I want to adopt a cat, but my family does not want it to scratch the seat. How can we make it not scratch?

Well one option would be to declaw the cat but that is taking away its main defense from predators if it were to get out
Another choice would be to adopt a laid back cat that isn’t going to scratch a lot. Chose a cat that is calm and chill or a already declawed cat

i'm not sure if you know this but declawing a cat is one of the worst things you could do to reduce it's quality of life... (iirc there were some bills that were made(??? not sure if they passed) that made declawing cats illegal)
you could always just buy some claw caps instead !!

Yeah just know that declawing a cat is something to avoid doing but adopting a previously declawed cat would prevent you from having to declaw the cat

ohh yeah- i assumed you meant adopting a clawed cat and then declawing it and i was like "please dont do that!!!" (if you couldn't tell i love cats alot lol)
