Jakob listened intently to Ivy's story about the dog named Stella. What she finished, he spoke up, an idea sparking in his head. "Do you think maybe that could've been a sign? Perhaps you are a Seer? Maybe you have an Inner Eye. Or, y'know, perhaps I'm overthinking this and it was just dumb luck that you decided to give a dog a name it already had. Still... Pretty interesting though, don't you think?" "My actual first instance of magic was setting my sister's hair on fire.”

"Wow! You set your sister's hair on fire. That sounds scary. My first instance of magic happened when I was seven. My mother had split her index finger open while cutting vegetables. She was heading to her room to grab her wand to heal it when I walked over to her and held her hand, and as soon as I touched it, the cut had healed. Her finger, which was gushing blood two seconds ago was suddenly completely fine. There wasn't even a scar or any trace at all, no indication that she had just cut herself. She almost yelled in joy when she first saw it. She hugged me really tightly and took me out for ice cream after we ate dinner. I was confused, to say the least. She tried to explain it the next morning, but I don't think I finally understood until I got my letter from Hogwarts." He paused.

"And squirrel girl is awesome. Hilarious. There’s this one comic where her roommate is in Asgard and she happens to have a comic called “cat Thor” then Loki turns to cat Thor and there’s a huge pancake and waffle debate where- sorry. Spoilers."

"Oh, I don't mind spoilers," Jakob assured her. "I mean, there was really no point in me reading these." He gestured to the 'Darth Vader 2017' comics. "They take place right after the end of 'Revenge of the Sith,' and I knew Darth Vader doesn't die until the end of 'Return of the Jedi.' He had plot armor throughout the entire series. No matter what situation he found himself in, I knew he would survive. Spoilers don't matter to me because while I may know how the story ends, it's the journey taken to get to the end that counts the most. All of the stops and obstacles the protagonists have to make before the end of the story is what makes the ending all the more satisfying. I'll definitely check out Squirrel Girl when I get the chance."

Anyway, what’s your favorite comic? Ivy asked.

My favorite comic? Jakob thought to himself. "I don't know. Probably 'Iron Man 2.0' I like the plot. Stark becomes somewhat of an antagonist after one of his suits is taken control of by a supposed dead guy called Palmer Addley, who also mind-controls all of New York and starts a gigantic riot that causes millions if not billions of dollars in damage. James Rhodes has to help fight off Stark while he's under Addley's control, all while helping a few friends find a way to snap everyone out of their mind-controlled state. A lot of people don't like it, but it's not that bad in my opinion."

"I doubt I'm a seer." Ivy said, chuckling slightly. "It's pretty rare, and there would probably be more incidents than that one." She told him about her actual first instance of magic "Wow! Most people would be jealous and be all like: TakE mE tO HoGWarTS ToO" She did an impression of her sister. "But she was more like: "It'S BEtTer tO bE PrETty ThAN SoME MaGIcIAn" Which made no sense, honestly, because magic is way more useful. I know society makes it seem like being pretty will make you go far, but with magic, you can just enchant them." She joked. He told her his first magic story. "Oh geez, that sounds terrifying. I wouldn't have grabbed her hand. I would have probably fainted. My mom has never had a cut in her life though. Well, that I know of. Now that I think about it, I'm the only kid in my family to never have really gotten majorly hurt. I know that witches can get hurt too, but I always seemed to heal faster." Then they started talking about comics again. "That sounds good, actually. I love the villains. Basically all the heros do is fight and win, and the bad guy loses after tons of planning. Squirrel girl isn't like that though. She puts effort and teamwork to win. And she actually plans and things don't fix after 5 minutes. Batman is like that too. Do you like batman comics?"

"Yes. I've read 'Legends of the Dark Knight: Bad: Parts 1-3 ' and they were pretty interesting. I like the idea of Joey Jordanson. He's the main antagonist of the series. He supposedly has multiple personality disorder, which causes him to do horrible things. But when he's not being affected by MPD, he's not bad. He's actually a homeless orphan who was kind of shunned from his community because of his size. He's huge and incredibly strong. Which is what made it hard for Batman when it finally came to confronting him. Joey nearly killed Batman. The second issue of the series is a conversation between Batman and a doctor. She compares Joey's MPD to Batman and how he switches from a normal man to a dark superhero when he puts on his mask. Batman explains that Joey's case is not similar to his because Batman's change in personality is deliberate, unlike Joey's, which is caused by a mental illness. She doesn't know Batman is Bruce Wayne, by the way. It's a really good series. Anyway..." Jakob looked up at the darkening sky. It was getting late. "Maybe we should head back into the castle for dinner? What do you say?"
