Closed A tour through the castle - The Astronomy Tower

It was a cloudy Saturday morning, and Mahlioz was planning to spend the entire day reading in the library. Leaving the Slytherin common room, she started mounting the steps up to the ground floor. She was looking forward to checking out a dozen books and reading them all in an armchair near a cozy fire, surrounded by more books. She had not been to the library at all yet, overwhelmed by the pure stress of being in Hogwarts, but had been dreaming about it thanks to the rumors about it ever since she'd gotten her registration letter.

It had been two (and a bit) days since the young girl had gotten to Hogwarts, and she was nowhere near used to it yet. It felt like everything had changed since the first day, and yet nothing had. She had had several different classes, none of them anything like her old muggle school's, and she knew a few decent spells. She'd gotten trapped in staircases that seemed to go everywhere and nowhere at once, and terrified by the ghosts, and had met a few different people (not exactly of her own free will - she hadn't gotten rid of her introvertedness yet).
But she was still lonely, missed her home and her family, and, most of all, was disappointed in her house. She wondered if that stinging feeling would ever leave. Every time she saw a Ravenclaw, a voice in her head told her it was her own fault she hadn't been placed in that house. She hadn't been a good enough person, hadn't learned enough, hadn't earned a place in the beautiful book-filled Ravenclaw dorm. She'd gotten better at ignoring the little voice, but it was still there and wouldn't let go of her.

Anyway. She'd let her mind wander again. What was she supposed to be doing? Ah yes, the library. Unfortunately, in the few minutes she'd been distracted, the Hogwarts stairs had managed to bring her all the way up to... the astronomy tower? How in the world hadn't she noticed?? Stupid stairs, not again... Grumbling, she was about to turn around to make her way back down again when she realized the door to the classroom was open. Only by a little bit, but enough for the first year to catch a glimpse of what was inside. And dang, it looked interesting. Her curiosity got the better of her and she peeked in.

A boy who looked about her age was wandering around the class. His back was to her so she couldn't see him well but she was amazed by the striking color of his hair - it almost looked like it was on fire. He went from examining the bookshelves in the room (which Mahlioz had to admit looked extremely tempting) to spending some time admiring the view outside, before sitting down in some cushions and staring at the ceiling. He looked so confident and sure of himself, and Mahlioz wondered whether he was allowed to be here or was just faking it. But she was too curious to leave now. So she gathered up her courage, and stepped inside.

"Hello," she said timidly. "Who are you?"

Ever since the 11 year old Violet Grace arrived at Hogwarts castle just two days ago, there were many places she would like to visit and discover. Of course, the learning magic part was exciting, and making new friends too, but she also was excited and super curious about how the castle looked. The castle was very big so it had to involve many interesting places. One of the most interesting places in the castle was the astronomy tower. Violet has been interested in stars, planets and galaxies lately. So astronomy was a class she was curious to learn about. But she also wanted to see the tower, and since it was in a high place, the landscape should be great.

So after she got out of her common room in the dungeons, she headed to the moving stairs and eventually the astronomy tower. The moving stairs annoyed her a bit, she just wanted to get to her destination as soon as possible. But the moving stairs confused her quite a bit! At least now she was glad that her common room wasn’t up there.

Then finally she reached the tower. The door of the classroom was open. Unfortunately, that was when she finally remembered she wasn’t supposed to be here outside of class hours. She got mad at herself for not remembering but then she realized there was someone else, another girl and a boy inside the classroom. She heard the girl’s voice asking the boy who he was.

Violet could leave here and then, and not risk getting into detention for being there outside the class hours. That would be the smartest choice.

Unfortunately, Violet was too much of a curious child. So she hesitantly stepped inside.

“Um..hello” she said shyly to two of them. “Do you know if we…are allowed to see the astronomy tower right now?” She asked hesitantly.

Adya was overwhelmed with various emotions all at once. Happy. Missing. Excitement. Afraid. Nervous. In a snap of a finger, two days were already over. After all this while, Adya's silly mind still went suspicious that it's a dream which she had to wake up from to face the reality. But still, there's no possibility for it to be a dream. Too real to be one, isn't it?

Roaming around the school for the past two days, Adya managed to puzzle out the directions and locations of areas to a certain level. Sometimes she ended up in the wrong class at the wrong time, only resulting in making delayed entrances. Sometimes the stairs wronged her calculations. Why is it both impressive and annoying?

Adya's next destination was the astronomy tower. Pacing upward through the stairs, the young girl could do nothing but hope she ends up in the astronomy tower and nowhere else like many other times. Her legs grew tired after the long stretched time as she climbed up the stairs.

Taking in a gulp of air, she neared the door. From where she stood, her ears caught the indistinct chatter. Adya peeked inside the classroom before stepping in, to double check if it was the Professors although the voices proved otherwise.

The situation supposes she wasn't the only first year driven by curiosity. Glancing between their faces, Adya recognised the other two Slytherins and the boy- a cute one- ahem(she smiled slightly at him- only) supposedly a first year she remembers from the sorting ceremony. "Is this some kind of discussion or secret group meeting... that I walked in on?" As she flickered her eyebrows up as she trudged before dropping herself down to the cushion.
