Ivy Evans - first year - Hufflepuff

Ivy was born to a witch mother and a muggle father. She was born in London, June 5, 2011. She has an older sister, Gretel, and a younger sister, Jane. Her mother is strict and kind, and doesn't allow any sort of horse play. Her father is a practical jokester and loves comics. Gretel is pretty, tall, and rude. She is also a squib. She hates getting dirty and hates getting bossed around, but is perfectly fine doing the bossing. Jane is nicer to Ivy but always takes Gretel's side. Most of her other family is in america, where her father is from. Her mother never likes to talk about her family, so she doesn't know much about them. She was raised like any other kid should be, with love, compassion, discipline, and kindness. Her older sister, Gretel, would always try to take the spotlight from Ivy, like claiming ivy's drawing were her own, which resulted in her winning the art contest at school. When Gretel would bully Ivy and boss her around, her mother would always come to her rescue, and try to get Gretel to grow up. When Jane was born, things died down a bit between the two, causing Ivy to study more and draw more, and Gretel to get a henchman. When Ivy got older, she and Gretel started clashing more. Finally, Ivy had had enough of staying silent and letting Gretel berate her, and she blew up at Gretel, setting her hair on fire. Gretel screamed as she ran to the bathroom get some water, and Jane passed out. Ivy was in shock, and thought she was a demon or something, and that her parents would abandon her. But her mother pulled her aside and explained her heritage, and that Ivy was actually a witch. Her mother gave her a small lesson on the history of witches and what school taught her was false. Her dad took Gretel to get a wig and afterwards explained what happened. Gretel never treated Ivy the same again. After that incident, Ivy was pulled out of muggle school to be taught magical history by her mum. No spells, just the basic ways of life and how to act in public. On Ivy's 11th birthday, an owl arrived with her letter, something Ivy had been anticipating all day.
