October arrived without even noticing it. Time sure flies and who would've thought that a month has passed already since their first arrival in Hogwarts on the first of September. Raizel had been thinking about that as she sits by the lake, looking over to the castle just beyond it, having a great view of it from where she is at. A cool breeze sometimes blows, making the autumn leaves of the nearby trees rustle and dance along with it. It was a weekend, Sunday, no classes which means that she has time to relax and part of relaxing is her reading some of her old notes of charms that she learned from her father. The thought of her family made her smile, still feeling a bit of homesickness but after meeting new friends, it wasn't as bad as before. Hogwarts had become her second home. Sure, they had caused some troubles but that is a part of their school life. What's school without getting into a few mischief and adventures and this is a school for witchcraft and wizardry which means it has a lot to offer and for them to discover and experience.
With it being a weekend, she is dressed out of her school robes and wearing a plain black shirt with a red dragon like design in the front, paired with red shorts. She kept her long brown hair loose, feeling more comfortable that way although there were times that she needed to tie it up, thus having a maroon colored hair tie around her wrist just in case she needed to. She doesn't like carrying her wand inside her pocket, afraid of it being broken or snapped into half. Luckily enough, her father did give her his old holster although it looks like a small long thin bag, not one of them that you could wear like a belt. She can't just leave her wand after all. Who knows when it'll come in handy, especially in emergency situations. Raizel does have a satchel with her that she always carries around but that was currently full with a bunch of delicacies that she had taken during their lunch for afternoon snacks and to share with her friends.
She isn't just here to enjoy the view and reminisce about what had happened in the previous month. She is here to hang out with some friends who decided to have a small and short picnic by the lake and under the autumn leaves. It was a nice place as long as they didn't go swimming in it. The lake is off limits for swimming but that doesn't seem to stop a couple of few students from taking a dip. Of course, she only heard about that while she was walking around in the castle, and hasn't witnessed anyone taking a swim in it just yet. Looking around, it doesn't seem like anyone is at the moment which is good. She closed her notes as she looked back at the lake once again, recalling how she never learned how to swim which is kind of a bummer. Who knows when it will come in handy. Perhaps she should get someone to teach her someday and somewhere safe and not off limits to them. Where she wonders, that she doesn't know.
Raizel pulled out her wand boredly, giving it a lazy swish. She could practice a couple of spells as she waits but what could she do? She pointed it towards the lake, thinking about the fire-making spell that she learned before shaking her head. Would it be too dangerous to use that? She is pointing it at the water. She shrugged before standing up from the rock that she was sitting on, moving a bit closer to the water. She quickly made a flame shaped gesture much like what she learned in class before speaking out the incantation. "Incendio!" A jet of flame shot out from her wand but once it hit the water, it just dissipated into nothing but vapor. That actually felt good and getting it on the first try was something, enough to make her smile.

A Relaxing Sunday Afternoon
The cool breeze was refreshing feel to Alana. The young girl inhaled the sweet autumn smell deeply. The breeze ruffled Alana's fiery red hair, the red haired girl decided to not wear her school uniform after all there was no reason or point to. Instead the young girl opted into wearing a jasper colored long sleeve. The sleeves were slightly flowed at the end the long sleeve was adorned with golden flowers scattered on it. The young girl wore a pair of raven black pair of skin tight pants. She also had a pair of black leather boots on her feet.
Alana was heading towards the Great Lake to meet up with her small group of Gryffindors. The red haired girl hummed happily as she skipped down towards the Great Lake. Alana skipped happily soaking in the illuminating sunlight as it rained down on the fair skin girls delicate skin. The sunlight made her fiery red hair sparkle in the sunlight almost looking like a raging fire. Her sea-foam bluish green eyes radiated with happiness and joy.
As the young girl made her trek towards the Great Lake Alana grew a wide grin as she noted the sunlight reflecting across the vast dark lake. The Great Lake was shaded a dark color one could rarely see anything that could be lurking in the vast Lake. Alana hummed as she stood on a small slope that lead down towards the lake. Alana stood still for a bit watching over the large vast lakes her eyes radiated happily the young red haired girl rocked back on her heels for a bit. Her gaze towards the lake Alana glanced down towards the lake her gaze landed upon a figure that the young girl noticed right away a grin appeared on her face. Rushing down towards the lake Alana noticed Raizel standing close to the water.
"Hello there Raizel! That was really cool what you did their! What spell was that?"
The small red haired girl smiled happily over at Raizel her eyes sparkled with interest. Alana moved closer to Raizel looking across the vast lake.

A Relaxing Sunday Afternoon
It was early in the afternoon on a Sunday, which means that the young red head could catch up on some studies, but he didn’t want to do so in the library as usual. As Argahlon sat on the edge of his bed with two books clutched up under his right arm and side, he began to ponder of a good spot where he could relax and get some studying done, then it finally hit him, and he quickly stood from the bed. That was when Arg walked at a faster pace than normal to get out of the common room and to where he thought was a good spot.
The castle was riddled with moving stairs, portraits, and even ghost that would pop out of doors and walls to casually get wherever they wanted. It was weird to him at first, but exciting at the same time, which would mean that he could easily get used to this lifestyle. Once he finally made it to the exit of Hogwarts castle, he stopped and took in the heat from the sun, while a nice cool breeze swept over the area, causing his black robes to blow along with it. He smiled wide and continued forth to a path that would lead him down towards the lake he was hearing stories about.
With the cool breeze hitting his face as he walked down the path, Argahlon took in the sights of the variety of plant life that was spread throughout the grounds of the castle, while holding onto the books tightly so they wouldn’t fall while walking quickly along the path. Each step the young red head took only caused him to become even more excited about the school year. Not only because of the amazing things he will learn over the next several years, but the friends he will make in the process of it all. There was no doubt in his mind this was going to be the best time of his life.
Just as he turned the corner of the path, he noticed someone up ahead, then the very large, and the beautiful lake, along with yet another person. It was at the moment he saw the last person when what looked like a ball of fire being shot out at the water of the lake. He smiled wide once more and continued down the path until he finally met up with the two others. Argahlon couldn’t help but to see exactly what was going on. “W-was that fire you shot at the water? Do it again!” He said with excitement, hoping to get an encore from Raizel.

It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon, the autumn was still young in the highlands but the chilly breeze was already giving the grace of its presence, spreading caresses at its passage and making the yellow, red and brown leafs dancing at its soft pace. Ying always liked this time of the year, it’s vivid and bright colors, the end of a circle that it represented, the temperature that was far more comfortable for her, even the need for an extra cloak or something warmer felt cozy. The fireplaces were finally being lit every night, spreading its soft light and warmth, like a warm and sweet hug.
Pacing down the hill at the Hogwarts’ grounds Ying was feeling happy that day. The sun was shining in the sky with his yellow and orange rays giving the atmosphere the right light to emphasise the beautiful landscape. She was happily walking holding her Charms’ study book under the right arm, her steps always confident and joyful, stepping on the dry leaves, cracking them with a soft and pleasant sound.
She didn’t had to walk for long when she started to hear familiar voices coming from down closer to the Great Lake. She accelerated her steps immediately, almost running, wanting to join her friends and curious to see what they were doing in there. When she could finally see clearly, Raizel, Alana and Argahlon, the three of them seemed to be having a nice conversation. “Hey guys!” She happily greeted with a smile, “What are you guys up too?” She asked looking curious from one to another of her friends.

Who would've thought that in just a month, she had already learned a few spells. While some of them require more practice, the few that she had finally taken a grasp of were enough to feel so proud. Raizel was so caught up with her thoughts that she didn't even notice Alana had approached her. Her eyes were on her wand and the water, thinking of giving it another go or perhaps going for a different spell but what else could she be doing.IC date: Oct. 2, 2022|Sunday, Afternoon

"Hello there Raizel! That was really cool what you did there! What spell was that?"
The voice of someone familiar behind her reached her ears, making the brunette turn her head towards the source, seeing her red-haired friend standing there with a smile and her eyes were full of interest in what she was doing. "Oh, hey there Alana." She greeted her with a smile of her own before looking back at her wand, chuckling. "That was a fire-making spell." She answered with a grin, giving her wand a couple of twirls.
“W-was that fire you shot at the water? Do it again!”
This time, it was Argahlon who arrived. Seems like everyone is getting together now. She thought about that. It wouldn't do any harm to do it again and she is practicing. Being able to do it the second time would be awesome though. "Sure, why not." She replied to Argahlon, her focus back on the water as she pointed her wand to it once again. She was just about to cast the spell when she heard footsteps approaching, making her glance back briefly and saw Ying had just arrived as well.
"Oh, you're just in time. Just about to show the Fire-making spell." Raizel told Ying before getting her focus back on the spell. Rules of charms: concentration, precision, enunciation. She took a deep breath, quickly doing a flame shaped gesture with her wand. "Incendio!(in-SEN-dee-o)" She casted, pronouncing it as clear as possible as she could. Much like before, a jet of flame shot out from her wand, heading straight into the water and creating a steam as it dissipated into vapor just like the previous result earlier. "That went well." She uttered with a grin on her face.“Hey guys!” She happily greeted with a smile, “What are you guys up too?”

As the chilly Autumn breeze gently brushed passed the trio. Alana watch Raizel practice the fire making charm. The fiery red haired girl smiled brightly as the chilly air nipped at her button shaped nose and ears. Her fiery red hair shifted slightly in the the gently frigid breeze. Her sea-foam teal blue eyes focused on Rai a gently warm smile appearing on her freckled covered face.
Alana turned her attention behind her noting Argahlon's appearance. His red hair sparkled in the sunlight as well. He seemed excited seeing Rai shoot out fire from her wand. Alana defiantly agreed seeing the fire charm was amazing none the less which was intriguing and the spell would come in handy as well for certain things as well. Especially during this chilly weather a nice little bonfire would be peaceful or having a nice campout one day would also be exciting.
Hearing another pair of footsteps come towards the trio now making them a quartet. Looking over in the direction of Ying Alana grew a large grin her freckled covered face seemed to brighten in the radiant sunlight. The sunlight reflected off of the Great Lake making it seem to sparkle in the sunlight. Alana turned her attention back to Raizel as the young girl casted the fire making spell once again over the lake.
Alana clapped her hands smiling brightly at Raizel the young fiery red haired girl was extremely impressed even though she has seen many spells shown to her by her family though she seemed to never pay that close enough attention. The sea-foam teal blue eyed girl stared at Raizel her grin shining brightly at the brunette in front of her.
"That was amazing Raizel! You are extremely talented! How did you learn that spell?"
Alana cocked her head to the left side curiously looking Raizel she was very curious on how the young girl knew such an amazing spell. That had to take time and a good amount of learning how to use it properly. The fiery red haired girl smiled curiously Raizel her fiery red locks blowing gently in the frigid breeze. Her sea-foam blue green eyes sparkled with pure curiosity. As the frigid chilly air brushed against the quartet. The fresh fallen life-less leaves danced in the gentle breeze. Alana continued to smile curiously and brightly at Raizel.

Ignore the brown hair.

Ignore the brown hair.
A gust of wind grazed Avorra, her ivory hair gliding with the breeze. On this delightful Sunday afternoon, she decided to get a breath of fresh air and walk the Hogwart's grounds. She wore a relatively new outfit - a purple cold-shoulder top with some simple embroidery, along with a set of jeans to compliment the look. She even had a new set of purple-white shoes that she hadn't quite gotten used to wearing yet. To finalize her appearance, she wore her typical silk collar, also a rich purple. It went with most of her outfits, hence why she wore it so often. Her wand lay hidden in her back pocket, in case she ever needed it.
She had no destination in mind today, but she found herself drawn to the Great Lake. It was quite the walk, but the view was well worth it. As she came closer to the shoreline, she heard a set of voices. A few were familiar, but there was a couple that she didn't recognize. Before she could greet them, a jet of flame burst from the shore to the lake, extinguished into vapors just as quickly as it had been released. Somebody was having fun practicing. Avorra crept ever closer, not bothering to increase or decrease her present pace. She'd get there in due time.
When Avorra finally approached the group of fire, she immediately recognized two faces - Raizel and Ying! The other two faces, however, she'd never met before. Perhaps now was a good time to make some new friends? Avorra certainly had trouble towards the beginning of the school year with socializing, but she was slowly becoming more acquainted with it.
"Raizel! Ying! Peculiar meeting you two here. What are the chances?" The pale witch called out from behind, situated on higher ground. As she made her way down, the light dancing off her silver skin, she greeted the other two faces she didn't recognize. "Avorra Vaylen, at your service. Might I ask your names?" Her emerald eyes flickered with an alluring radiance.

Raizel seemed to be more than happy to put on an encore for the new crowd that was slowly approaching. Even Ying decided to see what all the fuss was about. The flame was conjured up and shot out towards the water once more with amazing speed. It bowed in mid-air, then finally hit the water, and instantly turned to vapor. It was amazing for some of the first year students such as Argahlon to witness a cool spell as Incendio. He only knew a few spells that were nothing compared to the fire making spell, which gave the young red head some motivation for future lessons. “That was really cool!” He admitted excitedly.
It wasn’t long after witnessing the fire making spell when an unfamiliar voice shouted out the names of Raizel and Ying, which scared the young red head to death. He tripped over his robe and stumbled around until crashing into Alana, causing them both to fall right into the shallow water of the lake. The water splashed up and most likely got everyone around a little wet, but Argahlon couldn’t help but to laugh at himself before rolling over to see if Alana was fine. “Oh my, I am so sorry. Are you okay?! I was just startled and this darn robe. It’s huge! Stepped right on it and BAM.” He spoke with concern in his voice, pulling himself up and reaching down in the process to help Alana back up to their feet.
Argahlon was soaked from head to toe, so he ripped off the robe, which was not easy because the wet cloth was stuck to his clothes underneath and his body. He dropped the black robe on the grass and looked at Raizel for a moment. “Mind doing it one more time? It would help us get our clothes dry. Build us a campfire with Incendio! You have no idea how much we would appreciate it!” He asked, while pulling the white soaked sleeves up over his forearms. Arg glanced over at the pale girl who nearly scared him to death and smiled lightly with a nod. “Sorry about that there. I didn’t expect another visitor so I jumped out of my skin at the sound of your voice. Name’s Argahlon Vexius by the way.” He admitted.

Ying went down the small hill with careful not wanting to slip and slide her way down instead. That wouldn't be nice, not to mentions it would be embarrassing! "You're making a fire spell?" She asked to Raizel reaching towards her friends, "That's cool! I wanna try too!" She admitted enthusiastically watching while her friend aimed her wand towards the lake casting a powerful jet of flames towards the dark shining waters. As soon as it touches its surface the flames transformed into a silvery mist. "Woah! That was awesome Rai!" Ying said congratulating her house mate. Joining Alana's clapping with enthusiasm.
Was when a familiar voice came from behind her that Ying turned on her heels to greet her friend back, "Hey Avorra! It's awesome you..." But Ying never got the chance to finish her sentence because a sound of someone tripping and falling into the water called her attention back to the lake sight. Arg and Alana fell into the shallow waters of the lake and Ying gasped covering her mouth with her right hand during a second of concern for her friends, but that feeling washed out of her as soon as he heard Argahlon start to laugh with the whole situation, so she knew they were okay. Well...soaked in ice water, but okay!
Ying walked closer to Alana, worried with her but at same time she couldn't avoid her chuckles for coming out her lips, "Are you okay?" She asked resting her hand on her friend's shoulder, then she took off her cardigan and draped it around Alana's shoulders. "You two must be freezing!" Ying stated with worry wrapped around her words. "I'll gather some wood and make a fire so you two can warm and it will help dry your clothes!" She offered while leaving the group to go closer to the trees to find some branches to use to build a fire. When she thought she had collected enough, she went towards her friends and piled it together so it could be lit with a fire spell. Taking her wand from her pocket she aimed it to the gathering wood and said: "in-SEN-dee-o." making a flame motion with her mayhaw wand, a jet of flames went out of its tip lighting the leafs and twigs. "Come closer you two, we don't want you to be sick!" She said with a gentle smile, rubbing her hands together to help warm them up.

It was a surprised that the second try of doing the spell succeeded without any troubles. For a second there, Raizel thought that the spell would just backfire at her. Her head turned to Alana. "Well, that was taught in our herbology class. You probably just missed it. It's there somewhere in our lesson. Quite fun to learn actually." She answered her question, keeping her wand back into the wand bag. Before Would be wrong to call it a wand holster when it looks like a bag.
She then watched Ying perform the same spell, giving her a thumbs up as soon as she saw her performing it with ease. "Maybe we could try more spells later on… unless you guys just want to relax." She suggested in case they have spells that they want to show as well. This place is quite safe for them to perform spells without the danger of hitting people, aside from each other anyway.
Argahlon had caught her attention who was more excited than her when she performed the spell and she can't help but chuckle at his reaction to it. It was nice to have supportive friends. At that time, she heard the voice of someone familiar, seeing Avorra joining them. But just as she was about to greet her back, the sight of Argahlon startling and tripping on his robe stopped her from doing so. She watched the scene unfold before her eyes. It was like one of those scenes that you'll see in movies. He tripped, bumping into Alana who was too into clapping. She flinched just as they landed into the water of the lake's shallow part. "That's… an interesting development." She remarked, snickering at the sight.
She was about to find something that she could use for a small campfire but Ying was already making her move so she didn't bother doing so. Raizel started walking up a bit, looking over to Avorra and showing her a smile. "That was an interesting scene you just stumbled into."
