115 g
Unsalted Butter (4 oz) softened
50 g
Caster Sugar (2 oz)
175 g
Plain Flour (6 oz)
about 0.5 g
Salt (pinch)
2.5 ml
Dr. Oetker Madagascan Vanilla Extract (½ tsp)
100 g
Dr. Oetker Milk Chocolate Chips

Step 1: Preheat the oven to 180°C (160°C Fan, Gas Mark 4). Line a large baking tray with baking parchment. In a bowl, beat the butter and sugar together until soft and creamy. Add the flour, salt, Vanilla Extract and Chocolate Chips and stir into the creamed butter and sugar until the mixture forms a firm dough.
Step 2: Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently until smooth. Roll out to a thickness of 1cm (½ inch) - the mixture will be quite short. Using a 6cm (2 3/4 inch) round cutter, stamp out 10 rounds, re-rolling as necessary.
Step 3: Arrange on the baking tray, spaced slightly apart. Prick the tops with a fork and chill for 30 minutes.
Step 4: Bake for 15-18 minutes until lightly golden. Cool for 5 minutes then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Enjoy!

Poem About Spring
Buttercups, flowers,
Rise and shine,
The day is certainly fine!

Roses, tulips,
Nature, be mine!
The day is certainly fine!

Bluebells, daisies,
Flowers arise,
Go and enjoy the sunshine!

The Very Best Worst Joke Told by Duvessa
Duvessa grinned to tell her best joke. It was a game she was playing, and her friends listened to her as she began.

First, she had attempted to remember ANY jokes at all. Her mind worked quickly, racing to find a good one...which everyone would laugh at. So, finally, she chose her best one. She was never good at doing anything funny, so this came a a struggle to her. She closed her eyes for one second, and then began reciting it from her memory of a joke book she had once read (and tossed away).
"Alright. Luna Lovegood comes to Dumbledore and said: Professor, I finished this assigment. May I get the fifty points? Dumbledore nods, and then says "5O POINTS FOR GRYFFINDOR"." Duvessa giggled, and looked at their reactions.
"Funny, right?" She said weakly, aware as they stared at her.
"Ye....ha ha." Says one of them, dully and in a flat voice that beat listening to a vacume cleaner.

Ah well, she never was a star at them. Duvessa sighed, and then returned her attention to the next person who was about to tell the next joke. It was surely more funnier, and Duvessa groaned to herself as she thought of her own.

Feelings
Duvessa tossed and turned all night, unsure how to feel. Well; actually she knew. She knew very well. But it hung over her head like a shadow, or a hurricane coming closer. Tears escaped her eyes before she knew it - why couldn't her return? Or at least take Duvessa with him? She sobbed quietly, picturing his snake like eyes gleam madly in the darkness as darling Dagger smirked next to him and looked at him out of adoring eyes. Eurgh, why did she have to steal him away? Why did she have to do this to her?

Jelousy burned her as quick as fire, and spreading as quickly as an infectious disease. She remembered the only words she had heard Dagger tell her. Only 5: Never trust a person twice. She had always been guarding her secrets for too long, never trusting no one. But for some reason, she had sabotaged Duvessa's realationship with her father.

He loved her once, cuddled her and played patiently as she attempted to drag heavy books and ask for him to show him some magic. But then he stopped, giving bis full attention to her. Duvessa sobbed her way to sleep, and hoped that she wouldn't remember anything in the morning....

Something New
She sniffed the fudge delicately, her dainty nose scrunched up. It was black, but like a marble, it also looked slightly pale. Duvessa was picky; that was the easiest way to explain what she was doing. Her Mother had baked this fudge, but Duvessa was already resting weary eyes on it. She hated new food; although she admitted the last time she tasted some new tarts they became her favorite.

So, inspired that Than was wolfing them down every second, Ambrose packing some up so that she could eat them for her dessert in the Ministry and the twins cutting them into pieces smaller than a dice to eat slowly - she reached out for one, hands unsteady. Anyone else would be rolling their eyes, but she had inherited the same alertness and suspicion from her father (that Dagger got as well) that prevented her to be as enthusiastic for food as Than was.

She bit into it, fudge oozing inside her mouth - she admitted defeat. It tasted spectacluar. In fact, even better. She sucked it slowly, letting the sugary taste reign in her mouth. Then, reached out for another.

That was how Duvessa tried something new, and like always, Mrs Embers cooking was marvelous.

Invent a Spell
The Curse of Robots
This spell is called the Curse of Robots. Highly boring for duels and fights, it is more of a source of amusement for people. Simply said, you will cast the spell (the incantation is Robotilus) with the wand movement of going up three steps, the person will begin moving like a robot. No fluid motions, but more shifty, rapt and harsh movements to be expected! Use this with care, and it does wear off after 10 minutes luckily.

Adventure Story
Memories. Words could perhaps be forgotten; thoughts could slip away. But memories stung at the worst of times, as if reminding of the past. No matter how you tried, you couldn't sweep them under the carpet. You couldn't run away. They were always there. And the black figure still had to learn it.

She put on a pair of silky black gloves, to not leave traces after herself. Her dress was slim fitted, long and willowy - the color of the night. Hair was as black as ebony and a pristine veil hung in front of her, completed with a smooth, velvet black hat - pinned with a black rose. Her heels were seemingly new so they nearly shone in the darkness, as she hurried along the wiry street. Primvail Avenue.

The rows of endless, identical houses were squashed between each other. It was hard to distinguish any from another, but the black silhouette knew her way well. Or at least, the building she was looking for was easy to spot. Her feet made a soft click, click, click as she walked, clutching her handbag in ladylike fashion.

As she walked on, a luminous manor towered down at her. Memories flooded to her as she gazed up at it, seemingly lost in her tracks.

Flashback
"Come play, An!" Callisto called, smiling as she began making mud pies in the garden. Angelique didn't respond, only shake her head sulkily.
"An!! Ess! Pleeeasseee come play!" Callisto attempted to persuade her sisters, but Duvessa didn't budge. Angelique did.
"Shut up." She said calmly. Callisto froze - her sister never said that to her.
"She doesn't mean it!" Duvessa called.
"I...I do." Angelique said, and flounced off dramaticlly.

Flashback Ends

However, as the woman began to shift the door open, a pair of hungry, gleeful eyes startled her.
"Back again, sister?" A voice said. It was strangely eerie, so omnisent and....even sad, "I'm so sorry." She whispered, and shook her head
"I must."

It was Callisto. And she wanted revenge for the thousands of times that Angelique made her mad. Angelique shivered, and turned on her heels.
"Don't leave so soon!" She cried, and began hurtling after her sister, brandishing her wand like a sword. But Angelique ran, and hid. Callisto ended up stumbling and getting knocked out by the sharp blow of the ground on her head.

Exercise
Duvessa stretched as she began walking outside. She stifled a yawn, the evenings were always tiring for her. She was not an evening person, prefering the light of the morning to make her day. But today, she decided to do something beyond normal. Exercise. Go for a run.

She laced her trainers quickly, them being pearly white. She had a blue cardigan with her, which she tied round her waist. Her shirt was tight, and sporty - white too. She swept her ebony black hair into a ponytail and began with a soft jogging around the rippling, black lake.

With enthusiasm, she even managed to turn a few cartwheels before continuing, knowing that this was the best way to tire her out and make sure she slept well. After the previous nights of suffering and memories flooding back to her, she wanted to not have time to think about it. Ever.

So, feet softly padding on the damp grass she began circling the lake, and trying to keep her eyes open and the sun began to set behind the clouds - night. She was slightly sweaty now, but went off to take a shower before bed. Then, as she finally steadied herself to walk briskly, she took a deep breath and inhaled the chilly wind.

Poem about love
Love is like a lucky clover,
Hard to find and lucky to have,
Fragile as a glass old vase,
But strong as an oxe too.

Love is like a cuddly bear,
Soft and gentle, treat with care,
It can be chocolates or flowers,
That you gift to your loved.

Love can be found,
In an unimagible sound,
Place and time.
