Father, Solo

Father,

It only been a day and already I am writing to you. I made some grave mistakes already. Please forgive me if you are alert to any of them during my time here at Hogwarts.

I was accepted into the Ravenclaw house, just like you. I was afraid of going into the Slytherin house, and the Sorting Hat nearly did just that if I wasn't begging for it not to. I know that the Sorting Hat never made a mistake once throughout its years of sorting, but there is always that chance that it could, correct?

I wrote this letter to you to tell you that I am doing fine (well, as fine as possible for now) here at Hogwarts. It's more bigger than I expected. To think you and my mother went here and met brings curiosity towards me. I was afraid to ask you about her ever since I was young. I was afraid that you would get upset with me if I dare mention her. But now since I can't see your face and your disappointment, I thought it would be more bearable for me to question you about her through letter.

I can only hope that you tell me good things about her and not just the bad things, for you yourself saw something good in her.

Was she good in her academic studies like you?

Helle Wynne
It would be days later where Ms. Wynne would be getting a response back from her father who she cares very, very deeply about.

Father, Solo
Helle,

Even in lesson made by your mother, you still wish to be in contact on potions and other magical bearings as I noted as you grew up.

However, I feel a tide of pride for you, knowing that you are in the house of Ravenclaw, where I grew up. Maybe its my feeling of father ship, or maybe its my fear of your turning to a darker power as you very well noted in our family history of Slytherins. It came to my knowledge that you are no longer young and naive anymore as I hoped to keep you safe from the magical world, but it would be cruel of me to turn you away from your birthright. Your mother would've choose you to go into the arts of magic.

I hope that in bearing of being a Ravenclaw that you choose a path of righteousness for the better. But even then, I must admit that evil comes from everywhere, and a snake is not necessarily that of pure evil, despite You-Know-Who wandering among its history lineage. And yes Helle, I do know what you did in the Great Hall, as I was given a specific letter on the issue of your misbehavior.

I can only hope that you do not do that again, less you wished to hear your father trail on in a letter about discipline or bring word by mouth with the Sonorus charm as soon as you return home to make absolute sure that you behave once more.

Your mother, despite all the things she had done, was good at heart, and this alone should prove to us as the Wynne family, that we are our own people, and a silly, magical house isn't what makes us in the end. Your mother was loving and dedicated to causes. And unfortunately, she was dedicated to a cause of no-goodness.

But I still loved her to this day, even after I watched her turn into that of a monster. Whenever her spirit may be, I am sure it is now purified from its dark evil that retained it. I have also dug into our family history and came across something rather disturbing for us in our family and I hope it doesn't affect you fully as my daughter.

The first of us in our family to turn to no-good endeavors was Ravenclaw themselves by the name of Daeva Abrecan, an ancestor of ours that was known in historical times as a witch who took people out of their homes to use their bodies to complete terrible spells or potions.

Helle, it was never the problem of being a Slytherin in the family, but rather it is ourselves that is the problem instead. I only beg of you to choose the right path in life that don't bring no-good and selfish behaviors and don't be like your mother, who found potions more worthy than the family she brought together.

Helle read the letter in disappointment to her family heritage and what her father has learned about their family's horrible history. She settled her letter down, deciding to write back only days later to think about her response back to her loving father, and how can she repent the unsettling history of her ancestors before her.
