CL New Friends=New Adventures IC RP PV <Invite Only>

Ivy was quite nervous about the ride to Hogwarts. She was scared that it wouldn’t go well and no one would talk to her. She entered the platform through the door with her mother next to her. She clenched her bag nervously, wishing her mother would come with her. “I’m scared mom.” She said. Her mother smiled softly and bent down to ivys level. “You’re going to be ok, don’t worry.” Her mother stood up again. “Now hurry on the train sweetie. I’ll be right here to wave goodbye.” Ivy hugged her one last time. “I love you mom” he mother hugged her back. “I love you too, Ivy.” Ivy reluctantly let go of her mother and headed inside the train, looking back at her one last time. Then she turned around and headed into an empty compartment. Well, almost empty. Unfortunately there were 2 other girls inside. She thought about asking to sit there but they just looked at her. She looked at them. Then she sat down. They didn’t say anything to her, and if they did then she didn’t hear them. She was reading “Emma” by Jane Austen. She was scared of what was ahead of her. She wanted to have a good year with friends, but she was worried she wouldn’t make any. She didn’t pay attention to the other girls or anything until the compartment door opened again. A blonde girl seeming to be around her age had walked in. “Do you mind if I join you guys in here? Everywhere else is full.” she said. Ivy just shrugged and put out her arm as to welcome her. Then she went back to her book.

Madison smiled and saw the book Ivy was reading "That's an interesting book, what's it about?" she asks, being from a pureblood magical family, the only books she'd read as a very young girl were books that moved and had animations to them, kind of like pop up books, except these ones had the pictures in the book showing like a movie. Madi was trying to engage with the girl who had put her arm out to welcome her in. She was nervous and wanted to make friends with the other girls but, even though she was nervous, she tried either way. "I wonder what house each of us will get put into, I'd be happy with either Hufflepuff or Gryffindor, since my Mum was in Hufflepuff and Dad was in Gryffindor at school" she says with a smile. She gets out a bag of lollies that she was planning to share with whoever else was in a carriage with her. Inside the bag were Chocolate Wands, Peach Rings, Pumpkin Pasties, Glacial Snow Flakes, Acid Pops, Sugared Butterfly Wings and Jelly Slugs. "Help yourselves girls, i convinced my dad to let me get a heap of treats for the train journey, and thankfully he agreed, he said that lollies are good conversation starters, but that Quidditch is always a good back up" she says with a giggle, explaining that her dad used to play for England as a professional Quidditch player but retired when Madi was 8 due to a concussion after getting hit by a rogue bludger in a World Cup Semi Final

Ivy was surprised that the girl was talking to her. "Oh, um. The book is called Emma by Jane Austen. It's a book about this girl, Emma, from high society who happens to be a matchmaker. One of her matchmaking attempts fail and it goes downhill from there. Not the book, I mean. The book is good. I mean her life. The movie Clueless from the 90's was actually an adaptation of the book. It's really good." "I wonder what house each of us will be put into, i'd be happy with either Hufflepuff or Gryffindor, since my mum was a hufflepuff and my dad was in gryffindor at school." The girl said, changing the subject to houses. "I'm probably gonna be a Hufflepuff. I come from a long line of Hufflepuffs, including my mum. It's kind of annoying being destined to a house where you're labeled as not smart enough, not brave enough, and not ambitious enough. My mum said you had to fight for the top grades and struggle from favortism if you're from Hufflepuff." Ivy sighed and went back to her book. Then the girl pulled out a bag of sweets. Ivy immediately reached for a pumpkin pasty. She loved those things. She listened to the girl go on about her father being a quidditch player. Ivy was suddenly jealous, literally no one wants an accountant as a father. Her dad was awesome, but she thought he should have gone into the comic book industry instead of being an accountant. She continued reading her book as the girl continued talking.

'Bye Mom! Bye Dad!' Cassie waves to her parents and gives them each a kiss. Her parents leave her trunk on the train and leaves. 'I will remember to write to you!' Cassie shouts to the back of her parents. She takes her trunk and walks towards the end of the train. Most of the places are full, few are still empty. She walks and walks, starting to get afraid of not having a seat.
Finally, she sees a room with only two girls inside. She knocks on the door and opens it. 'Excuse me, I can't see any other vacancies, so may I sit here?' The two girls seem to be chatting happily, so she is afraid she might disturb them, but they look friendly and easy to talk with.
'Nice to meet you girls,' Cassie smiles and says, 'My name is Cassie Jiang. I want to be sorted into Ravenclaw. What about you? Are you excited with going to Hogwarts? I am really excited.' Cassie tries to sound as friendly and kind as she can. She is saying the truth, she wonders what adventures may await her at Hogwarts. Can the girls be in the same house with her? Can they be friends throughout school years? Who knows?

"Really, my mum told me that some of the greatest witches and wizards of our era have come from Hufflepuff. I wouldn't say that everyone from Hufflepuff is labeled like that, there are plenty of smart, brave and courageous Hufflepuffs that I've read about" she says in response to Ivy's comment on Hufflepuff. Madison, seeing that the brown haired girl had returned to her book, turns to the girl who's standing in the doorway and smiles at her, "of course, nice to meet you Cassie, I'm Madison but you can just call me Madi" she says with a smile, as Cassie sat next to her. "Honestly, I don't mind, though I heard the Hufflepuff common room is right next to the kitchens which means midnight snacks. It would also mean not having the same common room as my older brother which would be nice" she says with a giggle. "I'm really excited to go to Hogwarts as well, my parents both went and have told me so many stories about the adventures they had and friends they made. I can't wait to try out for the Quidditch team of whatever house i'm put into though, my dad is a former professional Quidditch player who played for the England Quidditch team, so I learnt from a young age how to fly a broom and how to play. He says that i'll probably be a Chaser, since the last time i tried being a Beater, I hit the bludger and broke one of the back windows of our house" she says with a chuckle. "safe to say mum was not happy with me that night" she says, bringing her bag of snacks over so that Cassie could have some if she wanted. "So, do you have any siblings Cassie?" Madi asked. She found Cassie to be very friendly and chatty, something she was too. She had a feeling that she had just found one of her first new friends, maybe even one of her first new best friends. As she was talking to Cassie and sharing the snacks with her, she felt as though they were going to have a lot of fun together, along with maybe getting into a little bit of trouble together too. 'But then again, what's the fun in life if you don't have a bit of fun' she thinks to herself.

Cassie puts her trunk next to her and sits down. 'Hi Madi! My parents had also told me stories of Hogwarts, I can't wait! I want to try out and be a beater. My parents were beaters for the Ravenclaw team when they were in Hogwarts. They were great beaters. You know, at that time, not many girls get to have this role, mainly because lack of strength. But my mother did it. She performed greatly in that role. And that's how my parents liked each other!' Cassie giggles, 'oh, snacks, thank you! I love them! Who can refuse a nice snack?' she smiles again and takes some pieces to stuff her mouth.
'Well, I don't have a sibling in my family. My parents are considering having another child, though, but up to now, no. I have a dream of my own. I want to be, if no one has ever done that, the first student in Hogwarts' history to earn an O in every single homework and test. I know it can be difficult... my parents, they are from Ravenclaw, they thought they can achieve this ambitious dream, but it proves that this is very difficult. They said that they were so sad when they received the first E, but they have to accept that. Are you confident with your academics?'
Madison is a nice person to chat with, and as Cassie sees, they are very alike. Perhaps a best friend in Hogwarts?

Madison giggles and listens to Cassie as she hears her parents stories, popping Glacial Snowflakes into her mouth before answering Cassie's question. "Not me that's for sure, my mum said that snacks make the perfect ice breaker when meeting new people" she said with a smile. "My mum was very academically ambitious, she graduated top of her class for both her OWLS and NEWTS, whereas my father was more into his sport than academics. I'll hopefully be good at both even though i'm a lot stronger playing Quidditch then i am studying, though I'd have to say that out of all the subjects, the one i'm least looking forward to is Potions, Charms, Herbology and the others i know a fair bit for since my mum taught me a lot when i was younger, but potions I'm not looking forward to" Madi says, taking a bite out of a Jelly Slug. "My mum and dad actually met twice. Once at a house quidditch game in their third year, though my dad got such a bad concussion that he forgot that he met her. So the second time they met, was in potions class, my dad made his potion explode in his face, purely by accident, and my mum laughed so much that she poured too many fire seeds into her Doxyvenom antidote and it set her test subject, which was a creature that had been bitten by a Doxy, on fire, rather than curing it of the venom, though the creature didn't die since the Professor stopped it, however my parents both got sent out of the lesson and spent the rest of the time talking with each other, they've been inseparable ever since" Madi says with a giggle. "Maybe we can help each other, you help me study and i'll teach you a few inside tricks for Quidditch that my dad taught me, but not his special tricks, those he keeps for himself, and his children" Madi adds as she and Cassie keep talking with each other. She smiles and thinks to herself 'I think i've just found my best friend'.

Ivy listens to the stories of the other girl silently. She kind of wished she knew how to involve herself. She was new to this. After they finished talking she introduced herself.
“I’m Ivy. Ivy Evans. ” she said, not looking up from her book. “You mentioned your family likes quidditch.” she looked up from her book. “my mother was never a fan of quidditch but she was a pretty good dueler. One time she went against one of the best duelers in her house. She lost, but it was pretty close. She works at the daily prophet now. She’s written some pretty nice articles. My dads a muggle who’s an accountant. He met my mum when she was visiting her aunt in America. He lived next door. When he found out she was a witch he fell even harder. They’re still madly in love years after they met.” she realized she had probably over shared. “sorry. I overshared.” she muttered. She went back to her book after grabbing another pumpkin pasty.
She hoped they would all become friends, but she knew better. She never had friends before, so why would she now? She sighed and read the next chapter.

She wished she was better at talking. It was hard to make friends when her sister always stole the spotlight. She couldn’t help hoping they’d get along though.

Madi smiled and looked up at Ivy "don't be sorry, i think that's awesome!! I'm pretty sure i've read some of the articles your mum has written, my dad reads it everyday for the Quidditch scores, but once he's done, i take it and read it. I stumbled across an article of hers once and now i can't stop reading them, she's a really talented writer" she says, leaning over to Ivy "it's ok Ivy, i'm nervous too, Hogwarts is a brand new experience for all three of us. How about this, no matter what house any of us get into, we all stick together as a group, help each other out and be there for each other?" Madison suggests, she can see that all three of them have different strengths and possible weaknesses, if they work together as a team, what on earth could go wrong? she thought to herself. As she keeps eating her treats and sharing them with the girls, she looks outside the window "woah guys look out the window, there's Hogwarts, you can see the lights in the distance, wow isn't it pretty?" she says, moving back so that Cassie and Ivy can have a look too.
