Missing Home

For once, Rosie was homesick.
It was an odd feeling, missing home. For her first year, she was fine. Rosie was too busy becoming familiar with the entire Hogwarts campus. The wonders, the mysteries, the developing of friendships, it was all so new and wonderful to a girl like her. Every corner she turned seemed to be like a new adventure, some new discovery, or a new person to meet.
But now, she was, for some reason, missing home.
Rosie figured it was because of her new found attachment to her step-father, Max. She didn't really like calling him that, considering he shared a name with one her friends, but it worked out fine regardless. He started becoming someone Rosie could consider family, despite being there for such a short time. Besides, his father loved him. It reminded him of how he used to look at her mom, and that was definitely love. The look that her father gave her step-father was more than that, which made Rosie completely sure, this was the guy that would stay with them forever.
So, she decided to write a letter back, and it looked like she was running out of room. Rosie sighed. She had already said so much! Rosie talked about her friends, her professors, how it was to be a prefect. She also asked about Benny, and how he was doing. He asked if Max and her dad were still getting bad looks, so Rosie could fly back on her broom and beat them up. But most importantly, she asked if they had heard anything from her mom. Despite everything she said to her, Rosie still cared. She always would.
With a sigh, she let out a slight groan of frustration and a stomp of her foot out afterwards. "Where the bloody hell-" She mumbled, going through the papers for a free one. Rosie finally got a blank paper and placed it down on her lap, after sitting down on the floor. She rubbed her eyes and went back to writing. She figured she had to work on talking so much, out loud, and in letters.
Rosie slightly hoped nobody would walk in on her, mostly for the fact she knew it'd mess with her concentration, however, said distraction seemed to be inevitable.

Missing Home

Making a letter was a regularity for him to write. He was never the one who sought it necessary to contact home as he had nothing much to say to them. He didn't do much during his first year here and it wasn't going to change much this year. Although this time he wanted, no needed to write a letter to write it. It was something, he that must be done as soon as possible as it wouldn't make sense to send this later, The message was alright but at least this would reach her, Bellamy regretted how he acted towards her when he left home again for Hogwarts.
This letter took hours for him to find the right words to say to her, after scraping eight letters, to be painfully precise, Bellamy actually made one sincere letter, It wasn't much but it was a letter wrote by him. "I hope this is enough," pleating the letter to make it fit the small envelope. As he trotted up the final steps to the opening in the tower, Bellamy made echoing clacks with his rumpled dress shoes that he treated like hiking shoes; he viewed every shoe that way.
Looking upon the numerous owls that resided in the musky hollow tower, the smell didn't bother him. He scanned every level for below to find his owl, the damn bird was always temperamental as it didn't always obey to his command, though lately, his sister told him that the winged chicken was actually responsive lately so he gave it shot. She noted if he held out his arm that he would come to him since he was obviously trained to know the family members, Bellamy just hoped it actually worked for him this time or else he'll just spend hours just looking for the damn bird. Raising his arm he strolled around the first floor assuming the winged chicken would see him from there, but that was a minute in and still didn't see any owl leaping from their perch to come to him. "Cette petite merde," Bellamy tried the second level of the tower, getting a level higher he was before. As he lazily reached the top still apparently holding out his arm a girl was there, sitting on the second-floor writing away on the rough surface of the floor. Her haired shined as metal would as it glimmered downward as he was closed in on the girl, her appearance was blissful like nature itself, at harmony and freeing. Lowering his arm from strain, he tucks his letter in his back pocket, giving a waving gesture, "Ugh Hi?" In those moments the waving seemed out of place for him to do though, 'Why am I saying Hi? I just came to send a letter. Where's that dang bird?' He gave it a good shot and stuck with it but only to the point where his hands receded into his front pockets.

Bellamy's Letter:
Hello Mum,
I know that I acted poorly at home and that I didn't say goodbye to you at the station but know that I appreciated your help with dad but thanks, Its was always really nice great you sticking out for me and Valerie, especially Valerie she didn't need that bad of a punishment from dad, I made that dumb choice to not come home, apologies. Je t'aime maman, je rentre à la maison cette fois, Ne t'inquiète pas. And yes I'll try to make friends

.... How's Benny doing? Does he still stink a bunch? I bet he does, babies seem to stink everywhere you go with him. You better potty train him while I'm gone! And make him wear the onesie I go-
Rosie's thoughts and writing were interrupted by a masculine sounding voice. She turned up, her curly locks falling in front of her eyes. With a huff, she moved them out of her eyes, smiling up at the stranger. He seemed more confused than anything, but he didn't look mean. Rosie stood up and held her letter in her hand, and stuck out the other one.
"Hi! My name's Rosie, are you okay? You look, uh... confused." She smiled sweetly at him, waiting for him to hopefully shake her hand.
She was just excited to see someone new during her second year of Hogwarts, all she had been doing was catching up with her regular friends, nobody new. Not that her friends weren't amazing. Eris was perfect on her own, Adam was as bubbly as always, Max hadn't lost his intimidation, and Rhea was just as sweet as they were when they met. Though, Rosie couldn't help but wonder one thing as she looked at the figure in front of her.
Where did Anatole go?
Rosie figured this was the worst time ever to question the location of her best friend, but it was all she had been thinking about. It's like he didn't wanna talk anymore.
Oh well, it was most likely fine.
At least the boy in front of her wasn't starting off the conversation wrong, and Rosie always welcomed new friends with open arms.
