Though somewhat contradictory, the second year's answers none-the-less began to paint a clearer picture for him:

"Yeah, there is. These don't end well. Ever."

"No, not really. We're all as clueless as you, I imagine. But let's just say that we've learnt a lot from our first year at Hogwarts..."

Something definitely happened the last time the last time they went on one of these, but before he could ask any more, Laila cut in, assuring him that it was nothing more than a joke. He turned to give her a doubtful expression, but didn't say anything. Some people were just born optimists. By nature, he was probably more of a pessimist (maybe a bit of a nihilist, but never mind that..)

"Don't worry, it will be fine," Serena tried to reassure him, though he only tilted his head at her doubtfully. He glanced back at Howard and Reid, hoping one of them would elaborate. He knew they were probably just trying to avoid freaking them out, but surely it was better to know? He didn't want to be told everything would be fine when everyone was acting like they were going somewhere to die. "Arthur.. " he replied to Serena's greeting, sighing defeatedly. If the second years were going to insist on being cagey about it, there was really nothing he could do.

Meanwhile, Laila was still talking to the other second year girl; "Hey, are you thirsty or something? You seem a little tired I don't blame you. I wake up early some days and.."

"Uh! I- I think what she means is that we're all a little tired." he tried to cut in quickly, waving his hands. Though he was sure she meant well, telling someone they looked tired could be considered pretty rude. Besides, he was hoping he could talk to Dorothy more. Of all the older students, she seemed the most likely to tell them the truth. He could see the other side of the argument though. Some people would rather not know, and not be dragged down by the past, so he wouldn't ask her while Laila was still around.

In any case, by now, the door to the next compartment had opened, and Arthur turned his attnetion back to that. At least, what he thought was the next compartment. Instead, what looked like a hotel room made of sand was what greeted them one carriage over. "Oh wow!" Ominous overtures aside, when he saw the sand room, decorated with castles formed straight out of the floor, his face lit up like the kids they weren't so far away from being. "Hey, cool! It really is a sandcastle!" he said, looking back at them with an excited grin as he moved away from the door to allow others see past him.

"Well Brannigan certainly get a kick outta this place would't he?" Quinn said aloud, eyes wide in both astonishment and pure amazement. A room full of ice...imagine that. Looking around Quinn was beginning to realize that he was in face not just surrounded by the group of red heads he had mostly befriended name one, but by all girls no less.

It was a bit funny how things turned out really, he would need to note down the intricacies of the room later. Something didn't feel right about the whole thing. What did Brannigan call it...right his gut. He just had an all around bad feeling, but luckily his fear of water only related to the liquid form and not its solid form.

For once Quinn was glad that he preferred to stay in warmer clothes given the weather as of late. Especially since they would be staying in a literal room of ice, that was way bigger on the inside then any train car had a right to be. Dressed in his dark blue jeans, black boots and heavy black hoodie that had in dark green texts. 'So Irish my liver hurts', he found the phrase funny and knew for the most part what it meant. To be honest he was surprised his parents let him get the funny hoodie at all.

To keep his mess of long curls tamed and head warm he had on his gray wool skull cap. The tufts of his fiery red hair coming through just a bit, but most of it completely covered by the thing. Perhaps he was a bit overdressed but hey he liked his warm clothes. Taking the first steps in after the girl Marian walked in. He got an even better view of the room. Oh yes Quinn would definitely be investigating this place.

He lugged his suitcase behind him, the heavy thing dragging on the slick for. "Careful not to slip. Wouldn't want anyone to bust their bums." He chuckled at that funny little thought. If anyone was gonna slip it would certainly be the clumsy, and energetic red head that was Quinn Ignatius Healy.

Action: Step into the room with the crowd and also inspect the room.

To fear the unknown is to fear progress, don't shy away from it. Embrace it and discover something new.

It really is a sandcastle!" he said, looking back at them with an excited grin as he moved away from the door to allow others see past him.

Turning back to inspect the entrance, Arthur was impressed by whatever magic it was that opened the doorway. That sure was a neat trick. He wondered whether the portal would remain open like this, or if it was a one-way trip. He frowned at the door cautiously before stepping through. All the danger talk had given him D&D vibes like they needed to check for traps (although a detect magic spell would light this place up), but...

"This is still a field trip right?" he asked. "I mean, something dangerous could happen, but it’s not like they’re trying to hurt us?" In which case there was no reason to think that the door would be boobytrapped. In a school of moving staircases with no railings and forbidden woods filled with deadly creatures, it didn’t really surprise him that their field trips might often end up with someone getting hurt. But that alone wasn't a reason to think they would again this time, necessarily.

Since an answer was not immediately forthcoming (he was mostly talking to himself anyway) Arthur went ahead and stepped through the threshold and onto the sand floor of the next room. He was wearing just a T-shirt and jeans with his sneakers, so while the room next-door was hot, it wasn’t intolerable to him. The bed, the table, and much of the furniture appeared to be made of sand as well. He looked up at the ceiling, also sand.

Suddenly, the ominous tone of the riddle had him worried. Buried beneath I am deadly... He recalled how sandcastles, when dry, were apt to fall apart at any given moment. “Do you think this place is structurally sound?” he said, once again asking the question probably no one wanted to think about.

Personally, he was somewhat keen to find a door now... With any luck there would be a beach outside anyway.
Go through door to sand room. Look around.

Howie reached out, placing his hand on the door handle. His fingers would jerk back instinctively as it felt almost hot to the touch. However the slight pressure he had applied would cause the  door to swing forward. He squinted as a rush of warm air brushed across his face, the sight before him was the last he had expected. All of his “The Little Mermaid” fantasies were coming true as he stepped into the life sized sand castle.

He couldn’t help but smile. His glum mood temporarily subsiding as he took in the wonder. As much as magic scared him sometimes, no...terrified him, it was moments like this that would always take his breathe away. If only the mysterious force that flowed through his blood, through all thier blood, could be used for only lovely things like this. But, it could not be of course, for the world works in balance. The positive must have a negative, or neither could exist. His smile faded. When magic goes negative, people get hurt.

Howie was being rude, but he couldn’t force himself to put on a fake grin and make small talk with his fellow Huffles. He ignored them and moved forward. Hopefully he wouldn’t gain a poor reputation, but he wasn’t there for friendship or a good time. He was there bear witness.

Howie moved towards a passageway at the other end of the room. He removed his robes and draped them over his rolling suitcase as it was too warm to keep them on. He stuffed his wand in his pocket and started off.
Action: Enter sand castle room and then proceed down the passageway.

{ Talks to Arthur + Howard }
Serena nodded as Arthur gave his name. He looked worried, still. Perhaps he had ever right to be. But she was hoping that they were wrong. This time would be different. Surely. "First year?" She asked Arthur, deciding to confirm this as she was not one hundred percent sure. Perhaps she just missed him last year. "I guess this is your first trip?" She asked hesitantly. She really did hope that this year, it was different. Surely. This time they weren't in Hogwarts and everything bad only seemed to happen when they were on the castle grounds.

Following the others as they entered the large room, Serena walked behind them and glanced around the new environment. It was unusually large, though perhaps should be of no surprise to the growing witch. There was a giant sandcastle in the room, which caused a little bit of relief to flood over her. It seemed much more pleasant than she had first anticipated. Perhaps, just perhaps, she was wrong. She smiled a little, seeing the excitement on Arthur's face. That was sweet, to say the least.

Looking forward, she felt like perhaps she had misjudged this event. It was just like being in a beach, surely. Well, that was until she heard Arthur's voice questioning the safety of the trip. The colour drained from her face a little as she thought about them. Looking at him, she noticed that she had already gone ahead, entering the next room. Then... he continued to question the structure of the place.

Quickly following behind them, Serena shoved her hand in her pocket and gripped her wand. "... What makes you think someone is trying to hurt us...?" Serena questioned his words, wondering where he came to that conclusion. She sighed softly, "I don't know who you mean... But yes, dangerous things can happen. Just stay close to each other, work together and be cautious." Serena gave him some advice that she had learnt from the campout. Rushing in recklessness and going alone almost killed her. She ended up in the hospital because of those actions. The Lock in was much safer for her. In fact, nothing really bad happened there * and perhaps that was because they stayed together. They had worked together as a group to solve things and actually came across a talking dragon that was super cute and friendly. It was actually really pleasant but she had heard that others did not have a similar fun experience...

Working together was the Hufflepuff way. They would be fine, as long as they stuck together. She pulled out her wand and stared down at the ground, "What makes you question it?" She asked, wondering if they were going to fall through at any point or the castle was going to start collapsing as the train moved.

Serena pulled off her hoody and shoved it into her bag so she was wearing a t-shirt, shorts and pair of boots. It was much more weather appropriate as the room seemed warmer than the previous room. Glancing around, she spotted a boy that she had seen around a little last year but did not know the name of quietly walking ahead. She frowned a little. He could ignore them, that was fine. But she was worried about leaving him alone... Then again, if she proceeded to follow him, the rest would get stuck behind. "I'll go after him, you guys stick together and follow when you're ready." She instructed, deciding to follow the boy, not wanting him to be alone. At least Arthur had the rest of the group too.

Calling out to him, "Hey, fancy waiting up?" She asked as she caught up to him before quietening down and silently walking near him. She did not even know his name but... she wasn't about to let him wander off alone.
ACTION: Enter sand castle room, follow Howard down the passage.

[font=EB Garamond] Dorothy stood quietly after speaking, eyes fixed on a section of the train seat in an empty stair.  A first year girl spoke, asking if she was thirsty or something.  She absently shook her head, eyes still on the seat in front of her.  It was only when the little boy spoke that she turned to look at him.  It was the same as before, and he was asking her further questions.  Dorothy opened her mouth to answer, to maybe offer advice or tell him to not be so trusting of Lear.  Before she could, however, someone else entered the compartment.

Serena.  Dorothy had brushed into the Hufflepuff prefect during an unfortunate bicker in the Great Hall.  Though it had been a while, Dorothy childishly harbored some resentment towards the Towers girl, and was further irked when Serena addressed her.  “Shafiq.” That was all.  Shafiq. Dorothy frowned, and quietly greeted Serena with a strained tone to her voice. “Serena.” Not Towers, certainly not Towers.  See, Dorothy could be polite.  She could be civil.

The prefect of her house went on to tell a bald face lie to the curious first years.  Dorothy quietly scoffed, rolling her bloodshot eyes at the false words that poured fluently from Serena’s mouth.  She was nearly as bad as an adult, and adults could never be trusted.  “I don’t know where you were during the Lock-in,” she began with a lifted eyebrow, “but where I was, it-” No one listened.  Serena was talking to one of the boys, clearly oblivious of Dorothy’s comment.  She sighed and shrugged her bare shoulders.

A red and white striped tank top, some khaki combat pants, and sneakers had seemed appropriate for the unknown terrain, and the get up could easily be paired with a winter cloak should the weather turn cold.  Dorothy silently pulled her wand farther up out of the pocket where it lay concealed, in the seam of her left pant-leg.  She would need it surely, and considering her lack of proper rest, she wished to keep it close by.  It wouldn’t be hard for someone to sneak up on her when she was like this.

Perhaps her very paranoia would help keep her safe this time.  Indeed, the blonde would turn her head at any noise, flinch at a sudden movement, and pause if she thought she smelled something odd.  The level of care put into any whim of danger was almost ridiculous.  Dorothy had learned from the Lock-in, and she didn’t want to take any chances.

Why was she here?  It was simple.  Dorothy wanted to get rid of the danger any future Hufflepuff’s faced.  Lear.  Not because of any sort of nobility or care for her fellow students, but because she desired revenge for what he had put her through.  If Lear enjoyed tormenting children, she wished to take that away from him.  It wouldn’t be easy, but she would have another professor know.  Someone else would hear of this.

Her eyelids seemed to gain pounds as she stood there waiting.  Leaning slightly against the wall of the train, she closed her eyes and numbly enjoyed the motion of the moving vehicle.  Hopefully it would be a while before they got there.  As she dozed against the wall, a change occurred.  The air seemed warmer, as if a window had been opened so the sun could shine through.  Dorothy opened her eyes to see who had opened the window, and her mouth fell open in shock.  The compartment door had been opened to reveal a sandcastle room.

Dorothy’s heart momentarily leapt high into her chest, before she remembered everything.  It settled in her stomach and began beating like a drum at the sight of the room.  Nothing was that magic, nothing was that safe, no one should go in the-Bloody Hell!  Without hesitation, people were already walking into the open compartment, into the sandcastle.  “Wait!” Dorothy’s voice called in a panicked cry.  “D-don’t.”  Too late.  Her housemates were stupidly wandering into the unknown.  Would they leave her?  Startled she took an exaggerated step through the compartment door, nearly crashing into Serena’s back.

It was a desperate move to avoid abandonment.  Now inside, she called after the boy who was leaving, really speaking to anyone who could hear her.  “Everyone, listen!  We have to stick together, or things will go terribly.  All of us. All of us..” The last sentence was spoken in a whisper and she turned around, eyes searching frantically for the Head of House.  He was watching them, watching her, with an empty look in his eye.  Dorothy’s eyes widened, and she spoke another word, hollow and full of fear. A voice that held a deeper understanding, and was surprised to have obtained one.  A little girl’s voice.

As the door swung open, the blast of cold as hell air combed through the girls hair and seemingly touched her bones with frigid hands. Look at her. Not even inside the room and she was shivering. And although she badly wanted to make a pun, she couldn't. Not when they were still tense and not in the mood. No. It was too early for that.

But really, Frost thought that a room full of ice and ice furniture was really cool. (hehe) She was not at the least prepared for this temperature. For goodness sake, she was wearing a skirt. The girl would tug on the sides of her jacket and wrap it around her torso, grasping onto that last little breath of warmth. How in the world did someone make this? Spending what seemed to look like so much time into making an igloo an a train.

It was amazing indeed. She had never seen something like it. It made her feel a bit better that some of her teammates were wearing warm clothes. At least they weren't going to freeze their bums off. All this little girl had was her jacket to block out the attcks of the chilly gusts. But, she would take a step in and gesture to the ones behind her to come inside. If there was anything she had learned from the Lock-In, it was that staying together was the best way to go.

Hazel eyes scanned the room, looking for whatever it was there was to find. There had to be something. There was always something to find. Frost would run a finger over the surface of the chair made of ice. It was cold, obviously, but what was keeping them from melting? Where they, in fact, already starting to melt? So many terrible puns came to mind. They might have been the only thing keeping her usual 'forever' smile on her freckled face.

"Good thing it's well lit up in here." The girl, in fact, was quite scared of the dark. Yes, it was a fear for children, but most especially for Hufflepuffs, but technically, she was still a child. Frost would search for any oddities. I mean, more odd than a room made of ice. Quinn was right about the slipping. Ice was known to be very slippery, and it didn't mix well with some of the clumsy ones.

Frost would stick with Quinn. He was one of the few the girl actually knew on this train. And he seemed to jump right into the adventure. It was a good thing that all this ice wasn't melting, for now. Because if all of it did melt and become a huge watery lake, she would have one hell of a scared teammate. She snorted. "This ice room is pretty cool, right?" Frost couldn't help but laugh at her own horrible pun. And although she hadn't gone that far, she still looked in the doorway, almost pleading for the rest of her fellow redheads to come join her inside the ice room.

Marian entered the chill. The air was cool, enough to nip at her nose but she would be comfortably warm in the clothes she had taken with her. As she entered this adjacent car, there could be relief in the fact that she was further from the source of the tension that seemed to blanket the Professor. Solomon's eyes darted in her direction, there was a glint in his eye of something regrettable, the Professor was losing his poker face.

Marian entered the Icy Room

Quinn would enter also, the ginger with a mass of curls could tolerate the cold. The call for adventure would call him onward. The room would not look dangerous, simple clean lines and cool toned hues distinguished this space. It looked like a bar room. Solomon would not be taking these kids to a bar would he? Probably not. But as Quinn entered and started to look around he would see that this was some sort of ice lounge. Yes, there were drinks -- butterbeer and sparkling juice mostly.

Everything looked pretty 'safe' on first glance. A stack of board games next to a block of ice and a large pane of either glass or ice, it being hard to distinguish between the two would show a lovely countryside accented with wooden fences and emerald hills. The hills looked cold, the sky was grey and there was a layer of frost on the ground. In fact, the trees were bare and still. From this vantage point they were not moving. How bizarre.

Quinn entered the Icy Room.

Of course then there was Frost, poor dumb... sweet Frost. She was making puns, barely reading the room. Still, they were bad enough that they were funny. Sadly Solomon was not in a laughing mood. Solomon would shift uncomfortably as the second year followed Quinn into the next car. He would wait for them to file inside, it was certainly a maze with cheese and the students were the rats.

Frost enters the Icy Car

After the students entered the icy car, Solomon would give an almost pained smile as he said his farewell. "Be safe on your trip." His wand barely at hip level it would make a figure eight motion and he would say one word: "Sero."  The door would seal behind them, leaving no passageway back to the original car.

Yes, they were locked into a... bar? Well, a ice bar at the very least.

Quinn was the most adventurous or perhaps the most foolish. He had gone further into the room than the rest. He would see it, a small tightly bound scroll pinned to the counter beneath the weight of a large bottle of butterscotch butterbeer.

Quinn finds a scroll.

======================

Arthur was not being told much, all he knew was the others were nervous and something had went wrong the last time the students adventured. In fact, every adventure resulted in tragedy. It would have been logical to share, to warn those that had no idea what to expect so that they could prepare. That would have been kind. It might not have been wise. Arthur was unprepared, hardly suspecting, potentially the last to notice the dire change when it might happen giving those that were ready for whatever might happen. Arthur would be among the first to die, to get hurt. His injury or demise might give the second years enough time to get away.

Huffles were too loyal to be this cunning. This cold.

Uncertain, somewhat concerned Arthur was forced to move on. Thankfully Solomon had offered a sufficient distraction. A Sandcastle. A little bit of sparkle and the average adult could be distracted, it was even easier for a child.

Arthur's trepidation was not unfounded. His guess was not wrong, this was a one-way trip. There was a mixture of magics in use here, the train served as a means to leave the Hogwarts grounds and escape the runes that would have prevented him from using the magic he needed to get these kids away. Further away than this train could take them.

Arthur would travel further into the room, he would feel a breeze. Yes, as breeze. A pair of thin gossamer curtains would sway gently. Through the thin veil Arthur would feel a breeze, hear the sound of waves and smell salt in the air.

Arthur entered the Sandy Room.
Serena was a liar and this was a lie of omission. She knew that things went wrong, that this was dangerous. That was why she was gripping her wand. That was why she had this dire sense of trepidation. Even if she believed that their former Head of House was a good man, there was still the odds of it all. The fact that there was a black cloud over House Hufflepuff. It seemed to stem from recklessness when it came down to it.

  • Reid and Cynthia used a muggle device on the grounds of Hogwarts.
  • Orion had cast incendio in a dry, wooded area.
  • In the Lock-in the Professor had a cruel sense of humor but there was nothing truly dangerous less the panic in his voice and the hasted evacuation that he refused to explain.
But Serena knew better and kept silent all the same.

Serena enters the Sandy room.

But Serena was not the only one to sin. No, Dorothy was not much better. Yes, there was a sense of intent but even she did not bother. She could have warned him. She could have said something to affirm his instinct but she stopped herself. They all did it. The adults. The kids. Everyone in-between.

Howard's apprehension might be fading, what was before him was a damn wonder. They were on a train chugging through the Scottish countryside, he could hear the engine and the locomotive tracks. Yet through the door once it was opened he would not hear the engine from this adjacent car. In fact, he would hear the cry of gulls and the crash of waves.

Howard would step inside, the fine soft sand would give way underfoot.

Howard enters the Sandy Room.

Serena and Howard would make their way into the room, there was a passageway leading away. It would be a hallway. Yes, they were definitely no longer on a train. The hallway was much like the room that they were already in. Sandy busts on pedestals would line the hall. Their faces stoic and aged.

What was this place? Definitely a sand castle.

Yes, Howard, Serena and Arthur had already entered the room before Dorothy would say anything. Before she would tell them to STOP. That they should not go on. That they needed to stick together rather than explore the adjacent compartment.

But Dorothy would enter the sandcastle as well. Solomon was watching her, she was making a fuss. The edges of his narrow lips would move downward as he watched this display. "You're better off in there," Solomon announced with a somber tone as he pulled out his wand. "Sero" he announced casting a charm that the students would not yet know. It was not a dangerous charm and it was not at anyone in particular but rather the door. The door would simply lock behind Dorothy and then disappear from view.
Solomon Locked the Door
The room would not explode or cave in. Rather it was quite peaceful. Nice even. This was what they do to cows wasn't it. Beasts are hardly as dumb as we credit them to be, they know when their time is near. When they are being taken to the slaughterhouse and what it is to not return. The scent of blood in the air. The noise. The aura. That is why they are allowed to meander to their final resting place, death comes swiftly from behind. Without the fear and the adrenaline to taint the meat of course because it was not an act of kindness but rather one of personal gain.

Was that was Solomon was doing here? Calming them before he ended them?

No, for the thousandth time, he was saving them.

They would see it in the passageway. Serena and Howard that is. Well, Howard might see it first. A scroll resting in the teeth of a sandy sculpture. The image that of a dragon, the scroll clenched in its teeth.

Howard finds a scroll.

There is something about ambition, how it not only propels you but also defines you.

A Forgery of a Destiny Hufflepuff Only
Despite his trepidations, once he was inside the room, Arthur felt a cool salt breeze on his face and immediately the feeling of anxiety brought on by a creeping sense of claustrophobia began to ebb. Crouching down, he traced his hand across the floor as though to test that it really was a beach beneath them and not just some kind of illusion. If it was an illusion, it was a mighty convincing one. He started tracing words and shapes into the sand with his finger. Felt about as real as any beach he'd seen before.

He looked up when Serena questioned his statement. "What makes you think someone is trying to hurt us...?" The severity in her voice startled him. "Nothing. I'm saying that's not what they're doing," he said, confused. People were saying things had ended badly before, but he could only assume that was by accident or negligence and not any intent. As far as what made him think this might be dangerous (besides everyone's obvious apprehension, and the warning he'd already gotten from Dorothy..) He shrugged. "I mean, they teach children how to make fire, then let them wander around with a wand. I don't think it's going out on a limb to say this school clearly doesn't care that much about safety."

He'd already suspected the school of being negligent in their Health & Safety standards from day one. The moving staircases alone was like: what was even the point of that?? In his primary school you had to take a safety course just to go up a ladder. Here, if a staircase suddenly flings a couple students several storeys down, well, that's all just part of the Hogwarts experience. Eleven year old children shot dangerous and damaging spells at each other as part of a sanctioned school activity, and everyone was okay with that. And that was just a part of a regular school club. Field trips, he'd imagine, could only be more extreme.

Of course, that wasn't to say that he was totally against the idea. Schools in England, if anything, went a little overboard in their regulation, in his opinion. He was sure Hogwart's mindset was only that of many schools and people in the past; that if they didn't learn these things now, they wouldn't be prepared to face them when they went out into the world. The magical world seemed to be especially fraught with danger, so raising competent and self-reliant students only made sense. And though the battle-scarred look of some of the older students made him think that maybe it wasn't all fun and games, he was ready to embrace the adventure so to speak.

Looking around for the source of the breeze, he found the gossamer curtained windows and walked over to check them out. Hopefully behind them would be a wide open beach. And unless they were on an upper floor somehow (he supposed that was really no stranger than being transported magically who-knows-where) anyone who wanted to would be able to leave the castle by that means.

“Well, sand isn’t exactly known for its structural integrity..” he said back to Serena, looking up at the ceiling again anxiously. His History of Magic book was full of examples of wizards that didn't really think things through. Like casting a dancing charm on a volcano and causing an eruption that killed thousands of people. It wouldn't surprise him if someone had decided to conjure up a life-size sandcastle without really considering the civil engineering required to keep it standing. For now, it all seemed to be holding together fine though. And if there was a way out, that was certainly a great improvement.

Announcing that she too was going down the tunnel, Arthur just nodded. “Sure, I’ll tell everyone where you’ve gone,” he said, surprisingly sanguine, despite all the warnings.

All that was about to change with the next student to appear through the door. He was still looking at the window when her frantic voice distracted him; “Everyone, listen! We have to stick together, or things will go terribly. All of us. All of us..” her tone was clearly upset, desperate even. Unnerved, he turned just in time to see the door that was closed behind them suddenly disappear from view, with the echoing word ‘Sero’. He didn’t know the spell, but he’d guess it had something to do with that door.

“Um.. Did he just..?” Turning from the window, he walked back towards Dorothy, too bewildered to be concerned about it just yet. He was more worried about her. She seemed distressed even before the door disappeared on them. The thought of being trapped in here was hardly going to help. Confronted with heightened emotions, Arthur never knew the right thing to do or say. Panicked, he tried frantically to think of anything that might comfort her.

“We’ll stick together! It’s okay. They’re just down the hall, we can catch them. We’ll all stay together,” he promised, though his words were largely meaningless, since he could only speak for himself.
Actions: Inspects window. Makes poor attempts to comfort Dorothy. Will follow if she goes down the corridor towards the others.

Mentions & Interacts: Poor, Poor Quinn

There would be an aged, kind of raspy voice that filled the empty silence. It was the old man, professor Lear, standing at the doorway. She giggled at the old man, not knowing what was about to happen. Lord, bless her innocent soul. To dumb to know what was going on. "We will, Professor!" She said, excited.

But that unknowing smile soon faded. As soon as the word 'Sero' escaped Lear's lips, the doorway out of the car sealed, blocking their way back. Frost was taken back, she stood in a state of utter shock. She didn't even notice the things Quinn had found. Did he just trap us? Only the three of them were in the icy room, the rest of the team was outside

After she pulled herself together, she scampered over to Quinn, who had gotten a little farther away. Frost would tug on the sleeve of the taller boy's sweater. "Quinn.." The girl would whine to the boy while pointing to the now sealed door. She was scared. You could see it on her face, eyebrows knitted and jaw clenched. It was like her already small stature shrunk even more. Her narrow shoulders were slouching inward as if she was trying to give herself a hug.

And from the back of her throat, she let out an almost inaudible "We're trapped." It was like a little squeak from a mouse. Everything she was right now made her seem so little. So small and facing a big, dark fear. Frost didn't want to be alone. Not when she was trapped in this room of ice. Without knowing it, her grasp on Quinn's sleeve was getting more and more intense. Like she was hanging on for dear life.

It was undoubtedly one of her greatest fears. Not that you could tell unless it was already happening. And she was getting so worked up about Quinn's fear. But what about her own? Wheather or not she liked it, she was trapped. The exit? Poof. Gone. The little spark of positivity was fading so quick. The girl would feel her knees go weak. She didn't think it was going to be that bad. In her experience, professor Lear's adventures hadn't been that bad. But now, she could barely breathe.

And although the two weren't very close, she didn't want Quinn to leave her alone to die in this room that seemed to start closing in on her. Frost clung onto his arm like he was her older brother. Not that she was a fearless girl that was always confident and never worried, but it must have been very unsettling to see the girl who was always sunshine and rainbows start to crumble.

Actions:
Cling onto Quinn's arm and probably making him feel very uncomfortable™
Have a mental breakdown
I just like being dramatic and this happened to be one of her fears.
