Nancy has a pet ferret named Emrys. I thought that ferrets fit her personality best and would be easiest for her to keep in the greenhouse with her (plus I found an adorable one as the FC). I would have chosen a cat but there are a lot of houseplants that are not safe for cats and there was no telling what magical plants could do to them.

I also chose a ferret his names Slinky Binx and I chose them because one I love ferrets and two they are mischievous like Thorn

André has a snowy owl, His name is Miko. I chose a snowy owl specifically because I thought the idea of a near all white owl was very cute. And an owl in general so that André could send letters back and fourth with his own pet.
