Quidditch Ravenclaw vs Gryffindor - Winter 2023

Through the chaos of the game in motion, Edme had begun to get caught up in her own thoughts, hardly noticing it when one of their fellow players took a hard hit and nearly tumbled to the ground below. In a quick shot of adrenaline, the second year rushed over and grabbed
the girl out of the air. A quick strike of luck thought Edme to herself.

Somehow, someway, Ravenclaw had pulled the rug out from under them and was giving Gryffindor a solid whooping, Not to mention, Elena was hanging onto Hannah for dear life to make sure she didn't go freefalling through the air yet again. It felt something was missing without her Firebolt along to assist her, like a part of her had been stolen away but but they had to make do with what she got. She gritted her teeth as the announcer either tried to get a rise out of her or maybe it was a very subtle attempt at motivation. "What does he think we're doing down here?" She said huffing as her eyes scanned desperatly for anything, even a speck of gold that lingered for more than just a moment straining her eyes to focus on anything that looked out of place.

It was clear the lions were getting hammered and the only way to put a stop to that was to end this game of hide and seek with the Snitch. Now, she was beginning to understand the vital function of her role as she cast a quick look to gauge the other Seeker, it seemed like he was no closer than she was so perhaps that was a good sign although Elena was sure one of their luck would run out soon and she would rather prefer it not be her's.

2. In the role of Seeker, if an opponent attempts to Bludger or Blatch you, there is a 20% chance that you veer out of the way the last second and another enemy player at RANDOM is targeted instead.

3. In the role of Seeker, when using the search action if you critically fail on your search you get a re-roll in an attempt to find the snitch. In an attempt to grab the snitch, if you critically fail on your attempt to grab the snitch you get to re-roll your attempt to grab the snitch.

Cecily let out a sigh of relief as she transfered back to her own broom. She hadn't had a lot of experiences of being on the back of someone else's, and she could confidently say she was not a big fan of the overall experience. On the not-so-bright side, she was now free to complete her overdue penalty lap before she could jump back in the game. But it was fine. They had this under control.

“Whew!" that was close! Ayuna watched in amazement as her captain was transferred back on to her broom. And by now, even a girl who were sitting on the bench and cheering could see that Ravenclaw was catching up. That will show the lions, the girl thought, raising her fists into the air, and cheered for her team as loudly as she could.

Jorah was angry. His usual humorous and easy-going nature was replaced by something new, something darker. Jorah was still hurting from the previous attack. He embraced that pain. The pain was his friend and Jorah was going to share his friend with the Gryffindorks. Knocking Elena and Hannah off their broom was only the beginning. Next was hitting Pax. Jorah would have liked to destroy their brooms in the process, but there was always next time.

Despite already being a good bit into the game, the Seekers were still struggling to catch sight of the snitch. Two players were off taking penalty laps, while both teams' offensive weapons seemed to be gearing up for another strike against one another. However, the quaffle appeared to be disregarded for the time being, and both teams' hoops were left unguarded...

Winnie is the only person going for the Quaffle, she grabs it all five times.

Eagle-eyed (haha, get it?) as always, Winnie would spot the Quaffle whilst everyone else on the pitch appeared to ignore it. Quick as lighting, she would dart down toward the scarlet leather ball before streaking across the pitch to toss it through the hoops one, two, three, four— wait, what was that?

The beaters on both teams would have no mercy for their opponents. Jorah, ever eager to break yet another broom (never let him into Quality Quidditch Supplies) was already sending a bludger careening toward Jay before anyone even had a chance to blink. The bludger slammed into the first year with a sickening crunch, sending the Gryffindor tumbling off his broom just as he finished his penalty lap. Luckily, his teammate Finnegan immediately spotted his teammate taking a terrible tumble and dashed over to him, swooping him up and catching Jay on his broom. Jorah's bludger ricocheted off of Jay, zooming with a vengeance toward Ethan. The bludger collided with him, but whether it was simply because the bludger had less energy after colliding with another child or because Ethan was simply built different, he was able to stomach the blow without tumbling off his broom.

Damion was also out for blood, as he thwacked a bludger at Pax. However, Damion would not be quite as target as his teammate, and Pax would deftly swerve out of the way, their experience on the pitch undoubtedly aiding their intuition in dodging the deadly weapon.

Back for revenge, Ethan seemed to take a moment to stabilize himself before sending a bludger right back at Jorah. However, his aim would not ring quite as true as his attacker's, something that would likely only come with time and experience. Instead, his bludger flew just to the right of Jorah, just missing the Ravenclaw broom-breaking beater.

Ethan would not be the only Gryffindor with a bat and a taste for revenge, however. Pax would cock back their arm and unleash a beast of a missile toward poor, unsuspecting Winnie, the bludger slamming into her shoulder just as she prepared to toss the Quaffle through the hoop. However, Winnie took it like a champ, and would successfully manage to shove it through the unguarded hoop a fifth time, scoring another ten points for Ravenclaw. The bludger would ricochet off in Cecily's direction, who was currently pressed as low to her broom as possible, trying to complete her penalty lap as quickly as possible in order to get back into the game. The bludger barely missed the blatch-happy Chaser, careening away as Cecily turned another corner.

While their teammates were duking it out, Edward, Elena, and Zoe (although from the latter two, Elena was likely looking for it more closely, while Zoe focused on keeping the two of them out of harm's way) were desperately searching for a tiny golden glint. Edward would squint and peer, but would not manage to catch sight of the elusive Golden Snitch. Elena and Zoe, however, spotted it just as a bludger zoomed by them. Gryffindor had spotted the Snitch, and now it would be a race for the gold.
