CL The first magical ride pv: Lilliana Havenmore

───── Lilliana glanced at the train in front of her apprehensively before reluctantly stepping in. This was it. It was the start of the next seven years of her life, and she was utterly terrified. This moment had replayed through her mind for years, what she was going to do, how she would act. But all that was forgotten as reality set in.

Lilliana wore a sleeveless green shirt and a thin white cardigan on top. Brown ankle boots were clasped to her feet, pinching at her toes. She also wore a pair of jeans, slightly worn out. Her whitish-blond hair was straight, going down to her mid-back.

She held onto her bag tightly, knuckles pale. She peered into compartments, searching for one that wasn’t full. She walked for a while, her anxiety growing with each step. Finally, she found a compartment with one other person in it. Lilliana let out a sigh of relief. Thankfully, not all of the compartments were full. She took a deep breath before going in.


Lilliana quickly set her trunk on the rack above her, before facing the other person in the compartment. “I’m Lilliana Havenmore. What’s your name?” The girl said gingerly, her voice tentative. She smiled softly. She glanced at the window, before looking back at them. “Are you excited to go to Hogwarts?”

André started to lose hope that someone would come into the compartment, he looked away from the door and out the window looking at all the witches and wizards that were seeing the family off.

Thankfully someone had walked in! The first thing André noticed about her was her blond almost white hair. She introduced herself as Lilliana Havenmore, "Hello Lilliana. Its nice to meet you, My name is André thanks for asking!" he was a bit more cheerful then he would normally be, he was just happy that he didn't have to be alone.

His face lit up at her next question. Was he excited? Naturally he was! "Umm yeah I'm really excited about it! I hope I get then same house as my sister, and I'm excited for the spells that were going to be learning. " Again being talkative, he noticed this himself and quickly looked away. But he quickly started up again.

"So are you excited? What house do you think you'll get? Are you a first year to? Sorry for all of these questions" He asked, with a slight laugh at the end. He hoped that Lilliana would be his first friend at hogwarts that wasn't his sister.

─────“Hello Lilliana. It’s nice to meet you, My name is André thanks for asking!” They had told her. It wasn’t too hard to tell that they were relieved someone else came into their compartment. Their cherry demeanor made Lilliana soften, and she crossed her legs in a comfortable position while letting her posture loosen just a little.

After Lilliana asked her question, André had answered her, saying that he was excited. “I hope I get the same house as my sister, and I'm excited for the spells that we’re going to be learning.”Spells. That word caught Lilliana’s attention, and drowned out the rest of the sentence. The girl felt that the word should come with a pair of fireworks, an explosion of some sort.

A ton of new fantasies, weaved its way through Lilliana’s mind, sending numerous jolts of tingles up her spine~ Lilliana realized she was on the train right now, and she brought herself back to reality, though the thoughts were still lingering through her mind. She nodded, a beat too late, but she ignored that. “What class are you looking forward to most?” She asked them, with a gaze out the window.

When he asked her if she was excited, she took a moment before answering, “I’m definitely excited, I’ve heard about Hogwarts so much, but I’ve never got to see it! And I’m really excited to get a chance to use my wand.” She grinned, and remembered back to the day when she got her wand, and had to snap herself back to reality again.

“What house do you think you’ll get?” This question had definitely stumped Lilliana, her smile faded away into more of a hypothetical look. Which house did she belong in? Her dad went to Slytherin, but she saw herself more as a Ravenclaw, or maybe even Gryffindor— no, not really, Hufflepuff fit her. But, I’m a Hufflepuff only on certain occasions… She sighed.

Her face felt flushed when she responded, “Honestly, I have no clue. My dad was a Slytherin but I don’t know, I feel like I could belong in any house.” She shrugged, “Well, what about you?” She asked. Lilliana may have been trying to push the subject away from her, but she felt kind of awkward discussing it. She didn’t feel like she belonged in any house.

He asked an additional question, whether she was a first year and she nodded eagerly, “Yep.” She told André. She smiled, looking out the window as the last of the students got on. “I can’t wait!” She said, her expression cheery. She sat up straight in her seat, waiting for the train to start moving.

André could tell that Lilliana was relaxing just a bit. He hadn't scared her off! So that was a good thing. Her question about classes had him stumped for a moment. "Is all of them an answer?" He laughed. He really didn't know what one he was looking forward to most. "I guess if I had to choose one, it would be defence against the dark arts. How about you? What one are you looking forward to?" he asked with a smile.

She responded to his next question saying that she was also excited, and she mentioned her wand. "Ahh yes. Our wands!" He was probably excited for everything but also kinda nervous. When he asked about houses he noticed her smile fade, He started to think maybe he shouldn't have asked it..

Thankfully she did answer it, he was thinking she was a muggle born and didn't know what the houses were. He only knew because of his sister so he wouldn't have judged. Lilliana told André that her father was a Slytherin, "I hope to be in Ravenclaw! That's my sisters house, but I think I could probably fit Gryffindor to. I'm not sure though" he laughed a small bit.

She was a first year to! This was great!! "Hey maybe we'll have some classes together!! That would be great! " It would be for him, it would be nice to know someone ahead of time.

─────Lilliana’s question seemed to have to make André think. She didn’t blame him, there were a ton of exciting classes she wanted to try. "Is all of them an answer?" He said with a laugh. Lilliana laughed too, but then he answered, "I guess if I had to choose one, it would be defence against the dark arts. How about you? What one are you looking forward to?"

Her? This sent the girl into thought. She already had a list, cautiously selected after a ton of thought, and daydreaming. But that ‘list’ had nearly every subject on it. “I’m not sure, maybe Charms.” Lilliana said, “Wait, no, Potions.” She shrugged, “Really, anything except Flying.” The mere thought of getting on a broom in front of a whole class? She shuddered, that was terrifying.

After she told him about getting to (finally) use their wands, André commented, "Ahh yes. Our wands!" She nodded. Lilliana had been fascinated when she got her wand, and the prospect of the wand choosing the wizard intrigued her. Plus, there were so many wand woods and cores! She could spend so long fawning over them.

“What wand did you get?” The question came out of her mouth before she knew it. “You know,”She stumbled, “If-if you're fine with sharing.” She didn’t like asking too many questions all at once, wouldn’t want to scare her first potential friend at Hogwarts.

"I hope to be in Ravenclaw! That's my sisters house, but I think I could probably fit Gryffindor to. I'm not sure though." Her mood slightly uplifted. Maybe the two would get to be in the same house. That would be awesome. She told herself. Lilliana began wanting to be in Ravenclaw too.

Lilliana told André she was a first year too, and her replied, "Hey maybe we'll have some classes together!! That would be great!” She then forgot all about the complications with houses. Having classes together would be more than great, it would be nearly perfect! The soon to be First Year was probably exaggerating things just a tad, but she didn’t care. Everything was coming together so perfectly so quickly.

It looked as if Lilliana knew what one she wanted as much as André knew. So not very much, she keep changing her answer. Understandable. All of them had to be interesting!! He nodded when she said anything but flying. "Not that I don't hate flying, I'm just not really interested in it." the young boy said with a shrug.

“What wand did you get?” "if-if you're fine with sharing" that was probably the best question asked yet! André was very very happy about his wand. It was probably the best thing ever! "I'm more then ok with sharing! Its aspen wood, with a Phoenix feather core!" he took a pause to think. "If I remember correctly, its 33,7 cm. But I could be off? I think its very cool, if I say so myself. " he continued.

Oops. He rambled didn't he? "umm... How about you?" he asked. Wands were actually very interesting, with all the different types. And how certain things are attracted to certain types of wizards.

"I wonder what our classes will be like, and our professors! I hope there nice... Same with our classmates" he laughed a bit. What if they were mean? Or they gave out lots of home work? 'Nooe. No time for what ifs.' The first year though to himself. He was just going to find put when he got there.

───── Lilliana grimaced. At the mention of flying, her mind raced to a bunch of scenes of her falling off her broom, hurtling towards the ground-- Snap out of it! Lilliana reminded herself, squeezing her eyes shut, and washing away the thoughts. Lilliana felt slightly better when André said that they didn't like Flying much either. Lilliana nodded, "I don't know, part of me thinks that Flying sounds super fun, but then the other side is making me worry I'm going to fall off my broom and break my back." Lilliana smiled slightly.

When Lilliana saw André's face light up when she asked him about his wand, a grin rose on Lilliana's face, the girl becoming more and more excited. When they explained, Lilliana tried picturing what the wand looked like and felt. Aspen Wood and Phoenix Feather, Lilliana thought to herself. The wand wood and core were pretty popular, compared to hers, at least. But there were so many different kinds of wands, and they meant certain stuff too! There was some saying, what was it-- oh right! The wand chooses the wizard. That especially intrigued Lilliana.

They asked about her, and Lilliana had to think before answering. Her wand core was very... abnormal. She just needed to remember-- "Oh! I know, it is Willow wood and..." Lilliana paused for a moment, giggling a little, "Willow wood, and apparently something called Snallygaster Heartstring," She laughed. The first year had heard of Dragon Heartstring, though she wasn't familiar with Snallygaster, whatever it was. When she had gotten her wand, and informed what the core was, her face was slightly bewildered, though she did still like her wand.

Lilliana nodded at André's comment. She had wondered how things would go-- She hoped the teachers weren't too strict, or that their classmates were rude. She had a picture-perfect image of Hogwarts envisioned in her mind which she didn't want to see fall~ Snap out of it! Lilliana diverted her attention away from the concerns that were beginning to form, "Yeah, me too. I'm kind of worried that Hogwarts isn't as spectacular as I've always imagined it to be-- but I'm sure there are many great things to look forward to there,” Lilliana said, trying to lighten up the mood.

André had a feeling based on how she was acting, Lilliana was not a fan of flying. At least that she wouldn't enjoy the activity. The least he could do was attempt to comfort her, that would be the nice and good thing to do. "Im absolutely sure that there are precautions to make sure that were safe when flying. And really the only required flying is with the class, right?" he wasn't sure if that helped but, he tried.

A look of confusion passed the boys face, snallygaster? what in the world was that? willow trees he had heard of once or twice. Snallygaster sounded like something the cat would drag in. "What the heck is a Snallygaster?" Perhaps Liliana knew, it was her wands core after all. He wondered if his parents had ever heard of the beast. The proforcers most likely did.

"I hope your right, I think there are plenty of things! Im really exsided about it all, most of the things ive herd about it come from my sister. Shes the first one in my family, that I know of, who went to hogwarts." so she had hardly experienced much if anything about hogwarts. Only one year under her belt. "Im sure its amazing though!" he stated. Even with his little knowledge, he knew that much.

───── Lilliana nodded, “Yeah, hopefully it won’t be that bad!” Lilliana said, speaking more to reassure herself than to respond to André. The blond haired girl gave a short laugh, “Probably making a big deal over nothing!” She nodded. It’ll be fine! Who knows, it may even be some fun, She thought to herself.

Soon after, they begun talking about wands. That was definitely a fun topic! There were so many different wand options, how could wandmakers remember them all? — “What the heck is a Snallygaster?” André asked, cutting her thoughts off. Lilliana grinned, getting herself in a comfortable position before beginning to speak, in an animated tone.

“I had wondered that too!” She exclaimed, before quickly continuing on, “I had later found out it was, like, good at defensive spells and stuff like that,” She concluded. Alright, maybe that wasn’t the most interesting tale… “A snallygaster sounds exotic, don’t you think?” She added. Well, it sounded more like a sneeze, but the name certainly was interesting.

“Yeah, lot’s of the things I’ve heard have been from been from other people… It’ll be awesome to see it for myself the first time!” Lilliana said. Her heart felt fluttery just from talking about it, “You have a sister?” Lilliana asked, “That’s so cool! I don’t really have any siblings of my own,” She shared. Lilliana always wondered what it was like to have siblings, her house was normally so quiet, it being just her and her aunt… How would it be with a sibling? “I can’t wait!” Lilliana said, looking out the window.
