Unlikely Friendships Completed

True. Odi thought. He was rarely perturbed by the danger of a situation, and in fact he was often spurred on by the promise of great reward that always seemed to accompany it, but he would prefer not to get Alana injured. "But are you able to handle yourself like that? Magical creatures can be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing." His tone was mildly patronising, but it came from a place of genuine concern. He hadn't had the chance to see Alana in class before, and for all he knew she was as useless with a wand as a troll.

Odi bristled at the use of his full first name. "I see you've heard the teachers use my legal name on the register." He said good-humouredly. "But I go by Odi, only my parents really call me Odilon, and my dad only does it when he's angry." Odi smirked. There was a lot of cause to be angry at him, but most people struggled with it nonetheless.

He turned his attention back to the forest. "But if you're serious about going for an explore, maybe you'd like to join me in the forbidden forest sometime." He got to his feet, clapping the mud off his hands and slinging his bag over his shoulder. "But preferably during a more pleasant weather. I wouldn't want to get dirt all over a face like that." He reached out his hand and tapped Alana's cheek lightly to indicate the face he was talking about, flashing her a cheeky grin.

Alana smiled gently at Odilon the young red haired girl seemed fairly happy that the young boy Alana smiled brightly her sea-foam teal blue eyes sparkled happily. Her fiery red haired swayed gently in the frigid chilly breeze. Alana continued to stare at Odilon as her smile seemed to widen a bit.

“Odi that is a nice nickname! Hopefully I won’t have to call you by your name then only if your being mischievous but that is alright though.”

Alana spoke sweetly her tone soft and jokingly the young girl grinned brightly. Alana watched Odi quietly her sea-foam teal blue eyes radiated with pure joy. Alana giggled slightly when Odilon tapped her cheek gently. Alana continued to smile brightly at the young boy her fiery red hair swayed in the gentle breeze.

“Maybe one day we can explore the forbidden forest it would be drastically amazing! Maybe one day we will have the chance to explore it for now. Hogwarts is still a mystery itself which is amazing! Maybe their are something mysteries that could be found.”

Alana spoke softly her honey sweet tone drifted through the air as the young girl stared across the lake before smiling at Odilon brightly.

“Well then let’s head back then should we not.”

Alana smiled sweetly before turning towards the grand castle staring at Odilon awaiting his answer if he was going to follow or not. The wind gently swayed the girls fiery red hair as she smiled brightly.

Odi blinked at Alana. Her enthusiasm was fantastic for a charms class, but perhaps misplaced for an illicit trip into the forbidden forest. Odi made a mental note to never take this girl on dangerous excursions. At this point, he was becoming resigned to the fact that if he wanted to explore, he might have to do so on his own.

He looked back into her sparkly sea-foam eyes with a sense of guilt. He would not feel right bringing a girl like this into a treacherous area like the forest. Even by his own questionable standards of morality, that would be wrong. She perhaps had a bit of growing to do before she'd be ready for something as scarring as the creatures they might see in there.

"On second thought." Odi replied smoothly. "Maybe we should start of with a hot chocolate in the common room sometime, I'm sure that'd be an easier task." He gave her a half-hearted but genuine smile.

"Well then let's head back then, should we not?" Alana said, turning towards the castle. Odi considered wether he needed another moment to himself, but shrugged in an ambivalent sort of way and followed along after her. He wasn't entirely sure what he thought of Alana so far. She seemed naïve, but incredibly friendly. Odi briefly wondered if he was going to be a bad influence on this girl.

Nah. He thought, Probably not.
