The Final Compartment
[font=Modern No. 20]Houses. Aureli rolled her eyes slightly, when the boy, who introduced himself asked the questions about houses. It was the same old conversation starter yet again. It was the identical question which had started of her first year, she had been asked the same thing again an again by her friends and family way before the sorting even began. The first years might have been asked a couple of times already. It was more likely that Lucien couldn’t come up with a better topic to ask. Not everyone was very into socialising like how she was.
Then Morelander asked about her last name saying he had a book about pureblood families and then began to blab about his own. Aurelia only caught a few word about what he had said. She was mostly trying to avoid his eyes, it was hard. Most people knew that it was polite to look into someone’s eyes when having a conversation, it was the basics. However, the last person in the compartment she wanted to have a one to one chat with was with one with blue eyes. The blue eyes already made her want to scurry out of the compartment to find a new one.
“Oh, yeah Harcelers. I’ve heard about them.” Aurelia muttered. Looking at the window which blinds are already closed. There was plenty more she wished to ask, like was there such thing as a book of purebloods? Her Mother wouldn’t be very happy if she had made a bad impression of herself by appearing uninterested by someone from a strong pureblood family. Aurelia just couldn’t help it though it wasn’t very like her to be unsociable in a fairly good mood.
Why did Morelander have to be the chattier of the group? He asked questions that Aurelia wanted to answer, she had comments to. Perhaps she might be able to do it without getting an anxiety attack, probably. Aurelia realised the boy hadn’t yet opened the box of chocolate frogs, that was a good thing.
“Slytherin? Some students there aren’t very nice. Doubt you haven’t heard of Charles York. The boy who set the ballroom ablaze during the Blossom Ball. He was expelled though.” Aurelia stated, still looking at the window, which had nothing but a white blind to see, somewhat appearing disinterested. It was better than looking into those blue eyes right? She wasn’t going to tell them that she was the one who invited him in the first place, but that was another story for another time.
Then the boy asked for tips. She did have a few. Sneak into diagon alley and get yourself a marauders Map in order to find your way to hogsmaede and track down every student in Hogwarts. That was one of the many advices she had, but it would also possibly get the two first years in trouble if they did that.
“Don’t go on Professor Lear’s adventures. Don’t step on Proffesor Sorrel’s plants. Don’t get yourself into one of Proffesor Valtome’s detention. His detentions are the worse. Find yourself a Valtome translator when going to his class, he speaks giberish. What else... don’t go on Proffesor Lear’s adventures. ” She said. Proffesor Lear’s adventures were fr to dangerous for her taste. During the summer camp where his bunk... Aurelia’s bunk had been Attack by a few zombie like creatures. Aurelia also had other unappealing experiences.
Then the other boy Daniel had asked Lucien about what he had done in Hogwarts. Then went ahead to tell the girl she was a first year. That startled Aurelia, didn’t she say she was a second year, or had she said wrongly? She probably had said wrongly. Switching from First to Second year has a bit of getting used to. It was like writing the year 2017 to 2018. Sometimes you’d forget and write 2017 during the first few weeks of the year.
“Oh, I’m a second year actually. I probably forgotten to say ‘second year’.” She said, most likely sounding stupid in the process. She hoped they didn’t mind.
“I haven’t done anything too interesting, really.” Aurelia knew her own words was a lie. She had consumed gillyweed and had gone Swimming in the lake once. She had attended the blossomfest ball only to have it burned down by an angry Slytherin. She had organised her own pick up quidditch game, which didn’t turn out so well. Aurelia had done quite a lot of interesting stuff.

The Final Compartment
The heterochromatic boy noticed Aurelia's slight eye roll. Without thinking he turned towards her and spoke. "Would you rather me ask about politics or something of the sort? Are you from the upper class, middle class, or lower class, I myself am from the upper class. Is that better? Not all of us are good at being chatty or interesting." He stated in a calm tone. He didn't want to come off as rude of course but then again he wasn't fond of getting eye rolls from people. "As Aurelia has said, Do not go on Professor Lear's adventures. So far they've been catastrophic. Other than that, don't keep your head in a book for a whole year like I did. You won't do anything extremely interesting that way.
The conversation continued as the boy listened mostly quiet for now. Lucien clearly rolled his eyes at the mention of Charles York. "Set my sister ablaze as well. Glad that psychopath got expelled." He said with a bitter tone. The mere thought of that boy made Lucien angry. It wasn't every day that someone burned tables setting people on fire as well. He then listened to Daniel as he spoke. The best thing he had done at Hogwarts so far. It took him a moment to think. "Well. I suppose it would be the Ravenclaw and Slytherin expedition in the forbidden forest. Honestly I spent most of my first year avoiding anyone and everyone other than my sister." He stated simply, clearly indicating the fact he wasn't a very social person.
He wasn't lying a bit, his whole first year he kept his head buried in the books, only looking up every once in a while. In Lucien's opinion, Aurelia seemed a bit annoyed at the group, either that or he was terrible at reading the current situation. At this point in time Lucien wished he could bury his head in a book and ignore everyone. He was never a fan of socializing, and frankly he felt as if the conversation was going down hill far too quick, too much small talk, not enough true conversations. Suddenly Lucien remembered why he never started conversations.
