Closed ~A Lonely Lake Visit~

Ivy's week was boring and dull. Well, most of her weeks were boring and/or dull. But she had expected her first week of Hogwarts to be, well, y'know. Magical. She sighed as she looked around, seeing other people happy and surrounded by people. She woke up every morning to go to the common room and see people chatting with each other. She was too shy to walk up to people and try to make friends. Maybe it was because she was worried about embarrassing herself. Maybe it was the years and years of her sister stealing her friends and confidence. Possibly both. She sighed as she walked around the halls and finally decided to go look around the lake. The lake was one of the only places she hadn't been that week. Surprisingly, barely anyone was out there, so Ivy felt completely at ease. She sat down at a spot by the lake and pulled out a book. She had wanted to bring her collection of comic books, but feared she wouldn't be allowed to bring them. She wished her father was here. He was one of the best people in her life. He was there for her when no one else was. Obviously he never understood how she felt, him being a man and a muggle, but he tried to cheer her up and make her feel happy. Her mother never had the trouble Ivy did, her being an only child and fairly popular, but her dad had many brothers and was a loner like her. Most people thought she should spend more time with her mum to learn traditional stuff, But her mum never had time for her. Her dad was always there. But her dad wasn't here. She was alone, without friends, and without family. But she could survive. She'd have to branch out a little, that's all. She sighed and went back to her book.
