A New Haven
Brandon had devoted the day to discovering and learning some more about Hogwarts. So far he had made no progress. He had gotten stuck in the middle of a moving staircase, in witch he thought he might die, and the only accomplished was his great need of exercise... Then suddenly, he looked up and came out of his thoughts. "Now here is where I want to be..." He thought. He had found the library. As he entered the room, or rather, a castle, he thought the shelves would never end. They were so high that when students had come down from the ladders, They were exhausted and has sweat dripping down their faces. The different sections were so big, you thought each one was it's own house. Then, they were so many different categories and genres! Some students seemed like they were there to actually read while others seemed to treat the library like social club. This thought angered him, but he thought he would rather ignore it than get all worked up.
He glanced at the long list of sections posted near the entrance of the library. He saw a subject that interested him, Dueling. He looked for where the aisle was for this particular section. Dueling...........Aisle 47. "Great, more exercise!" He thought aloud. Students looked up and glared at him. Brandon ignored and walked down the aisles looking at the numbers on the walls. 39...40....44...47! He jerked to the left and scanned the shelves. Near the bottom he spotted a interesting book. "Spells and Tactics By: Sherman Goodwisk" He swiped it and ran to the counter.
"I'd like to check this out please" He said. The woman staring there looked up from her work. She took out her wand and a piece of paper with a list of names and the book witch they checked out. She tapped the book and the title seemed to float off the page. She put her wand to the paper and muttered something under her breath. "Name?" She asked. "Brandon Bonamarte mamm'"She wrote the words with her quill next to the book on the paper. She then traced her wand from his name to the title of the book. "Here you go..."
Brandon practically tore the book out of her hands and ran to the nearest table. He sat down and dropped the book right in front of him. He opened the book and began to read. "This is my place, my Haven" He thought. This was because the quite let him read, and when he read all his trouble's seemed to sink away into a deep corner in the back of his mind while the information was taken in rapidly. From then on, Brandon treated the library like a close friend...

A New Haven
Rorie was not in the mood for social interaction. She had just yelled at three Slytherin bullies for picking on a fellow first year that was trying to study in the corridor. She had really low tolerance for anyone at the time.
She stormed into the library, muttering obscenities about the Slytherins to the horror of the librarian and other kids trying to study.
Rorie ignored it, just fueling her temper.
She wasn't normally so mad, but people being mean made Rorie extremely angered. She hated those people that picked on other kids. She had been one of the victims once, and made a vow to change that and stick up for the innocent people at Hogwarts.
Walking through the library, she looked through the aisles, finally stopping at one. She went down it and slid a small and shabby book entitled, Forensic Magic: Solving Mysteries with Spells. It seemed interesting, and she could put it into use when she returned home for break to investigate about her father. She checked it out at the front desk and walked back through the library to a table. There was a boy sitting at it, and they looked fine, quite silent and seemingly a first year.
Rorie sat down a few seats away at the wooden table and tied her long, loosely curled blonde hair into a bun. She opened up the book and started reading, wiping the dust from each page.
