Hi Mom and Dad,
I'm at school now and all settled in. I'm trying hard to make some new friends. I think it's working, I think I'm making friends.
Classes will start very soon, and I have all of my books. I got sorted into my house, I'm a Gryffindor! I am starting to read my books and learn things.
Today, I learned about "pre-orbital glands", some deer and monsters have them.

I'm going my homework and keeping up in class, don't worry. But books are still very boring and some of them here smell funny.
What do I do if my sock smell funny? I guess I will wash them again in the sink.

Hi mom and dad, classes have started and I'm starting to read my books and study and do homework. Some classes are harder than others but I have enough material to study, and there's even the library that I haven't visited yet. I've just been so busy! I even joined a club, the nature club.
Don't worry if won't get in the way of school.
Also i wanted to tell you that my first book assignments have come back and I earned an E and an O, which means that I did very good abs very very good. I didn't have any report card grades yet for the semester but this shows great progress towards perfect grades. Anyways need to get back to studying now, LOVE YOU

Dear mom and dad,
I have been so busy with school, I forgot to write.
I have been getting the best grades possible. I am doing well in school. There was a special event to earn more house points - it's basically extra credit - and I did the whole thing. It was a lot of work. It took maybe 30 hours of work. You would be so proud of me.
I haven't found anything that would help me to be a lawyer, but my friend says that I need to learn how to study and take better notes. He says that going to lawyer school, called law school, is very hard and I won't make it unless I up my game. He showed me how he re-writes his notes, and uses highlighters, and how I can create extra notes in the margins of existing notes. He also writes in his text books but I think that's horrible.

I've been afraid to write. A friend said that I should write especially for that reason otherwise I'll just keep feeling guilty. My grade average dropped to an E. I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to! I've been trying my best, honest!
In Charms class, Professor Fresnel gave me an A because I missed 15% because I forgot about the number of words I had to write and another 10% for spelling. I'm so embarrassed.
Then when I got my flying homework back from professor Lin, I missed 15% because I they were really picky! It wasn't fair! I was so proud of my homework I thought for sure I'd get a good grade.
I don't know what to do, I'm so sad. My friend told me that I should just keep trying harder. A different friend said I should check my homework better before turning it in.

Thanks again for letting me attend Hogwarts to live my dream of becoming a better wizard. I just felt that Mahoutokoro was not the right school for me. I know that I am so far away from home, and that you miss me, and that you love me.
Aunt Bee is taking good care of me. She writes me a letter every week. Yes, I do reply every week. I always make sure to mind her well when I am there, and to do my chores, and to brush my teeth.
I think I am getting a new tooth in.
I am doing well with my homework. I am all caught up on all of my first year homework. I am still waiting for 2 grades, but currently I am getting a 2.7 GPA, which is an O. I checked with five teachers and six students and I tried to see the headmaster but the head of my house came to speak with me instead and everyone told me that O is the highest letter grade. Please don't worry about me, I am doing very, very well! Even the head of my house says so. It was very nice of them to take some time to come and speak with me, they even offered me some tea, but I said no because there was no cream or sugar available.

Yesterday I found the latest photo that you sent me of her, it had slipped between my desk and the wall so I used a charm that made it stick to the window, so I can always see her face when I do my homeworks. Her cheeks are so puffy in that photo! Please send me a new photo soon.
Julia and Mees send me a beautiful holiday card, please tell them thank you the next time that you see them. I also got a card from Agatha, and a card from Noah. Agatha lives in Denmark and Noah in Netherlands, right? Noah offered for me to come and visit one summer. I would love to! When I am not busy helping out around home, of course. Please say yes, please say yes!
I heard that Gran and Kanok might be expecting a new baby soon! I can't wait to be an uncle again! I want to pinch their little cheeks! When they are old enough, of course.
Please tell my elephant Pat-Pat that I am doing well and that I miss him and please give him a winter melon, he likes to eat fruit, he has a big sweet tooth.
