissed tone skin. The fiery red haired girl held her hands out to the fire humming softly her sea-foam blue teal eyes gazed around looking at her small group of friends a small planted itself on her face.

Glancing up towards the sky Alana watch the clouds move sluggishly by her mind was lost in thought as she hummed to herself quietly.

Avorra tried her absolute hardest not to laugh at the scene before her. She felt bad, yes, but the scene was so silly it almost came out of a book. The moment Raizel made her comment, Avorra broke and immediately snickered. It was a rather quiet snicker as she tried to stifle it, not wanting to offend anyone. Even when she calmed her nerves, the corners of her lips twitched as she failed to fight off a sly smirk. At least she wasn't grinning.

"Certainly interesting, Raizel." Now she was grinning. As she made her way to the new campfire, she smiled at Alana and Arghalon. "A pleasure to meet you both as well. I apologize for my intrusion, I didn't mean to frighten anyone." The glow of the fire danced on her pale skin and purple shirt, the radiating warmth soothing her. She was almost tempted to release her glowing ivory hair from the tight braid running down her spine.

"Great job on the campfire, Ying!" Avorra said, her attention drawn into the campfire as she stared intensely into the flames. She always had a weird fascination with fire; gazing into it always set her into a daze, calming her nerves and soothing her senses. She could get lost for hours just by staring into a crackling fireplace. Oddly enough, beyond Hogwarts and home, the place where she felt safest was always next to a fire, whether in a camp or in a chimney.

"The Fire-Making Spell has such an odd charm to it." She said with a smile, her emerald eyes lost to the bedazzling flames.

Argahlon was soaked from head to toe and cold to top it all off. The shivers from his body were the only thing keeping him warm at the moment. At the sight of fire coming from Ying’s wand it caused the young redhead to smile wide and move over close to the fire. β€œYou really are the best, Ying!” He spoke softly, while leaning down closer to the fire and putting his hands near as well. The warmth instantly sent another set of chills down his spine, but this time it was from the sensation of his fingers thawing from the heat of the fire.

As Avorra spoke and apologized to them, Arg couldn’t help but to chuckle and look up at the pale girl. β€œAlmost scared me right out of my shoes.” He laughed it off and glanced over at the black robe in the grass. It was then when he remembered about the cookies he stashed away. He quickly walked over and rummaged through the pockets until wet, soggy crumbs stuck to his fingers. β€œAww, yuck! That is just foul!” Arg tossed the robe on the ground, then walked over to the lake, and washed away the crumbs in the water.

Once the red haired boy made it back over to the small campfire with his friends, he sighed heavily before glancing back at the robe. β€œI did bring cookies for everyone, but yeaah. The water kind of ruined that for us.” He sobbed for a moment, before putting his hands closer to the fire. There was always food inside the castle, but Argahlon absolutely loved his snacks for times like this.

The fire warmth was comforting, Ying found herself feeling goosebumps with the difference of temperature and the nice embrace spread by the orange and yellow flames. Crossing her legs, she sat on the ground allowing herself to enjoy of her friends company. With the book in her lap, she took a deep breath as she leaned back on her hands, her eyes focused on the horizon, in those deep and dark waters forming the Great Lake. She wondered about the creatures that she would find living in its depths, how would they live in cold and darkness, what kind of rational creature would choose to sped its life in there...

Her attention only changed back to her friends when Avorra's voice entered her mind with a mysterious tone in it, "The Fire-Making Spell has such an odd charm to it." She said. Ying felt a shiver run down her spine, somehow and for some reason those words stuck in her heart, like the strangest of comforts. If she was to be honest at that moment she would had agreed to it and added so many things that, for her, represented a the concept of an odd charm. All magic, for to say, was for her charming, seductive and a mystery to be solved and conquered. It was more then an ambition, it was like water when you are thirsty, it was a need, a must to survive, to fulfill her goals and exceed her own expectations. Where her friends like her? Do they also aimed for being the best? Were they expected to, by their families and by themselves? "I have a question...that may sound weird, but...what do you guys feel that you can't miss here at Hogwarts?" She asked looking to the crackling and dancing fire, "I know...I want to try a little of every challenge!" She admitted a small smile appearing in her rosy lips when she raised her eyes to look at the group of people around her, people that she expected to be her people during the next six/seven years, "And I know I have to grade from Hogwarts leaving my family proud and most importantly...myself proud and with no regrets!" She said now her smile being more palpable, her dark eyes twinkling with the flames reflected in their warm color, "What do you guys want to really do? Being a chaser? Be the duelling champion? Master a subject?" She asked finishing with a small chuckle, "Sorry if I'm being to odd!" She apologized now feeling her cheeks getting warmer when a pink color graced her ivory and delicate features.

"It's cool." Raizel assured Avorra. Not like the girl is intruding in this small gathering of theirs. They are just here to enjoy the afternoon this weekend before they all go back to classes and she doesn't mind more company at the moment. For sure, they'll have lots of work once again. She didn't mind some of those homework although there are certain subjects that she doesn't like that much and receiving homework to do from those will, like any other students, make her groan in disappointment and slight annoyance. She won't say she's the most diligent student here, she has her own lazy moments and there are times that she even does homework at the last second. Despite that, her grades are good enough for her to pass. There are still subjects that she takes seriously and she'll definitely won't forgive herself if she failed those.

As those thoughts ran in her mind, she watched the crackling fire of the campfire that Ying made and her friends warming themselves near it. It was warm and hopefully, warm enough to dry the clothes of the two. It gets a bit chilly and she sure doesn't want them catching a cold. She glanced back at her bag, picking it up. "I almost forgot, I brought food with me. It's not that much." The girl pulled out a lumped parchment and opened it up, revealing a couple of muffins that she took from the Great Hall earlier. She offered it to the others before glancing at Ying, her question catching her attention.

It was an odd question indeed, but it did make her realize that her goal here while in Hogwarts was kind of… wasn't that clear. After receiving her letter, she was excited. Why? Because she will be going to a magic school and learning spells, especially charms and DADA. That's right, those are her goals. "I guess for me, I'd like to learn spells. Charms and the spells they teach you in DADA." Raizel answered, her eyes on the lake just in front of them, thinking about some more. "I think I'd also like to do some thrilling stuff, sports. Dueling and Broom Racing, those look so fun." There was a grin on her face when she told them that. Just the thought of the challenge those two bring, the danger, the clashing of spells, excites her. "For now, I'd like to get into the dueling team, get into the sports, and learn more from there. I think that'll give me experience in facing off against other people while fighting with spells. Maybe then, I could follow my dad's footsteps and help him with his work as an Auror. Not to mention, when danger comes to any of my friends or family, then I'll be ready to defend them." The last one was probably too big of a goal for a first year student but it's there and she is determined for it. Protecting those that she cares about, that'd be lovely. She doesn't want to lose them after all.
