The Spark of an Adventure
The evening light cast it's arm around the Grounds, accompanied by the pink sunset. The water lapped gently on the banks of the shore of the lake, smoothing out the sand and dirt that sat there. A light and melodic chilly breeze swept through the trees of the forest, rustling them ever so slightly. James could hear birds sprinkling the canvas of sound that fluttered all around him. It was peaceful here. Quiet and inviting, where one could be by themselves and do nothing. James’ feet dragged through the grass. A woodpecker sounded off somewhere in the distance as James walked along aimlessly. The clouds overhead were a navy blue and didn’t quite threaten a rainstorm, just lots of shade. Away from the sun, a crescent moon was peeking out from from the wide sheet called the sky. Few stars were beginning to appear, dotting the evening sky.
James’ face was tilted up at the dark blue above him, feeling the wind brush his cheeks, cooling them, and nipping at his nose. He took slow and deep breaths as he continued to walk along as if in a trance. He looked down from the space above and spotted a boulder set into the ground. James pushed towards it and bent his knees to make his perch on the large rock. He sat down with his legs in front of him, surveying the landscape in front of him. And in the very distance, behind all that James was experiencing, was the grand Hogwarts castle. So bold against the scene of nature, and so solid and firm with its standing.
James inhaled deeply and slowly exhaled out. There was no particular reason why he had come out here. He supposed he had wanted to just feel the fresh air. It was nice to be outside, alone and doing nothing every once in a while. In the distance, James began to hear the symphonic chirping of the crickets and the gurgling of frogs.
What lay in wait for him here at Hogwarts? Here in the wizarding world? There was no way for him to be quite sure, but if he knew anything about his future adventures, it was that he wanted some friends to do them with.
James thought of all the people he had met and made friends with so far.
Serena, Kat, Adeline, Ani, Arceus, Alecks, Jenna, Lily, Siege, Christy, Ignatius, Adohiro… a few others too.
He had only been at Hogwarts for a little more than a week, and he already had such good friends! Man, he would love to go on an adventure, but he would love it even more if he could have all his friends with him. Would they go with him? For most of them, it would vary, and really depend on what certain adventure it was. But the problem was, James couldn’t be going on any adventures with them if one didn’t present itself. James had always held fast to his beliefs and his wishes. He had held on to his belief for so long that there was something else out there… something more than his muggle life. And it turns out, there was! Hogwarts! James just had to wish desperately that now, after finding this amazing world, he could do something with his new surroundings.
James pulled his arms in closer as the air began to cool more rapidly. He shivered a bit, looking around at his setting.
It was then, that he saw something, or someone in the distance, and his hope sparked.

I hope it's okay if i can join. If not and you were waiting for someone specific, just ignore my post.
Chloe had had a terrible day and wasn't good at making friends. She had a tendency to speak without thinking, and because of it, she would sound judgmental or rude. She didn't mean it. She never was trying to be judgmental or rude, but that's how it would come across sometimes. She hated it and just wanted to take a walk to clear her head. She wanted more than anything to explore the Forbidden Forest, but students weren't allowed in there. She was walking towards the forest, enjoying the feeling of the breeze in her hair and the sound of the water. She wasn't paying attention to anything- or anyone- else, just walking and thinking.
She did love Hogwarts. She was glad she got to come, she just wished it was easier for her to make friends. She wanted someone to go on adventures with, to explore secrets around the castle. She wanted someone to play Wizard Chess with, not like she knew how to play, but maybe they could teach her.
She watched her feet kick at a pebble on the ground, then turned her focus to the sky, not paying attention to anything. She didn't see the boy sitting on the boulder, didn't see how excited he looked to see someone.
Chloe walked right past the boy to the edge of the forest, staring out to it longingly. She sighed and turned around, knowing she couldn't explore it. That's when she saw the boy sitting there watching her.

Alecks had been walking away from the Owlery, from just sending a letter to a friend, towards Hogwarts when he decided it was time for a break from the indoors. It had been stuffy, hot, and musky everyone he had been, not a single place where he could breath. He turned towards the Forbidden Forest, planning to read his book, I'll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson, against the trunk of a tree on the outskirts of the forest. He Was looking at the ground, breathing softly now that he had air to breath. His hands were lining his pockets, his lilac hair newly trimmed, faint shadows of foundation and eye shadow on his face. 'I wonder if I'll run into anybody I know?' And as soon as he thinks those words, he sees James, just sitting there, admiring the view. And Alecks can see why. The spot that James is in has the ultimate view for the sunset at Hogwarts. The lake splashing against the semi-sandy beach, the sunset reflecting off the lake, it creating a beautiful painting only the world could make. No painting, drawing, or photograph could capture the beauty of a Hogwarts sunset. Alecks gets so lost in the scenery, he barely notices when the stars start to spatter the sky. Alecks walks over to James and hands him the jacket he had been wearing. "You looked cold, I'm fine without it, you know?"
Alecks slides down onto the ground beside James, wondering what to talk about. "So, James, what were you doing out here, and without a jacket? It's pretty cold out here for a normal person, you know that right?" Alecks looked over at James, studying his face, trying to read any emotion that may be written on his face. But he saw nothing, no emotion. Just a purely relaxed person right in front of him.

The Spark of an Adventure
Arceus walked out of the castle and into the cold, dark ground, he had his hands in his pockets and even though the wind was blowing all his hair onto his face he didn't really mind, his head was in the clouds an he was just aimlessly walking, once he had walked for a while he sat down and stared at the beautiful moon, it was just like another star.. only bigger. He lied on the grass, counting the stars and breathing in all the fresh air that you can't find anywhere else. He watched as he breathed out and his breath turned into frost in front of his very eyes.
He was getting up when he thought he saw movement in the corner of his eye and when he went closer to investigate he saw three silhouettes of people, one further away from the other two. He walked up to them and heard talking when he realised who the two talking were, James and Alecksander some people he had met before. He walked up to them and signalled a hello with his hand "Hi.." he said while awkwardly stopping in front of them, he saw they were sitting and plopped down on the floor leaning against a rock for support "How are you guys doing" He asked before relaxing and letting himself slide down the rock and stare up at the stars glistening up in the night sky

'Oh my god, look who it is! Haven't seen him in god knows how long" Alecks looks up at James with a tear in his eye, but he wipes it away quickly, hoping no one that was around him noticed. "oh, um, hey Arceus, long time no see right?" Alecks chuckled awkwardly as he looked back down at the ground, blushing at his own stupidity. "I'm sorry that I can't you know, be normal. I mean, it's boring to be normal but like, just some people-" Alecks felt a sob growing in his chest, but he swallows it down. He never understood why he had emotional issues like this, but he could never control them. Alecks looked back up a Arceus, and straight back down onto his knees. 'Never once have my knees been this interesting, but I'm making a huge fool of myself in front of two close friends and a total stranger! I'm such a frickin' idiot!' Alecks stands up, locking his hands together, and stretches and pops his back. He sinks back down and looks down in shame, trying to just fade away from everything. From everything. But Alecks wanted to stay, he didn't want to scare his friends away, he needed them. He needed someone.

Ani walked out looking at the area, she had just been exploring around the school deciding to check outside. She walked out and looked around her at the others and James. She didn't really say anything as she silently sat down behind. She sat with her knees to her chest, her gaze towards the ground. Ani's thoughts roaming around in an organized chaos. She looked up at the sky than all around her. Ani stayed quiet as she just sat there.

The Spark of an Adventure
Adohiro was walking outside, unsure where he actually was. He hoped he could see anyone he had met in class, but couldn't find anyone. After a bit of walking, he had discovered Alecksander and a blonde boy with him, Arceus, if he recalled. He could see a commotion going on so he turned his head away as if to give privacy to both of them. "Did I come at the wrong time? I greatly apologize if I have." Adohiro spoke and he wondered why Alecksander had noticeable tears in his eyes but decided not to inquire because it would be rude to ask. Did someone make fun of him or was he missing home? "I have some sweets in my backpack. Will sweets make you feel better, Alecksander? You may have some too, Arceus. And you." He spoke, noticing a brown-haired girl he hadn't seen or met. At least not that he remembered. "May I inquire what your name is?" He asked, but then realized there were name tags. "I am sorry, Chloe, that I did not read your name tag. It is nice to meet you, Chloe." Adohiro responded to her with a curt little bow. Realizing he had bowed, he kept on forgetting he wasn't in South Korea and didn't need to bow to everyone.

"Oh hey Adohiro! Not a bad time at all, so yosu are just fine." Alecks wipes the leftover tears off his face hoping Adohiro hadn't noticed, but to his dismay, Adohiro then said, "I have some sweets in my backpack. Will sweets make you feel better, Alecksander? You may have some too, Arceus. And you." I simple, but maybe rude, shake of his head to indicate the anwser no. "I'm fine Adohiro' can I call you Hiro? But yeah, I'm one hundred perent fine, I think I am anyway. Who cares?!" Alecksjumedup and did the worst jazz hands a he spoke these words, hoping it would make him smile, and it did. He was giggling, laughing, and snorting like an idiot for, oh I don't know, the next five minutes. He was so happy that he started singing a song that made him feel fe around newer people.
"My mama told me when I was young
We are all born superstars
She rolled my hair and put my lipstick on
In the glass of her boudoir
"There's nothing wrong with loving who you are"
She said, "'Cause he made you perfect, babe"
"So hold your head up girl and you'll go far,
Listen to me when I say"
I'm beautiful in my way
'Cause God makes no mistakes
I'm on the right track, baby I was born this way
Don't hide yourself in regret
Just love yourself and you're set
I'm on the right track, baby
I was born this way (Born this way)"
Alecks always closed his eyes when he sang, he just listened to himself and the nature around him.

Adohiro knew Alecksander was lying to him but decided to keep quiet about it. It would be embarrassing for him if others found out he was crying. However, he wondered what he was crying over about. When he heard he was fine, he just nodded. "Alright. More sweets for me. Do not ask me for sweets next time you are in need of a sugar rush." He said in a joking tone, smiling. When he heard if he could call him by his nickname, he nodded his head. "Yes, you are not the first to ask and will not be the last. My name is a mouthful and is somewhat difficult for others to pronounce. Hiro is fine." He smiled reassuringly. He was glad he had made a few friends who seemed like keepers. He began to hear Aleksander's amusing singing which caused him to laugh. "You are an interesting person. I look forward to the future with you. I hope we can be on good terms despite being in opposite houses that are known to despise each other." He smiled nervously. He knew Slytherins caused trouble for other Houses and he hoped it wouldn't affect the relationships he had created today.

Chloe, you are more than welcome to join! Thanks for doing so!
Before James knew what was going on, almost as if his thoughts had been heard, and a bunch of friends were instantly summoned, James found himself surrounded by one, two, three, four, five other people!
"Oh my gosh, hey guys!" James exclaimed, looking around at all of them. "I'm surprised to see you all here! I had just been thinking about you all!" James angled himself so he could look at who was all around him. Alecks was sitting next to him on the boulder. Arceus was sitting nearby as well. Adohiro was standing close, with some very tempting sweets. Ani was sitting with her knees curled up to her. And one other girl was there too, one that James had not yet met.
"Hi there!" James said, directing his dialogue to the girl, who's name tag read "Chloe".
"I'm James! How are you doing?" That conversation starter sounded a bit bumpy, but what the heck, who cared?
As James glanced among his friends, he noticed a few glances towards the forest. Students weren't allowed to go in there, but saying it was tempting would be a huge understatement.
"I'm kinda interested in the forest over there..." James said, gazing off at it.
