Miss Chant owns a wand of Aspen Wood with a Dragon Heartstring Core that is 35.8 centimeters long and is inflexible. According to Ollivander this is a wand that requires endurance and determination to master. It has a particular affinity for DADA and Transfiguration but also the tendency to act up and/or backfire. Chant still has far to go before she can fully earn this wand's respect.
Patronus: Not Yet Discovered. CHARACTER DESCRIPTION: Reducio Physical - A pale girl with short dark brown hair and warm hazel eyes. Most of the time her eyes will appear to simply be dark brown at a glance but in certain shades of light or upon close inspection the green flecks in her iris will shine. Her small size and mousey sounding voice both give the impression that Theodora is far younger than she actually is, making it so many underestimate her. Mental - Demure and soft-spoken. Theodora is a insecure and generally nervous young girl who keeps to herself. She feels quite uncomfortable with those she has not come to fully trust yet and has trouble making friends with other children her age. Once with those she trusts completely however her personality does a drastic shift and she can be quite outgoing and even mischevious. She is also bit of a tomboy, and insists friends call her Theo for short as she hates her birth name and is of the opinion that Theodora is simply too old fashioned. Overall despite her many insecurities Theodora is a energetic and positive young girl.

Early Life - Theodora was born to a muggle american mother and a english wizard father as a single child. She was raised in a magical home in Lincoln, England, where thanks to her mother (Kathryn Chant) she attended muggle school and gained a great understanding of muggle life and objects, including video games and cartoons which Theodora is most fond of. Her father (Arthur Chant) works for the ministry but is by no means in any sort of high ranking position, as is evident by the very small house the Chant's live in. (Which is hidden from muggle sight in a small alley way.) However for the most part they all live a comfortable life. The only real problem seemed to be with Theodora herself- who despite the best of her efforts could not make a single friend at school.

Shy, Timid, and awkward, Theodora was the prime suspect for bullying in muggle schools. While much too embarassed to admit to being bullied, it was still inevitable that Theodora's parents would take notice of how she seemed to never have plans or indeed make any mention of a school friend whatsoever. Mrs Chant would soon worry and try to offer ideas nobody ever took her up on, like how maybe they should sign Theodora up for clubs or dance classes.

Mr Chant wasn't fussed. "Nothing to worry about at all if you ask me Dear, she's better off spending her efforts with her own kind you'll see, no point I say no point at all to her tottering about after clueless muggle tykes she'll forget about in week once at Hog- ah that'll be for me." An owl had flown into the window and dropped a letter onto the dining room table. Conversations with her father were almost always cut short like this, he seemed to be constantly summoned to work. He was simply too busy to deal with Theodora's problems, and she didn't want to bother him with her own ineptitude.

Theodora looked up to both of her parents very much, her mother was kind, hardworking, and the type of person who'd always reach out a hand to anyone who needed it. Her father, meanwhile, was laid-back and easy-going. He never seemed worried about anything and always liked having a laugh. Frankly, Theodora thought he might be the coolest person alive, afterall, how many kids have a wizard for a dad?

So therefor without either of her parents meaning for it to happen, Theodora developed a bit of a complex. She wanted very much to impress her parents and never dissappoint them, she wanted to be the best daughter she could ever be, even at her own detriment. She didn't just want her parent's love, she wanted their pride as well.

Year One - Freshly sorted into Gryffindor, Theodora is overjoyed to get into her father's house, and for once her self hatred seems to have dimmed a bit, maybe her father was right afterall, maybe here, at Hogwarts, she would find her true calling!

First Instance of Magic - Theodora demonstrated magical ability quite early at the age of three, where during a super emotional tantrum she set her father's mustache on fire.
